  1. @chaddyrovers It’s not that deep. Maddison is better than Mount at football and has been since they’ve both been around. Even a blind man on a galloping horse can see that. Compare their numbers season upon season and it’s embarrassing for those that want to defend Mount tbh.
  2. Could have had Maddison for £20 Million less. Yet some know nowts (and Southgate until recently) would rather have had Mount). It’s a funny old game.
  3. Our set pieces are as bad as I can ever remember them being. We seemingly never put crosses in, either. The amount of times we get into good positions and go for a short pass. So frustrating. (The not crossing it thing precedes JDT though, in his defence).
  4. Ashamed to say it, but I’m kind of hoping Swansea score, so I can clear off. It’s the hope that gets you.
  5. I will admit that Swansea have been superior to us in every department today, but, that’s largely due to how poor we’ve been. Terrible from us today.
  6. Really poor performance. So toothless in attack. Abysmal referee, to boot.
  7. Not convinced on their second offside goal. Thought it looked on. Not sure what Carter was up to, either. Good finish for their goal, though. Need to find some rhythm here, we’ve huffed and puffed without really having a chance, bar that one in the first minute.
  8. They mustn’t fancy India this time of year. They’ve been absolute shambles this series.
  9. Seems a bit harsh, when he hasn’t made anywhere near the same amount of appearances. Granted, he has made mistakes, that’s undeniable.
  10. He sets the tone for the rest of the team with how hard he works. He plays with all the enthusiasm of a fan, but thankfully with a lot more quality. Big fan of this guy!
  11. Tbh, I think with anything, you get what you pay for. I’ll bet the quality isn’t very high.
  12. In all fairness, £4 for a pulled pork burger is suspiciously cheap. I wouldn’t want to eat anything at that price.
  13. The bottom 5 in the PL this year seem to be a fair bit worse than the rest. Having said that, the GD of the bottom three is already quite bad. Quite a few of them have spent a fair amount of money, too. Goes to show how inflated transfer fees have become…
  14. Like the ideas, but I think you’d be looking at least double the prices you quoted for any of those.
  15. Wouldn’t have hurt him to catch it, I thought. Guess it’s the modern way!
  16. Well yeah, obviously. It’s the kind of thing that should be played out behind closed doors, from both sides.
  17. Another club owner that doesn’t take criticism well. A prime example of the internet giving everyone a voice, not necessarily being a good thing. (Apart from for entertainment value, obviously).
  18. Rugby World Cup chat moved to existing thread in ICBINF, here:
  19. Very happy with the ‘keeper on the whole yesterday, bar that punch at the death! Tronstadt and Hill also the stand outs for me.
  20. Watched the highlights this morning and was surprised just how bad the defending was for one of the goals. A pass without much pace on it at all crept across the box for a tap in at the back post. The other two goals, fair enough, they were hit very well. I know their manager has a lot of credit in the bank, but I do wonder if their owner will start to panic….
  21. One I’ll raise at next Fans Forum, but one of the bars was shut in the JW Upper today for some reason. Just added to the general queuing we’ve come to expect…
  22. Funny thing is, Sterling has been playing way better than Rashford this season as well. Southgate’s pretty stubborn on the sly. I think when he’s questioned, he digs his heels in even harder.
  23. I think it’s a perfectly legitimate thing to question, when the likes of Maguire and Phillips are being picked for England, when they aren’t for their clubs. It’s not like they’re the only show in town, either. Plenty of other players are playing more regularly and better than the above. It’s absolutely closer to favouritism than a meritocracy. My worry with Southgate has always been that he is too cautious.
