  1. Was this the lad who was wanted by Arsenal? Seems like a bit of a coup keeping hold of him?
  2. I agree there, they were definitely wrong to sack Rosenior
  3. Ruben Selles set to be sacked at Hull. .....awaits @chaddyrovers outrage
  4. Was it Watford who abused that system a few years back? I'm sure some new rules were brought in to close that loophole. Could be wrong on that though.
  5. Can they not just loan him straight over? or are there rules against that now?
  6. Β£9m!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I didn't know they paid that much! (Of course he would score past us though ☹️) Also, Jammy Bastards, Sunderland.
  7. Haji Wright is all kinds of awful, or at least he has been tonight
  8. I'm not criticising them tbh, more just pointing out that's the amount you need to spend to just about stay up now, the levels are that far apart. Pure speculation on my part but I think its catching them up now, The Forest owner kicking off at his manager for not beating already relegated Leicester, denting their chances of landing a Champions League spot. I think they need that CL money, or they'll be in trouble with regards to P&S rules.
  9. It took Forest circa Β£175m and signing 21 players to finish 16th and survive by 4 points. Yo-Yoing is definitely the strategy for a lot of clubs. In the case of Leeds, Dingles and Sheff Utd they've come back down, sold a few players for good money and reinvested a good portion (but not all) back into the squad. Dwarfing the spending anyone else can achieve but actually making a profit in the market in the process + having parachute payments to boot. They can all offer huge wages vs the rest of the league and can attract better players by paying insane fees to agents (see Leeds spending on that one)
  10. I thought I read that he was available for selection for last nights game but having brushed aside Bristol City in the first leg, they had the luxury of resting him again. Nice for some, to be able to rest a Β£10m player. Good summary that. Birmingham sound like they are going to be chucking some good money around this summer, Wrexham maybe also? Sunderland will likely spend a reasonable amount, albeit not to the level of the parachute payment teams. We're in with the rest, this group of 15 or so clubs that can finish anywhere from 7th - 24th. Bristol City won the tallest dwarf competition this year but could easily find themselves 18th next season. One of us could "do a Luton" but the chances are getting less and less. This group will start getting smaller over the next few years as other clubs start to circumnavigate the rules and investing more and more into their squads, coupled with teams with parachute payments not getting back up at the first time of asking. As always, in the medium to longer term under this ownership, we'll be in trouble and a few clubs like us will drop down to league 1, where the cycle will start again.
  11. BBD not even made the Sheff Utd squad. Shows what other clubs are up against now. Top 2 is a closed shop for clubs with parachute payments and now looks like the play offs are as well.
  12. Yes, I appreciate that but it won't be finalised without the player.
  13. I agree about the contracts but it looks like they are all on holiday now, so those will have to wait.
  14. Possibly in a minority but I thought Sanderson was good when he was on the pitch. I was hoping we would make his loan permanent but with Birmingham likely chucking big money about this summer, though we might get a cut price deal, Β£500k or so. Β£1m is a lot for the poor budget we will have, so probably not worth it.
  15. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Laughable stuff.
  16. Didn't realise we'd let Bloxham go as well. 20 years old, never really kicked on, probably the correct decision
  17. I think hes just got back playing again recently. I'm sure i saw a tweet from Barrow about it. Couple of sub apps but it's a start 🀞 Edit: didn't realise he'd been released (as per the above post)
  18. I think we'll be pushing to get all of those out the door. Markanday is out of contract I think, with a possible year extra if we activate it, which we'd only do to generate a small amount in a sale.
  19. A shame but not unexpected. Could be a real player there but he's lost a lot of development time at first team level due to his injuries. Highly likely he'll need to drop down to League 2 after getting injury free and re-starting his career.
  20. I'll be very surprised if he's a Rovers player come the start of the season. Didn't make the squad for the last 2 games and was an unused substitute 3 times before that. Gestede has already stated that RB & CM are positions we'll be looking at, so he's not being considered for those positions. He's too slow for any of the attacking positions.
  21. That Judge is booking his holiday for the rest of the week as we type..........
  22. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ What an absolute joke their court system is.
  23. A good first season for Yuki, no doubts there. He's also improved on aspects of his game that were lacking when he first joined, his first touch and control was pretty horrific when he joined but he's got up to speed with the league and it's improved a lot. Him getting a proper rest over the summer and a full pre-season with the squad should be good for him. What did we pay, like Β£200k for him? an absolute bargain.
