  1. .... with concrete is his boots. The ball bounces off him like it does off a wall
  2. Apart from gaining entry to the Champions League club (billionaires only need apply) there is no more glittering prize in the game than winning promotion to the moneyed elite of the Premier League It transforms the finances of clubs and gives them a firm financial footing for years, so much as that even if you get relegated you have the financial firepower to keep bouncing back time and time again. It’s not right but that’s the way football is This is the gift that Rovers had within their grasp in January , our best position in 10 years since we went down and have now thrown away owing to Mowbray’s pig headedness, incompetence and stupidity. It’s so frustrating watching all this unfold but probably predictable. In hindsight it’s obvious Tony stumbled across a winning formula and when it started to go wrong he didn’t have a clue how to put to right, resorting to his usual weird selections and tactics that had fans (and no doubt the players) tearing their hair out. Tony just can’t help himself.
  3. Forget the play-offs, it's just not going to happen. It's so bitterly disappointing and the worst thing is Rovers are showing relegation form This does not bode well for next season
  4. Ince tactical masterclass. Three words you'd never thought would be in the same sentence. He'll be loving this, getting one over the club that sacked him
  5. Six months of football and conceded a goal every game.....then good old Rovers turn up
  6. Thanks for that. He should be giving kids rides on Blackpool beach
  7. Hee-haw. But he runs around alot (allegedly)
  8. Wasn't it about the same with Bristol? Teams must love playing us
  9. Best result of the day.... Wales 21 Italy 22 in the rugby 🤣
  10. Fans say Mowbray gets too much stick and not enough credit when we win games but he doesn't help himself with performances like that first half. It's like the Derby match - if we somehow win today why should he get any plaudits when we've been so downright poor??
  11. Yep, you're right there Eyes down for another 45 minutes of agony
  12. Mowbray should be throwing the tea cups around just about now ..... but more likely the players throwing tea cups at him
  13. Sheff Utd 3 points in the bag, Luton the form team and Bournemouth both ahead The only saving grace is Millwall losing
  14. Made a late decision not to go in view of A34 road closure.... looks a good move so far
  15. So which players are going to lead this half-time revolt and tell Mowbray what to do?
  16. Tony being out-thought by Paul Ince.....that takes some doing
  17. Same could be said of the Bristol City match and many others Reading drew at Bournemouth last week and are fighting for their lives at the bottom. Oh, and we're the out of form team. I don't get why supporters think these sort of matches are "easy"
  18. Thanks, finally got through. TO opens at 10am but a message on the switchboard number to that effect would have been helpful. It's small details like that which make a difference For anyone thinking of making a late dash down there and paying on the gate, both Rovers and Reading say we have space available As above though, the A34 is shut so it's best to go all the way down the M40 to the M4
  19. So it's a match day and I can't get through to Ewood ticket office on the phone, or anyone at Ewood at all. Is there another number besides 01254 37200?
  20. Bad week for Burnley, two very late winners for both Everton and Leeds dealing severe blows to their survival chances. Even though they're our deadly rivals I sincerely hope they don't go down..... I'd much prefer the likes of Watford or Brentford get relegated than one of the great old Lancashire town teams.
  21. Yes, the ticket office told me yesterday Rovers fans can pay on the day
