  1. Neither was a foul by Trafford.
  2. The problem isnt the channel. Its the inconvenience it causes matchgoing fans who should be the priority to facilitate supporters given the option to pick from various games from their armchair.
  3. May I ask why you have faith? So faith in there being enough money to suitably strengthen and Gestede heading our recruitment to get a goalscorer and some pace within that. You keep saying this but obviously none of us know who they are. No one has said I wish we signed them.
  4. If anything, the luck went against them tonight with 2 dodgy penalties. They clearly arent shit (they are professional footballers @chaddyrovers to coin your phrase, how can they be shit?!) because theyve conceded 9 goals all season and have 1 point short of 2 points per game.
  5. I havent said that I dont trust Eustace and you are purposely twisting my words to suggest as such. I am saying is it possible/likely to get what we need to reach the play offs factoring in our likely small budget? And Eustace wont be the only one involved in deciding on who we go for. Weve spent probably a not dissimilar amount on 2 strikers already and the fact that we want another suggests that we didnt get it right on those occasions, and we are in a similar position in terms of finances. It is hard. I think the main fear is not having the requisite budget to improve sufficiently. That would be the most likely reason if we dont sign what we need, which isnt Eustace's fault. I dont see why people shouldnt see what fans of previous clubs think, look at stats, comment on injury records and comment on seeing a player in question play previously, positive or negative should they choose. It cant just be a case of, well he must be good enough if hes being signed as Eustace as approved it. I have never heard of some of the players signed. So I dont know if they are good or not. And I am not saying that we should have signed those particular individuals. It goes back to the point about when you have a bit of money, it makes it easier to then go out and sign players quicker. Especially when you broaden your horizons and choose not just from the limited domestic pool. We likely will be active in the loan market you would think, more likely than not. Do you have faith that we get the players we need in this window?
  6. We will likely be waiting on loans which more often than not are only authorised by their parent club towards the end of the money.
  7. That doesnt necessarily mean we will recruit what we need. Will Sanderson not be 4th choice? And you need 4 centre backs, its hardly a criticism.
  8. Do you think/predict we will get what we need in this window?
  9. Numerous teams have not read the rule book and have signed players for decent fees already. Who genuinely has faith that we can and will bring in what we need?
  10. Either show it normally as a standalone game or leave it as Saturday at 3. Same with Sky at 12.30 putting on loads of games when you can only watch 1. No one gives a shit about fans.
  11. Those last minute mishaps arent specific to any individual, the same happened when we tried to sign DJ Campbell.
  12. Exactly. If his sole focus was to make as much money as possible, as if any other manager comes purely for the love of it. Then promotion would have led to a considerable pay rise, maybe a bonus and maybe a new deal. If he was fearful that he would have been sacked upon promotion at some point. He would have then been paid up his contract and not had to work for it, "lining his pension fund" very nicely considering the pay rise, and had a far better CV as and when he then decided to go back to work. This is exactly where peoples dislike of him causes their arguments to become illogical and if you question it you are deemed an apologist. On purely football terms, his time here was clearly not horrid and him being manager would cause only the most unhinged of fan to have to stop following if he was in charge. He did a good job, promotion and 2 solid seasons, then 1 really poor season, then 1 when we overachieved considering we sold our best player and only really loaned players that season, albeit the way it unfolded clearly meant a change was best for everyone. He has his limitations and perhaps isnt the man to really push you on but West Brom have hardly appointed a bad manager, hes at least a steady pair of hands. If you sign a player, another club has to let them go so I dont think him being let go is the primary concern. We do need a goalscorer and he isnt a natural one by any means, hes not a natural finisher and his record in terms of goals shows that. He does offer other things notably pace and would probably be our best striker so he would offer something we need and also likely be some sort of upgrade, the question is whether he is the man to lead our attempt to score more goals and the jury is certainly out on if he is capable of that. That being said, it doesnt feel like it is about to be done any time soon if at all anyway.
  13. Some people just lost all reason in terms of judging Mowbray and you would think years after his departure may have regained some balance but no. "Horrific" "couldnt stand him" and would have to avoid Rovers if he was here, deary me. Did a good job, stayed a bit too long, his departure was welcomed.
  14. He clearly wasnt terrible and he brought through a number of academy graduates so im not sure how he threw them under the bus.
  15. The quote youve replied to was in a totally different conversation about Aaron Connolly. I would suggest that if you are giving him absolutely no credit for getting a team (I think the season after promotion?) into the play offs then you are possibly beyond the point of being willing to judge him fairly. He has a job getting West Brom into there this season with the limitations they have especially with injuries up top and hopefully he doesnt as they are around us but good to see him back fit and well and in football potentially.
  16. I dont think Sunderland fans would agree. Although they are struggling up front with Maja and Dike out injured.
  17. With West Brom about to appoint Mowbray, I wonder if that stops any potential of agreeing to sign Jed Wallace.
  18. Another that comes to life as a wannabe ITK.
  19. It wasnt aimed at you, was a general point. I agreed with your point.
  20. Absolutely, reasons both for buying and selling a player alike. Finances a big one, interference/joint decisions from others especially nowadays etc. And its not an exact science, judgements on a players ability is subjective. So there is no reason to disrespect supporter for having them.
  21. I dont think these hyperbolic examples of supporters (similar to the one about twitter and doing terrible things to cats or whatever it was) do the situation justice and I dont get what you would gain from a supporters messageboard if you show such disregard for what people think. We dont know even if Robins is interested in him, and also as @RevidgeBlue touches on there is a manager in all potential transfers who has been watching the player at his most recent performance level every day and has decided that he is happy to let him go. So if you follow that line of thought, surely that would come into the thinking if your stance is, well I think the professionals know a little bit more than us? Of course these professionals clearly know more than any of us, I dont think anyone has suggested otherwise. But nowadays, its so easy to see these players and lots including myself have seen Thomas Asante play on a number of occasions. Beyond highlights and transfermarkt. And enough to hold a respectable opinion as to what we think of him. If you was talking to someone at the game or down the pub, and they said well I dont think this player is what we need, would you turn round and shut them down by saying I think they know more than you, mock their job and exaggerate how little you think they have seen the player in question? Another thing to consider is that these managers are working in conjunction with other staff members and under budgetary restrictions. It is feasible that he maybe is the best option for what we can afford and also not suitable to lead the line for the ambitions we should have. (Not that I personally am specifically saying that)
  22. Dolan like all of the front 4 was fairly anonymous but he did put in one excellent cross that Hyam should have scored with and was probably just about the best, or moreso the least bad of the front 4, I would agree.
