  1. Sagnan is seemingly going to Sunderland. Not that we would have ever had serious interest.
  2. Iversen is a good keeper. The other 2 are squad players.
  3. Preston meanwhile have just announced their 4th signing of the window.
  4. I dont see how it is a "disgrace" or indeed how any managerial decision is a disgrace. They finished 17th in the Premier League. The cup win obviously is huge but you cant based on this season think logically that Ange is the man to take them forward. The correct as opposed to sentimental decision has been made.
  5. Tronstad is certainly not "half the player" that Travis is. He is better albeit also older so that will likely mean that he is less valuable. We shouldnt be selling either.
  6. No, Ismael said it. Was just checking if you thought it was realistic/likely. So 3 signings in 3 weeks? Lets see but I fear you may be disappointed.
  7. Bruno Ribeiro was a long time ago. Do you expect 90% in by the start of pre season?
  8. Pasha to run the commercial side πŸ˜‚ Funnier even than Gestede running the football side. They want someone to take the role of CEO who is happy to have minimal responsibility to give the power mainly to Suhail.
  9. You have also predicted imminent administration for about 10 years in a row to be fair.
  10. Selling our captain and one of our best players to Wrexham would I think be a new low.
  11. I find the strength of opinion against him to be strange, but what players say about the staff is meaningless. Obviously they will speak highly of him.
  12. And if the keepers are asked publically they will always say how good they are.
  13. I dont have an opinion on whether he is good or not, but players will always praise them. Means absolutely nothing.
  14. So Suhail gets more power and Gestede will essentially be taking over without the PR of having to announce it. Joke club. Until the owners go, everything else is small fry.
  15. I think Japan chose not to select a number of their best players for whatever reason.
  16. And theres now an article saying we have a "verbal" offer to Tyjon that as of yet hasnt led to a new deal. We have a busy 3 weeks or so ahead. Ismael wants 90% of business done by pre season, and as far as I can see, we need a right back, centre back, 2 central midfielders, an attacking midfielder, 2 wingers and a striker. Thats before potential replacements for the players about to enter their final year. Ismael said he wanted 6 or 7 and that was when we assumed Batth and Weimann were staying. With our well run club, I am sure that we will have 7 of those 8 players all ready to go for pre season to satisfy Ismael, and deals for Tronstad, Travis and Brittain all sorted as after all, we couldnt possibly offer them anything mid season. Seems like on that Sagnan, 2 weeks after saying we were in advanced talks. Jackson only ever occasionally mentions it and just repeats that he has reported that. No suggestion that anything has or will happen on that.
  17. If only we had owners like that. Although they can fuck off with their idea to play domestic games abroad. It will happen though sooner rather than later.
  18. Im not sure he does look capable to be a regular. He is a midfielder, he started one game at right back and got sent off. Mind you, this club dont care about capability.
  19. Both Poku and Jade Jones will require compensation, will have lots of interest and Peterborough are hard to deal with.
  20. I am not criticising the academy or individual players. I am criticising the club for setting arbitary targets which I feel creates a conflict of interest, and am also criticising the club for putting an unrealistic burden on producing players that are capable of playing in the Championship. All for the purpose of saving money. You've taken your own interpretation of Gestede's messages in your usual blinkered way and have assumed its all part of a viable and logical plan. You've also not acknowledged the reasons why we had so many academy minutes 2 seasons ago. One now departed special talent and also a lack of depth to the point where we nearly went down.
  21. I read that Glasner said the week after that Wharton was sleeping in the afternoons for hours at a time which was very unusual for him.
  22. Actually, its not a target but its all part of a great plan whereby players will only play those minutes when they are ready and 3 selected players are 100% ready to play that many minutes based on very brief cameos. And if you doubt this, you must want the academy shutting down. We were at those numbers before due to 2 reasons. One special once in a generation talent, no longer at the club. And budget cuts meaning that sub par players ended up playing far too much and we ended up nearly going down.
  23. I never said it was a fact, but its a fair assumption shared by most. Easy to say that hes best off staying when you cant look past your personal bias. If we arent offering him a competitive wage and he can earn significantly more elsewhere, at a club with actual ambition, it would be a strange decision to avoid that sort of challenge in favour of staying comfortable at a club with no ambition of promotion.
