  1. Bet you've never been called "bro" before. See above
  2. We could do with some terrier-like players to give us more bite in midfield. Time to let some of our young reserves off the leash?
  3. Yes, but the recipient just sees "reacted" - not "like", "sad", "thanks", "confused" or "funny". Reacted on its own doesn't mean owt.
  4. I know what "like" means, but reacted can be taken any number of ways and doesn't mean anything ? Can we use plain English please ?
  5. What does the notification mean saying a member "reacted" to a post ?
  6. Warner was banned after throwing a punch at Joe Root - what Stokes has done is far more serious. I cannot see how they can let him go on the tour.
  7. Cardiff City, the club managed by Neil Warnock, who was rejected as manager by Blackburn Rovers in 2016 in favour of Owen Coyle, are at this present time sitting 3 points ahead of their nearest rivals, Leeds United, at the top of the Championship after going 3-0 up on their second placed Yorkshire rivals tonight. Former Rover Junior Hoilett scored for Cardiff and 27,000 fans were in the stadium. I mention this only in passing as we scuffle among the deadbeats in the third division.
  8. Not sure whether Venky's know football from cricket ; Guardiola and the advent of the Champions League takes most of the blame for this. One reason why I switched the TV off when his Barcelona were on and rarely watch the CL now. . Boring, dull, repetitive and not how football should be played.
  9. A whole host of managers who have picked him nearly always as first choice would suggest he isn't a "terrible footballer" but a good solid pro at second division level.
  10. Lowe was man of the match v Leeds the other week. And he could still have done a good job for us this season, either at right back or in midfield. Are his replacements in those positions really any better? Or another note, I hope that's the last of Redknapp. He's never liked Rovers and compounded it by inspiring Birmingham to stay up last season at our expense. I hope they go down this time.
  11. Barnsley might have hit the jackpot - an Chinese-American consortium is in talks to buy the club. Interesting thing is the consortium is led to Bllly Beane of US baseball's "Moneyball" fame.
  12. It was a quote from people who had seen him play for Rotherham
  13. Bairstow needs a rocket from the England management for that shot - totally unnecessary in the context of the game. An England lead of 220-250 might be enough.
  14. An accountant at Ewood has deemed RR another unnecessary cost and dispensable and its closure marks another step down and decline in the club's status. The way it was announced too was shoddy and in keeping with all the other PR disasters over the past 7 years. Rovers' management failure is just another example of why we are incapable of running anything of worth in this country and much of infracstutcure / industry is in foreign hands
  15. This worries me. A passing game rarely wins promotion out of the lower divisions. We need a strong, physical team in which every player knows his job and plays to a fixed formation every week, usually a 4-4-2. Mowbray likes to tinker with his teams too much, which serves only to confuse players. A"passing" team can also be bullied and harried out of possession when the going gets tough - do we have the players who can do that too ?
  16. Football's elite players and clubs get richer and richer while the 99.99 per cent paddle furiously to stand still. Sounds like the UK economy..................
  17. You need to do some background reading https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2012/may/22/flat-taxes-taxpayers-alliance
  18. I know what is legal or not thank you. No one should ave any sympathy for Ferguson; he tried to avoid paying his dues and got caught out. Flat taxes favour the wealthiest and hit the poorest hardest; presumably you think that's a good thing
  19. And there's the rub..... it's entirely wrong that Ferguson's behaviour is legal. Tax evasion is a problem in this country, but tax avoidance is a huge issue too. When the govt is short of money (unless it's handing over £1bn bribes to the DUP) there are far too many ways for people with clever advisers to avoid paying tax. A vote for Jeremy is a vote to end these tax abuses.
  20. Waste of money in my book. £1,800 is a big chunk from your family finances and would be better spent on education, kids activities such as actually playing sport, and travel, which broadens the mind. Anything's better than lounging around watching TV and lining Rupert Murdoch's pockets.
  21. You're on £25k a year (according to you) yet have enough spare cash to waste £1,800 on Sky?
