even before yesterday I was worried about this one. Arteta is class and Beattie will be looking forward to his return to Ewood. I can't see us getting a result and the gate, swelled by thieves, will be around 20k to 21k. -

could not bring myself to post after returning last night. This was about the worst performance in the last 5 seasons. If I were to give marks out of 10 then only two would make 5: Savage and Brad, and even Brad was inconsistent. We played the long ball game and only Brett, when he came on and ran at pompey, caused them problems. Bentley, Axe and Neill were appalling and as for Gamst he was nothing short of a music hall joke. we need to get the wheels back on for Everton on Weds but I dread the thought of Beattie against our defence...of course there is always next Sunday, will we have have defenders left to play against Chelski? All in all nothing short of a disgrace to those loyal blues who gave up good time and money to watch soft crap -

yep, the booing (about 30 people) only lasted for about 5 mins but must have been obvious to Neil. Nice way to encourage him to stay. Apert from that enjoyed the match although not too much in terms of stiff opposition but it was good to see some positive changes in tactics such as Neil to centre midfield and even benni playing very well in a deep postion for the final 30 mins. Very impressed with Bentley. -

Ozz, you are as logical as ever! however in my humble JW Upper seat near to the BBE the truth is that the Darwen End 85yards away are often far louder than the BBE...even the 750 odd fans from Pompey. Shoot the drummer and get a bell ringer. -

Why pay JW Centre prices? Most pay for the outer, slightly cheaper tickets, and move in. -

Paid for my 2 ST's in JW Upper for 2006/07. With 100 Club plus lounge, car parking etc costs good money but worth every penny for BRFC, I love my team!!!!! 3 mates have decided not to based on the attitude of " I will decide on a match-by-match basis", this is the same attitude as per the last few seasons and compounds our funding problems. Great Club and great fans at Rovers, but what do we do to capture the many honest fans to stay and to also capture the coporate buck. -
Sorry Abs but fron the JW Upper you couild see the BBE Upper was only 35% to 40% and the BBE Lower had big gaps at the lower corners. The JW was full at my end but empty nearer to the Darwen End as was the Riverside. But the performance should, I hope, enduce more to turn up.

doing what?

10k plus Mancs then. should keep the police busy.

fantastic just received a Corporate mailing from Rovers that arrived in the morning post that included a request to hire a box for TONIGHT!!! Whilst it is unlikely that I would for this game other business people receiving this would wonder at the clubs marketting stratergy. I must so however that the Club's glossy (which was also used pre season) is first class and deserves credit.

Celtic do a rolling ST. The Chief Exec writes to the fan each year (one page letter, thus saving massive brochure printing costs) saying what the fee is and only contact us if you want to change or cancel. SIMPLE and CHEAP.

I strongly support the quote about the JW and the AB's. I go in the JW, I like it, great view, and I don't have to worry about the cost. It used to be full of better-off folk who would often bring large family groups. many are middle age professionals, solicitors architects etc but in the last 2 to 3 years have stopped coming and have subsequently been attracted elsewhere such as golf; this is a fact and I know a great many who have just stopped altogether after years and years of watching the Blues. I realise that we have to focus on the schools and kids etc but we must not forget those who have disposable income who will spend good money on the Rovers. It is this group that will probably be interested in a match bundle type ticket where they pay for say 10 or 12 matches per season. I expect this post may be a little controversial but we also need to focus at the higher value fans. Just look at the empty Exec Boxes every week to see where we also have major problems.

I've a guy who works for me in my Liverpool office who is a PNE ST Holder. I'll share the document with him today to get a different perspective and maybe pick up some additional ideas.

Philip is right about the JJB tonight. Radio 5 report on an expected sub 11,000 gate at Wigan v Arsenal. My main concern is how many Mancs we will ahve in the home sections on Weds night. I realise that the Club try hard to stop this but I hope that we do not have a problem.

Thanks for the positive comments so far. BRISA are also of the view that we Press Release the document after the meeting with John and Tom. Please keep the comments flowing and thanks inparticular to Scotty for his work on this.

The FS had the most in I have seen all season at about 50 to 60%. The JW upper where I was was its usual empty state apatrt from the BBE Wing. The key thing is getting more on; with our recent entertaining displays and fantastic goals we should be attracting more. The forthcoming BRISA meeting with JW and TF should be be fruitful.
