  1. I think looking at with our pessimistic Rovers head on we’d always think it’s more likely. Will be the same for all fans of clubs down there.
  2. Yeah, Ince only had 21 games in charge for us, but it was obviously the correct decision to pot him.
  3. Yeah. I've just worked out the permutations (albeit prices are subjective on the last game of the season as we don't know who has anything to play for) to show what % chance we'd get relegated if we get 1 more point to take us to 50. If we get 1 more point, it requires all the below to occur to relegate us (as Huddersfield and Rotherham will be unable to surpass us): Plymouth 2+ Points (50 points better GD) so either WW, WD, DW, WL, LW, DD (53% chance of 2 or more points) Birmingham 4+ Points (50 points better GD) so either WW, WD, DW (24% chance of 4 or more points) Wednesday 4+ Points (51 points) so either WW, WD, DW (30% chance of 4 or more points) QPR 1+ Point (51 points) so either WW, WD, DW, WL, LW, DD, DL, LD (72% chance of 1 or more point) Stoke 1+ Point (51 points) so either WW, WD, DW, WL, LW, DD, DL, LD (79% chance of 1 or more point) All of the above happening I made 45/1 as the true price, so around 2% chance of relegation if we pick up 1 more point If interested, I also worked out the above with Rovers getting 0 more points and I made that scenario 10/3 for us to be relegated i.e. if we get 0 more points then there is a 23% chance we'll be relegated.
  4. If we get 1 point it would also require Stoke and QPR picking up 1 point from their final two (QPR play Leeds and Coventry) as we all have the same GD. Individually, all possible or likely, however, for all of those things to happen it becomes quite a big probability.
  5. My guess is Birmingham and Wednesday both get to 50 points (Wednesday losing to WBA). We likely need 1 point to scrape it on GD, though Plymouth could easily lose both of theirs too.
  6. You'd drop Dom Hyam in a heartbeat Chaddy. Everyone in the world can see it bar yourself and Eustace. Should have had the rest of the season on the bench at HT in Bristol.
  7. 13 points from 14 games now under Eustace (average 43 points across the season and 2nd bottom). 2 points taken from 4 matches against Millwall, Plymouth, Wednesday and Birmingham (3 at home). He will have been our manager for 1/3 of a season, and it's highly likely that he'll only amass 13 points and 2 victories in that space of time across 16 games!
  8. Reading the above and looking at fixtures, I think we're sort of cheering on Hull for the rest of the season (as our useless lot can't be relied on getting another point). Hull play Coventry next, beating them would wipe Cov out of playoffs and maybe mean they're less interested against us. Hull play Plymouth last, we want them motivated to beat them away from home. Hull are chasing a spot from either West Brom or Norwich who play Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham respectively, we want them still needing wins for a playoff spot. So this weekend, outside of the obvious, it would also be nice if Swansea beat Norwich (to keep Norwich interested vs Birmingham) and Hull beat Ipswich (to keep Hull interested vs Plymouth)
  9. Jeez yeah I just assumed only Plymouth had a better GD than us, but we’re the same as Brum. That makes it a little more squeaky!!
  10. A lot is down to the fact that Huddersfield play Birmingham. They both cannot catch us, so there is only one spot left on that basis, with the likelihood that it goes to the other of those two. We basically want Huddersfield to win that, which means Birmingham can’t catch us and Huddersfield would have to beat Ipswich away (assuming we lose both). Draw is next best, Birmingham win and we lose to Cov and it’ll be a sweaty final weekend
  11. Coventry been going well since David Brent started topping his pension up at our place
  12. Gets away with harsh criticism because he’s behind Venkys, Suhail, Waggott, Silvestre in terms of competence, but still a joke that he holds such an important role at our club.
  13. Essentially it was nepotism, with the added bonus of playing for a club whose owners were stripping of any quality.
  14. Yeah true, perhaps I’m being generous and ‘academy bias’ there. I just really don’t want to be watching Pears, Wahlstedt, Brittain, Hyam, Buckley, Gallagher next season. They’re all so so so soft, and barely, if at all, Championship quality.
  15. If the Leeds and Wednesday results were reversed (lose to Leeds and win today) then we would be practically safe on 49 points. We don’t turn up when we need to because we’re spineless
  16. Outside of Carter, Wharton, JRC, Tronstad, Szmodics I wouldn’t care less if others left. And we’ll clearly cash in on Szmodics for under his value.
  17. 1, 3 and 4 almost certainly wouldn’t happen (well more wins than this season, but don’t think we’d do as well as expected)
  18. Jack Walker numbers sound low, do we know how many ST were sold in that stand?
  19. They'll be winning the attendance cup next year in league 1 too. Well done lads, population of half a million, 1 club to compete with and you're averaging almost 10k empty seats at home all season.
  20. Yep, unfortunately so with regards players paid more. It has to be a watch out though. We're going to be on TV an awful lot which is another reason for fans not to buy a season ticket, as if having the 4th most expensive (it was something like that) wasn't reason enough.
  21. From what I’ve read the 3pm slot remains blackout so there will only be 7 x 3pm Saturday matches so that means 10 championship clubs each week will NOT be playing in the traditional slot. Absolute madness. Worth around £2m extra a year per club? If it’s £60m seasonal uplift with 80% going to the championship (assuming it’s split 24 ways equally). Now, will Waggott take that money off his ticket prices? (Narrator: He won’t)
  22. Yeah Colin Murray was good, like you say it seemed he actually had an interest in it outside of the media darling clubs. Does anyone know what the new deal means to us financially?
  23. How on earth is Mowbray getting credit in that article 😂 he was atrocious at managing our young academy lads and regularly threw Raya and Nyambe under the bus and I seem to remember Travis only got called up when we had a huge injury list. Pretty sure Wharton never played a competitive match under him.
  24. Looking at that squad we need: Starting GK LB and RB - starters / squad to compliment Pickering and Brittain Starting CM for JRCs annual injury 2 x Starting Wingers Starting CAM after we sell Szmodics Starting Striker Thats at least half a team of starters needed, with squad players on top of that. Sell/Release: Wahlstedt, Buckley, Markanday, Vale. I’d also let Hyam and Travis go if we get offers (the club won’t do this though). Anyway in reality, the squad will just continue to get weaker and weaker and we’ll invest barely anything.
