  1. The Smiths- William, it was really nothing
  2. Fundamentally, the first part is true, but I've got my doubts that any locally based journalists are on the radio elsewhere putting their key players in the shop window in the same way as our Alan is...... Nixon is such an embittered goon, where we are concerned.
  3. I’ve asked the other mods how to do it as honestly, I don’t know how! If I merge the threads, it does them in time order, so yours won’t be at the front...
  4. That’s my fault mate, I’ve totally cocked it up and merged them the wrong way around.... I’ll copy and paste yours to the front. Sorry again!
  5. I think the talk of a six year deal is a bit OTT. He's done a good job on the whole, but he's not Sir Alex Ferguson! Things can change very quickly in football.
  6. I'm big enough to admit that I wasn't that impressed by his appointment after his most recent previous jobs, but he's surpassed my expectations and not only has he got me loving my football again, but he's got players that are loving being here and a team that we can be proud of. We've got players in the team that we love, instead of a lot of mercenaries like Leon Best, Bradley Orr and others. He deserves immense credit for instilling that identity and mentality back into the club and long may that continue.
  7. Dub Pistols- Give a Little dub
  8. Delighted with the win yesterday, always nice to beat those whoppers! With that being said, I can’t fathom why we bricked it at 1-0 up, sat back and defended for the rest of the game. They were a poor side, a really poor side tbh.
  9. Need to push out and stop sitting so deep here. Amazing save from Raya there!
  10. £100 though? It’s not a farewell tour!
  11. I’ll be honest, that’s a good team selection!
  12. Chaddy lad, you can’t just ask people why they question things and try and shut down debate, you’re not Skepta...
  13. Beastie Boys- Get it together
  14. I saw the other day it was over £100 to watch Metallica who are way past their best and that's bad enough, but over £200! Christ alive!
  15. Guarantee they'll change their tune if he gets them promoted. For a club that desperately want out of the second tier, why on earth their fans would turn their noses up at a manager with a proven track record of promotions from this division is beyond me! They've got an absolutely massive fan base, to be fair. I know it's points and not attendances that win prizes, but still.
  16. Jimi Hendrix- (Have you ever been to) Electric Ladyland
  17. The Stone Roses- Elizabeth My Dear
  18. Well that's me told! :-) I'd forgotten about pre-season, I didn't manage to get to any matches unfortunately.
  19. I was hoping we'd gone beyond the days of carrot dangling......
  20. He's had absolutely zero game time of any sort since arriving here as far as I can recall..... This was from a couple of weeks ago- https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/september/davenport-edging-closer-to-return/
  21. Absolutely no chance we’re keeping a clean sheet, lad...
  22. Arrested Development- Mr Wendal
  23. As I've seen a few posts relating to this in the match thread, rather than taking that too much off topic, I thought the subject deserved its own thread (even if it is a little late as the season is well underway)..... Personally, whilst fundamentally, there isn't much to fear in this division, I think any talk of promotion THIS SEASON is unrealistic. While I'd hope that would be the ultimate goal for the club, to be honest, with the squad we have, I think a mid table finish would be about par for the course this term. Mostly because, at the bottom of the table there are some poor sides that already look like they could potentially be getting cut adrift. Anyhow, I'd be interested to hear everyone else's views on the subject!
  24. I suppose they were more general points that I perhaps wasn't clear enough on. But fundamentally, as a club at the moment: If we are spending £7 Million on a player, I'd expect them to be starting every week. (Under normal circumstances, I get that there may be fitness issues and he needs to get up to speed etc). Graham isn't one from last season I think we should be dropping right now, he's someone I'm a big fan of and have been since he's been at the club. I do believe TM is too cautious and this shows in the displays of some of the players sometimes.
