  1. We need a top forward, better than Brereton or Gallagher
  2. Cabango's been fouling all game
  3. I'm actually enjoying watch us play - haven't said that in a long while
  4. Brereton ueseles useless useless. What a miss
  5. The ref didn't give that Brereton pen because it was so early in the game. He bottled it totally. Gallagher was clumsy.
  6. More than likely. He'll be hatching some cock-eyed team tonight based on some Swansea videos. Fans call it Tony's Tombola and it's true - jumble up the players' names in hat and see who comes out. If we start the team that played against Millwall I'd be very surprised
  7. Was the win that convincing? Millwall hit the post, Smith missed a simple header and there were several goalmouth scrambles where we could have conceded.
  8. The 2 worst 1. England 2 West Germany 3 1970. We were World Champions. Never been so disappointed - ever 2. England 0 Poland 1 1973. 90 minutes of pure torture followed by Italia 90, Euro 96 and the Croatia semi defeat in the last World Cup Anyway, back to mundanity and a welcome win over Millwall
  9. Thanks for the reminder TS. I can still feel the shock now. Worst match ever as an England fan
  10. Much better. Held the ball up well and looked a handful for their defenders. Looked like he was enjoying himself too playing in his correct position.
  11. Gallagher needs to play centre forward or not at all.
  12. Does this mean Mowbray's off the hook for the previous 8 games?
  13. Gallagher deserved that from I've seen. Looks so much a better player when he's playing down the middle.
  14. Is there a rule that we have to make substitutions? The team's playing well so why not leave it alone?
  15. Gallagher looks a player going down the middle - amazing that
  16. Unless Root and Stokes score runs England will always struggle, especially away from home. The rest manage the odd good score but can't do it consistently or just aren't good enough . Some of them have poor techniques which doesn't get found out at county level and is an indictment of the domestic game. I mean Sibley - most decent club batsmen have a better technique than him Batting has been a problem for England for years, since Cook, Trott, Bell, Pietersen, Flintoff and Vaughan et al were in their pomp. The cupboard looks bare too.
  17. Just listen to your Uncle JIm.
  18. The match is panning out more of less as I thought. India will make around 300 or more and we'll be battling to avoid an innings defeat Mid afternoon tomorrow could see it all over
  19. Chris Rush: “Although I will leave the club at the start of March I am very positive about the direction the club is taking. Under Tony Mowbray, the club has been transformed since relegation to League One in 2017. The performance environment he has built can only contribute to any future success." No comment required
  20. Me too. Went to Craven Cottage the year we went down to League One and Fulham ran him ragged at left back. No pace and positional sense terrible. He did a decent job at centre half I thought
  21. Even though India struggled, with our batting I never thought at any point we'd win that Test. 81 all out in the 2nd innings proved it. Unless Root or Stokes make big scores in the 2nd innings we're heading the same way in this Test.
  22. At what point in the 3rd Test did we "put ourselves in a position to win"? Reminder: we were bowled out for 112 and 81. Just seen the "highlights". By all accounts it's a good pitch so India's batsmen will be disappointed not to make 350. Can we make 140 to avoid an innings defeat? Unlikely
  23. All managers are a gamble to some extent but it's odd that they were shown the door at Huddersfield so soon. What was the reason? And if they are so highly regarded why have been out of work for the past 8 months? My biggest regret is that the likes of McCarthy, Warnock, Pearson and Allardyce have all been available over the past 12 months or so. I'd have welcomed any of them to the club.
