  1. Yes, it's annoying. London media bias
  2. It's a bit like the Bazball (cricket) ideology as applied to football. It doesn't always work and there are times when you have to grind out a point. A few more of those away from home last season and we might have been in the play-offs.
  3. I wouldn't, I really wouldn't. Unattractive ground and town, and we're going to get tonked. Save your money
  4. More football disappointment on the international stage Have to say beaten by the better team
  5. They’ve learnt a lot from their Spanish male counterparts
  6. Object lesson by Spain here in keeping the ball and playing out time
  7. Foul on James then was clearer than the penalty
  8. It really is That’s part of the “charm” No need to be condescending
  9. Few charms? It’s more watchable than a lot the dross in the Premier League and Championship
  10. Spain could be 3 up You can see Barcelona philosophy in the way they play, mastery of the ball, strong in possession, pressing high and the 7 second rule of trying to get the ball back when they lose it
  11. Brilliantly worked by Spain made the most of gap left by Bronze Much the better team at the moments
  12. Spain very skilful this is going to be tough
  13. A win, a draw and a loss The die is cast for the season all right. 11th place here we come and Steve and his sidekick in their jobs for another £300,000 a year
  14. It's almost as if it were deliberate. Rovers being in the top 6 most of last season must have frightened him and Waggott to death
  15. Leonard and Dolan starting up front says it all - one lad nowhere near ready and the other plainly not good enough. Until the striker problem is addressed this is going to be a difficult season.
  16. It's the little things that do you - the small errors that lesser players make. This a is a mid-table squad and the quality is just not there
  17. Apart from running around a lot what quality would that be?
  18. That team may or may not win today but it has to be said it's not good, it's lacking in quality and it's certainly not top 6 material As it stands, and with 2 weeks to go until the window closes, we're weaker than last season
  19. Yes, the match circa 1964-5 ? we were 2-0 down and came back to beat them 3-2. Another great game,. They were throwing bottles all over the place outside Ewood. I can't remember when changing ends stopped - probably by about 1970 or so. It was a sad day for football
  20. Different era. Swapped ends at half time and had a bit of banter with opposition fans going the other way, but that's as far as it went. Football was fun then
  21. Sorry, missed it. Were you there? I was sitting in the Nuttall St stand that day, near the Blackburn End. Never to be forgotten
  22. Thanks, memories from 60 years ago! Next time I remember seeing Mackay at Ewood was about six years later with Derby County. Early days of the Clough era. Score was 1-1, again from memory
  23. Correct. Rovers raced into a 3-0 lead, and Jimmy Greaves IIRC pulled 2 back before the break
  24. The Spurs match was without doubt the best match and the best Rovers performance I've seen in a lifetime of watching Can still see those goals in my mind's eye. A brilliant day Andy McEvoy died in 1994.
