  1. Even in the worst days in the 1960s and 1970s I don't think I ever saw Rovers not have a shot on target in 45 minutes
  2. If we lose this that'll be 5 points out of 30 How many managers would survive that?
  3. Blimey, this is poor. Brentford have done some homework on our new formation
  4. Yep. I've seen enough. Brentford will get a 2nd here if we don't get into this game
  5. We're way off the pace here. Brentford so much better
  6. The pressure' s off Mowbray because of the improved performances in the past 2 games But even if we go on an unbeaten run for a while we've still only taken 5 points out of 27 and everyone knows the same pattern will happen over and over again next season and beyond. For an ambitious club, grabbing the likes of Wilder, like Warnock, Pearson, Alladyce, when they become available is a no-brainer. Will it happen? Not a chance
  7. Yes, but they only conceded one goal and they didn't crumble. He was always there to foil our attacks in the 2nd half.. A difficult player, wish we had him
  8. Contagno (spelling?) looked a good defender, held them together and was always there to foul when he needed to. This was a difficult match for them and it's players like him who get teams through
  9. Amid the hope of the performance tonight we've still only taken 5 points from 27. Even an average haul of 15 from 27 we'd only be 3 points off 6th. 20 points from 27 and we'd now be in a playoff place.
  10. I wouldn't be quick to put Armstrong straight back in. For all the faults of Brereton and Gallagher, the shape of this team works with their physical presence and it's noticeable that it's working better for Dack too.
  11. I wouldn't start him - and then only possibly instead of Gallagher. The shape of this team is much better
  12. Plus points: Dolan had an excellent first half but faded in the second. Best game I've seen from Buckley. Minus: You'd think with a top forward like Ayew in our side we'd have won that. Brereton should have scored that chance at the start of the 2nd half all day long
  13. That's 5 points out of 27 and Mowbray's stumbled on a much better team by default
  14. We need a top forward, better than Brereton or Gallagher
  15. Cabango's been fouling all game
  16. I'm actually enjoying watch us play - haven't said that in a long while
  17. Brereton ueseles useless useless. What a miss
  18. The ref didn't give that Brereton pen because it was so early in the game. He bottled it totally. Gallagher was clumsy.
  19. More than likely. He'll be hatching some cock-eyed team tonight based on some Swansea videos. Fans call it Tony's Tombola and it's true - jumble up the players' names in hat and see who comes out. If we start the team that played against Millwall I'd be very surprised
  20. Was the win that convincing? Millwall hit the post, Smith missed a simple header and there were several goalmouth scrambles where we could have conceded.
  21. The 2 worst 1. England 2 West Germany 3 1970. We were World Champions. Never been so disappointed - ever 2. England 0 Poland 1 1973. 90 minutes of pure torture followed by Italia 90, Euro 96 and the Croatia semi defeat in the last World Cup Anyway, back to mundanity and a welcome win over Millwall
