  1. "Rovers will have their eyes on a bagful of goals today"
  2. Disappointing a very low key ending I thought. Jed Mercurio does have trouble rounding off these dramas; the finale to the Bodyguard was ludicrous. LoD did tantalisingly offer the prospect of a return when Hastings asked the rhetorical question of who promoted Buckles (sp?) to a senior rank when he was clearly a useless police officer, though I may have misread it
  3. Yep. 5 out of 10. Just wasn't as bad as usual
  4. Rovers should have won that by 3 or 4 Tripe.
  5. Brereton hasn't hit the target all day
  6. Superb ball by Eliliott.....Armstrong misses yet again. Needs 5 chances to score 1
  7. Another very soft goal really......happens all the time
  8. Whose side are the commentators on - seems like they want Rotherham to equalise
  9. Giles..... a full back who can cross a ball. Get him signed up
  10. Rotherham left back Ryan Giles looks a good player
  11. Blimey, League 1 player at best. A few like him in the team and a relegation struggle next season is odds-on. Watch Bell for that first goal - beaten on the inside and the outside and couldn't get a tackle in. He's better going forward than Douglas but unable to cross a decent ball. Sell.
  12. Pretty good Back: Dewi Atherton, John Coddington, Jim Fryatt, Laurie Calloway, Don Martin, Dick Mulvaney. Middle row: Allan Hunter, Ken Knighton, Frank Kopel, John Barton, Adam Blacklaw, George Sharples, Sir Keith. Front row: John Connelly, Billy Wilson, Brian Hill, Malcolm Darling, Eamonn Rogers, Stuart Metcalfe, Ray Charter.
  13. Nah then. Rovers line up for the 1969-70 season Note no logos, advertising, names or numbers on the front of the kit anywhere. And this is without doubt the best Rovers kit of all time - absolutely no arguments. Beautiful. But can you name the players?
  14. Just seen the highlights. There was little merit in the win as Huddersfield were clearly on their holidays. There's so many reasons to be fearful for next season.
  15. Wycombe with its Rovers-supporting manager who has led his club to rock bottom of the league are losing again. Why anyone wants him to replace Mowbray is very hard to fathom
  16. Mick McGrath, Ken Taylor, Ian Lawther, Ronnie Clayton (in front) and Matt Woods during a training session at Feniscowles before the FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough on February 13, 1962. Younger fans might like to note the state of the pitch they are training on. That is how it used to be
  17. He wants to sacked, I'm sure of it. He looks and sounds like he's had enough and he probably knows he should be gone. Even he's probably perplexed why he's still there. He's just hanging around for his payoff and is waiting for the bullet. But still it doesn't come because there's no one with the authority to pull the trigger. A dysfunctional club plods on, rudderless and directionless. It's all so frustrating and sad
  18. Trying to have a "passing" side is fine but it has to be done at pace and in the opponent's half We pass it around in our own half, very slowly. It's the same every game, and it doesn't work. Why can't he see it?
  19. What CEO would watch this and the rubbish served up for the past few months and not sack the manager?
  20. So is it 11 points out of 51 as its stands?
  21. Are the commentators on the Rovers payroll? They're far too mild in their criticism
  22. This really is pathetic. We'll be odds on to go down next season if Mowbray stays in post
  23. Ed Woodward gone at ManU - piqued at ESL collapse or impending financial trouble at Old Trafford? Either way, big clubs in turmoil Long may it continue
  24. Only in Scotland, Wales and N Ireland, not in England
