  1. Bristol City picking up an away win last night. Sadly, anybody who thinks we can outperform 3 of Coventry, West Brom, Bristol City and Boro hasn't watched Rovers perform February onwards for the last 10 years. We need to be picking up 3 points in these away games to relegation fodder - we just never ever do. How's about this going into Derby away - We have LOST all 10 of our last matches away to promoted L1 sides (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024/25 so far). Outside of Ipswich we've only scored 4 goals in those games! 2024 Oxford (A) - Lost 1-0 2023 Plymouth (A) - Lost 3-0 2023 Ipswich (A) - Lost 4-3 2023 Sheffield Wed (A) - Lost 3-1 2022 Wigan (A) - Lost 1-0 2022 Rotherham (A) - Lost 4-0 - christ this was a low point 2022 Sunderland (A) - Lost 2-1 2021 Hull (A) - Lost 2-0 2021 Peterborough (A) - Lost 2-1 2021 Blackpool (A) - Lost 2-1 2020 Coventry (A) - Won 4-0 (!) October 2020 2020 Wycombe (A) - Lost 1-0 2020 Rotherham (A) - Drew 1-1
  2. Just the +38% YoY increase there. Looks like Waggott has jumped from £309k + £12k pension contribution to £433k + £159k pension contribution.
  3. I’d go as far as saying if we win all 4 then we will be 99% in. We’d have a huge gap from 7th if we went on a 4 game win streak now. Theres slim to no chance we win all 4 though. Based on our price of 15/8 to beat Derby, then it’s about 50/1 we pick-up maximum points from those 4 games.
  4. Not expecting anything from those away games. Bookies make bottom of the table Derby favourites against us - shows where we are really. Have to beat Cardiff at home and pick up at least one more win from the other 3
  5. We’re slowly sliding backwards. Struggle to see us finishing above Coventry, West Brom or Boro. Need to get back to winning ways against Derby
  6. Ohashi for Cantwell going forward I hope. Always wanted to see more of him playing off Gueye earlier this season. Tronstad being back is huge, there is a gulf between him and Forshaw, and Travis looked instantly better once Sondre came on.
  7. Never a 2nd yellow, but should have been off for the first. Cant remember as bad a referee performance as this, for both sides. Hopefully never see Dennis play for us again. Absolute waste of space and looks an awful ‘character’. Saw him throw his arms in the air more times than touches of the ball
  8. Pears loves to just give the ball back to Norwich with an aimless lump
  9. Why did we loan him for a handful of games on a ridiculous wage then? If you’re going to get a January loan, they have to be instantly match fit (not a dig at yourself sorry but the recruitment team)
  10. I’d be fuming with this ref if I was a Norwich fan. Such a bad standard of officiating in this league
  11. Dennis looks absolute pony. More of a luxury than Cantwell. Lots of moaning, shite touch and a horror challenge there.
  12. Can’t believe I forgot about this classic @Exiled_Rover
  13. He is going to the top as we all knew. Shame he came through in our Venkys era. For his sake I'm sort of glad he ended up at a club like Palace. Whilst it highlights how far we've fallen (the fact that Palace are buying our generation talent!), at least he's getting loads of game time at a stable club where it's not toxic and there's little pressure. And fair fucks to Palace too - they did their homework (easy homework), but picking up the likes of Wharton, Eze, Olise from the Championship whilst mugs like United spend a fortune in the dog and duck leagues of Europe. I hope Tuchel is watching (no more Angel Gomes taking his spot)
  14. Yeah exactly, we threw plenty of those performances in under Eustace, JDT, Mowbray etc. It was just a classic Blackburn Rovers long away trip after a bit of optimism arrived (2 wins on the bounce and clear in 5th). See also, Coventry, Plymouth and Oxford away under Eustace. I'd take defeat to Swansea all day if it means a comfortable 3 points on Saturday.
  15. Get Kargbo running flat out at Duffy
  16. Yep, Lowe form takes us to 75 points and practically guarantees a spot. Our current season form would take us to 69 points which I think will be touch and go.
  17. Amongst all the manager talk I think the size of this game has fallen under the radar. If Rovers win, we move 7 points clear of Norwich, close to knocking them out of the race with only 11 games to go. Let’s hope we get a combination of new manager bounce + long away trip for 12pm. Lose and I doubt we’ll make it back into the top 6
  18. 1.58ppg over this spread of games (rounded) 3 games = 5 points 5 games = 8 points 7 games = 11 points 10 games = 16 points 12 games = 19 points (which takes us to 70 total) I think that’s what you were asking but apologies if not
  19. In the interest of 'new manager, new hope'. Here's the playoff picture ahead of us.... 2nd easiest run-in after Coventry Bristol City have a stinker of a run-in We play 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th all at Home, all of which are in the playoff hunt, these games are massive, starting on Saturday. West Brom have to play Leeds, Burnley, Coventry, Norwich and Bristol City all away Burnley have to play all our rivals bar ourselves (West Brom, Coventry, Bristol City, Watford, Norwich) - I guess we can cheer on draws.
  20. My guess he's imaging the Barnsley stint was League One, where it was actually an impressive 5th place finish in the Championship he took them too (relegated the next year after he left)
  21. Yeah, I agree with that. It'll be interesting to see what he goes with. Fully fit, it's not a bad squad, albeit very reliant on certain players (Travis, Tronstad, Brittain predominately due to being stand out performers and lack of depth in their position).
  22. No wonder he's known for long ball - 5 defenders + T&T just leaves huge gaps between midfield and attack, nobody to actually open it up. Might play into Gueyes strengths though if it's go wide and sling it in. If so i'd slot in Ohashi somewhere, seems to be the man in the right spot for the 2nd ball, before his injury
  23. Looks like he played a 3-4-3 at LASK, Barnsley and West Brom (sometimes 5-4-1, so I assume it's wingbacks), then changed to 4-3-3 at Watford. 343 / 541 would be something like this I guess? (substitute Cantwell / Dennis / Ohashi / Beck where you see fit) Carter - Hyam - Batth Brittain Ribiero Travis - Tronstad Dolan Gueye Kargbo 433 maybe this, which I think suits us better (again Carter / Dennis / Ohashi / Beck where you see fit) Brittain - Hyam - Batth - Ribiero Travis - Cantwell - Tronstad Dolan Gueye Kargbo
