  1. Only 2 more points needed in my opinion. With 5 games left, if we get to 48 it means Birmingham or Wednesday need 7 points from 5 so can only lose max 2 matches each. Thats not even taken account of the other 5 teams below us. Good point and we’re very close to being safe.
  2. Fans loving him on socials. If he was in a United shirt he’d have his call up already…..cough *Mainoo* cough Sort of proud, also just hits home that he should be in a Rovers shirt in the prem instead
  3. I have a sneaky feeling we'll get something from this. Saints are now in a 'playing for nothing' mentality until May, and if any other team could match us for a soft under-belly it's these guys. There is more on the line for us, so hopefully we play that way. Surprised to see that Rothwell, Smallbone, Sulemana and Walker-Peters were all on the bench on Monday for them. They would walk into most Championship teams. Rothwell in particular had a spell where he looked steady for Bournemouth in the Prem so i'm surprised to see he doesn't play much now.
  4. Leicester make £90m loss last year, and that includes both Fofana and Maddison transfers (as they extended the period of publishing results to include Maddison which sounds dodgy alone). They had the biggest wage bill outside of the ‘big 6’ and still got relegated. An average wage of £90k per week per player!! Based on what I read, even with promotion they’d have to find another £45m before June to avoid a points deduction in the prem, without promotion god knows what that number is but they’ll be in absolute free-fall. It’ll be tough cheering for Leeds, but Leicester really do not deserve promotion like this (I think Forest did similar and got up). Then again Leeds probably have similar accounts too. thread from the fans discussion if it’s if any interest to anyone https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/134474-accounts-2223/page/4/#comments
  5. Yep, fair play to them. Would love them to pip either Leeds or Leicester to a top 2 spot.
  6. He’s had a few in this thread in particular but yes he is player of the year in the “without Szmodics” market for me. Noticeable how shit we were vs Swansea, Millwall, Plymouth without him and how much improved we’ve been against Boro, Ipswich, Sunderland since he came back in.
  7. Have we actually recruited anyone in the last 3 windows? 😄 I just remember deadline day cock-ups
  8. Yeah I agree with that. I feared the worst after back to back home draws and shocking displays against Millwall and Plymouth. But we’ve much improved since then - personally I think it’s because we ditched the useless 5 at the back, but also maybe because we got Tronstad back, and then Hedges and JRC too
  9. 4-0 down and this clown is doing this 😂😂😂 he’s a shit Robbie Savage
  10. Drink it in lads and lasses. We’ve had some seriously shit days recently so let’s enjoy this for all we can. We’re safe and we’ll be heading to Burnley again next year Venkys Out
  11. Amazed how much space Szmodics had for both goals, both basically from the same blade of grass. Sunderland must well and truly be on the beach. We’ve certainly been the better team. Let’s hope it’s more of the same for the next 45
  12. He certainly is, keeping fit is his biggest issue unfortunately. But we always look a better team with him on the pitch
  13. Hold on and win this with a few other results going our way and we’re as good as safe!
  14. We really do miss JRC when he’s out injured. He’s a difference maker creativity wise.
  15. Who do you think our starting CBs will be with himself, Carter, Wharton and Hyam all fit? (Open for all)
  16. It is so depressing. At least the majority on here know the main (or complete) blame lies at the feet of our owners.
  17. Is there anyone else other than Exiled who still think we’ve actually stabilised since the change in manager? Almost identical points return and some horrendous football. At least the players have it cushty. Might get back to donuts and head tennis from the Coyle days. Pathetic from top to bottom and I’m sick of it.
  18. Despite your attempt to be witty, he was actually injured. Served his 1 match ban last match
  19. Poorly treated Scott Wharton trotting back onside in the final minute there when we’re slinging it in the box. Loser mentality and loser output
  20. Of course we’re desperate, we’re absolutely shocking
  21. Not sure if this in bold is sarcasm or not (contradicts the 2nd paragraph that I agree with)
  22. Win would leave us 6 points and a better GD clear of Brum, Wednesday and Huddersfield. Would require 2 of those 3 teams to turn a 3 game swing against us with just 7 remaining. I don’t think a win settles it now, but expect us to pick up a point or two from the final 7 games after.
  23. Good results for us. QPR late goal means we know its Brum to cheer against now Win today and we’re safe, but would be content with 1 point
  24. Best league finish since relegation and the closest we've come to Wembley in the FA Cup both last season.....so not a clue what Wharton is banging on about, it's worth noting some of his mistakes at the end of season could be good reason as to why we didn't make the playoffs in the end. As others have said, it's loser talk, laying blame at someone no longer around.
  25. Yeah, providing all are fit, there is about 6 or 7 of the 23 spots up for grabs, 16 nailed on if fit. 3rd choice keeper who will get 0 minutes 2 x CBs who will get 0 minutes (Branthwaite, Colwill, Guehi, Konsa, Gomez, Tomori, maybe Chilwell) 1 x CM between Gallagher and Henderson 3 x Attacker who may get a handful of minutes in final group match (Watkins, Toney, Bowen, Gordon, Palmer, Grealish) Pickford, Ramsdale, GK3 Walker, Trent, Shaw, Trippier, Maguire, Stones, CB1, CB2 Rice, Mainoo, Bellingham, Maddison, CM1 Kane, Saka, Foden, Rashford FW1, FW2, FW3 Maybe he opts for another Defender or Midfielder instead of the final Attacker, given Trent will be CM or nothing. Agree with the 11 (or 9) you listed too, providing all are fit, slow in Shaw LB and Trent alongside Rice and we have no excuses to not win the whole thing
