  1. 6 wins, 2 draws, 5 defeats. Feels pretty do-able for sure, and I’d be very surprised if 71 points didn’t get us a spot this season.
  2. The worrying thing is the bold (majority) are all either gone at the end of the season or out of contract in the next 6/12/18 months. We need to get Travis and Tronstad tied down asap. We should give Ribiero a longer deal if he continues as he has started. We should extend Dolan - despite what many say on here he is a solid Championship attacker and won’t be short of suiters (no point selling as we never reinvest) Hyam may be at his ‘Lenihan’ stage and want more money, but if the deal is right, tie him down too.
  3. They’re not wrong. I thought we looked really good today. Fully in control and should have been a goal up in the 1st half. Kept possession really well with the midfield dominating. I wasn’t sure how much was to do with Plymouth being crap, but if they’re saying that then maybe we’ve looked better than their recent opponents.
  4. Great by Gueye and Kargbo there too! Such a good goal! Gueye, Dennis, Ohashi, Kargbo, Dolan, Cantwell. Good 6 options for our 4 attacking players
  5. Dolan has had another good game. The bloke is a solid championship attacker and we’d be clambering to sign him if he was on the opposition. Fully deserving of a new contract. edit: and posted before the goal!!
  6. Can’t argue with that. Millwall goal and a Wednesday goal and it’s be pretty perfect
  7. Forshaw!!!! Christ it must all be lining up for us 😂 9 years since his last goal, and it comes against his old club. Equivalent of Nyambe scoring against us 😂
  8. No excuse to not have Dennis on the pitch here - these are terrible at the back
  9. Boro now losing - downside would be they might pot Carrick if they lose and that suddenly becomes more appealing for vacant managers
  10. He looks a league below this in my opinion
  11. They have a horrible run in (Leeds, Sheffield Utd, Burnley, Sunderland, West Brom, Boro, Norwich, QPR) 8 of the top 12 - 2 of which are themselves and us. But I agree, it would be nice if they fucked off and left a bit of a gap
  12. This PNE pitch is awful - sad indictment of the Football League
  13. Well I listed 3 games from 5 or 6 in Europe this season so not a one off. You implied Chorley would give them a game. Like I said, It wouldn’t even be a conversation if we were linked to some hipster manager in European leagues like Austria, Greece, Scandinavia.
  14. It’s L1/L2 level no need to be patronising. Shamrock Rovers for example held their own against top division teams in Europe (beat Molde, draws with Rapid Vienna and APOEL). Wouldn’t see similar comments for a manager in the Norwegian, Austrian or Greek top divisions. But I do agree with the rest of the post 👍
  15. He probably would. Won the league of Ireland last season and his next step feels like the Championship.
  16. I don’t want to curse the next person I put in there 😂
  17. Doesn’t usually end well when Rovers are odds on!
  18. This feels like an absolute massive match. Regardless of form, this is a team 2nd bottom of the league without a win away from home all season. A win for Rovers takes us to 51 points after 33 games, could potentially take us 4+ points clear, with a fairly tame schedule versus our opponents (only 3 of the top 7 to play) I’d be confident Rovers of old lose this match, and gift Plymouth fans their first away win - pray that these lads prove me wrong - I’ll start believing the top 6 is likely with a win today.
  19. Started at a much better place than where Derby are now and it still took Szmodics on the final day. Plymouth in form, Hull and Luton have better squads if they can get together. He took us over in 16th and 7 points clear.
  20. WBA 0-2 Rovers QPR 4-0 Derby Maybe Big John was holding us back 🤔
  21. How is that a cult? Just stated what happened. You are very contrary
  22. Not a huge difference in their L5-10-15 matches really, a lot of this is just variance, and christ JDT had a bench of Garrett, Telalovic, Markanday, Leonard, Weston, Hilton and Gamble for most of those matches. We had Ennis starting in some of them! Also worth noting, Eustace only picked up 6 points in his first 10 games. Everyone says 'we 100% would have got relegated under JDT', this early period under Eustace was just as bad.
  23. Yeah I have to agree, big difference between JDT and Eustace situations. JDT was public about the mess of the place and pointed the finger where nobody else dared. Eustace sang the merry dance and did it all behind our (and the players) backs. Also, whilst January was a shit window considering what we've recouped (£) in the last 2 years, it's worth noting JDT had the O'Brien fiasco, the Brierly fiasco and the Maguire fiasco - having 3 players in holding a scarf up but the plug to be pulled - a complete and utter shambles under the best manager we had since Venkys arrived.
