If it was a Stoke handball you'd be saying the opposite This is a club in mourning. Please go away. -

This run of "form" is getting beyond a joke. Even by Mowbray's standards it's extraordinary. Most poor teams have a mini revival if only for a few weeks or games but this run since the new year has been unrelenting uselessness. I know it's been said many times but at 99 per cent of other clubs Mowbray would have been fired -

Have we had a shot on goal this half?....... in the entire match? -

As things stand, with this manager and this set of players this club will get relegated next season -

It was said on here before the season started that we would do well to avoid a relegation scrap and if it hadn't been for that good run before Christmas that's where would be now This is a relegation team -

That’s harsh. He’s a skilful player with a good eye for a pass. He has a lot of ability. It’s not his fault the manager is playing him in a ludicrous position to which he isn’t suited. I don’t know what Mowbray is playing at. The Buckley I saw at Peterborough was completely different to the Buckley from earlier in the season. He looked totally lacking in confidence and has obviously been badly affected by being constantly messed around by Mowbray -
Swann always had the control. Rashid is England's only leg spinner of recent times, and he was hardly a prolific wicket taker. Most spinners (off and leg) aren't worth their place in the team most of the time. Parkinson will get taken apart by good batsmen Strauss wasn't a media pundit. Just because Key talks a good game in the media doesn't qualify him for a senior management role
-
Apparently there weren't many applications for the England job Good luck to Rob Key. Baffles me what he's done to deserve it....former players-turned-TV pundits-turned-managers has such a good history with England
-
And maybe he won't.... and is highly unlikely Swann was a phenomenal bowler and a decent batsmen too. Parkinson bowls too many 4 balls (easy hits), which Swann rarely did. He has a long way to go to be half the player of Swann
-
Parkinson might get some lower order Test batsmen out but he won’t trouble the best. And he balls too many 4 balls, at least one an over. Swann’s skill was his ability to maintain pressure on the batsman by bowling dot balls, over after over.

Yes agree. We needed another good forward, possibly 2. Brereton’s injury would have been covered, the donkey Gallagher permanently replaced and Dack not rushed back. Speaking of Dack he’s nowhere near ready, he might as well not have been on the pitch yesterday -

I walked out the ground before the end I was so disgusted …. And I’ve never done that in 60 years watching football Reflecting on the game Peterborough deserved their win. We were abysmal throughout the 90 minutes and apart from the Brereton goal and Gallagher,s snap shot we never tested their keeper once while they could have gone in at half time two or three up The worst thing was that after Brereton’s unlikely goal we could not defend for 10 minutes and see the game out. The capitulation was horrible to watch and yet somehow you knew it was going to happen At the end of the day we have to face the fact that Rovers are a very ordinary team with a poor manager, and the good run before Christmas was a complete aberration -

I don’t think it’s about the players. It’s clear the winning run surprised the management as much as the fans. In truth it probably frightened them because the prospect of promotion became a real possibility, and that would upset their cosy lives bumbling along earning a good living in the middle of the championship. The glare of publicity of the Premier League would have ended that. The lack of meaningful business in January was telling and a pointer to the club’s true intentions. The management does not want BRFC to win promotion. -

The collapse in form with just 11 points from 42 is staggering … even by Mowbray standards. As has been pointed out, even average form of about 20 points would see us comfortably in the play off mix. It’s hard to conceive that it was deliberate by the management but perhaps it is. The lack of significant signings in January. It’s hard not to conclude the club does not want promotion. -

I didn't understand the Edun move either. Typical off the wall Mowbray pick. Johnson was twice as effective when he came on and should have started the game. Buckley's confidence is shot to pieces - not surprising since he's played in out of position most of the time. Mowbray is ruining a lad who could be a very good player -

There was plenty of booing at half-time and I didn't stay long enough to hear any Mowbray out chants at the final whistle but there were alot of unhappy fans when that 2nd goal went in. I find it staggering to be honest when people can't see what's staring them in the face -

I left the match early today in disgust - and I've never done that in my life before We didn't deserve to be 1-0 up but even with that luck we couldn't hang on to it. Posh applied the slightest bit of pressure and we just fell apart. It was pathetic to watch and just so predictable I won't be going to another away match for a very long time -

For the first time in 60 years of watching Rovers I walked out of a match before the final whistle today That is what Tony Mowbray has reduced me to -

Report from London Road going to sleep in the sunshine here. Rovers don’t look bothered, no intensity, no pressure, nothing -
Clutching at straws but if we are to get in the playoffs we need a Forest win or a draw Bad start to the day

The Ryan Nyambe Appreciation Thread
jim mk2 replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Congrats to Ryan on his 200th game..... hope he plays and the wooden top in the dugout keeps him on the field for 90 minutes instead of substituting him as usual by rote. He's had his critics over the years and there are still parts of his game that can improve but has matured into an excellent defender. -
Root should have gone after the Ashes debacle. Although the problems in English cricket are deep rooted (geddit?) he hasn't helped himself with some baffling decisions and weak strategies on the field. Who next? Stokes doesn't strike me as a great thinker and appointing your best player as skipper doesn't usually work. An all rounder has enough to do never mind captain the side.....evidence the example of Ian Botham's disastrous tenure when the team still lost and his own form dipped. I'd get the best captain from county cricket, an experienced strategist and one who inspires other players. A winner. Is there another Mike Brearley out there?

No "has" about it. Poor teams and managers continue to get poor results
