  1. Guarantee they'll change their tune if he gets them promoted. For a club that desperately want out of the second tier, why on earth their fans would turn their noses up at a manager with a proven track record of promotions from this division is beyond me! They've got an absolutely massive fan base, to be fair. I know it's points and not attendances that win prizes, but still.
  2. Jimi Hendrix- (Have you ever been to) Electric Ladyland
  3. The Stone Roses- Elizabeth My Dear
  4. Well that's me told! :-) I'd forgotten about pre-season, I didn't manage to get to any matches unfortunately.
  5. I was hoping we'd gone beyond the days of carrot dangling......
  6. He's had absolutely zero game time of any sort since arriving here as far as I can recall..... This was from a couple of weeks ago- https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/september/davenport-edging-closer-to-return/
  7. Absolutely no chance we’re keeping a clean sheet, lad...
  8. Arrested Development- Mr Wendal
  9. As I've seen a few posts relating to this in the match thread, rather than taking that too much off topic, I thought the subject deserved its own thread (even if it is a little late as the season is well underway)..... Personally, whilst fundamentally, there isn't much to fear in this division, I think any talk of promotion THIS SEASON is unrealistic. While I'd hope that would be the ultimate goal for the club, to be honest, with the squad we have, I think a mid table finish would be about par for the course this term. Mostly because, at the bottom of the table there are some poor sides that already look like they could potentially be getting cut adrift. Anyhow, I'd be interested to hear everyone else's views on the subject!
  10. I suppose they were more general points that I perhaps wasn't clear enough on. But fundamentally, as a club at the moment: If we are spending £7 Million on a player, I'd expect them to be starting every week. (Under normal circumstances, I get that there may be fitness issues and he needs to get up to speed etc). Graham isn't one from last season I think we should be dropping right now, he's someone I'm a big fan of and have been since he's been at the club. I do believe TM is too cautious and this shows in the displays of some of the players sometimes.
  11. Have you watched Joe Nuttall? It seems to me, that TM is being too loyal to the team from last season in general (which fundamentally is fine as they helped get us here). I think it was Revidge Blue that said it in the match thread (apologies if not), but BRFC 2018, if we are spending £7 Million on a player, they need a good run of games and it probably isn't helping his confidence just giving him cameos.... Problem is, TM is too cautious by nature, which sometimes is fine, but we need to let the lads off the leash sometimes. You see it with how conservative our full backs are. How much do they brick it when they get into the final third?
  12. I don't think anyone can deny our line ups at home need to be more adventurous. I know TM likes his cosy 2.5 attackers, but things do need to change a bit. Rothwell and Palmer in the next game, please.
  13. The searches were obviously incredibly effective. A firework or smoke bomb definitely didn't go bang in the away end after about 30 seconds of the game.....
  14. Lowe is bound to score a banger and have a blinder. Think Palmer needs to come back into the side and Rothwell needs to stay in it instead of looking like a boss from the bench then not starting the next match...
  15. We badly need a response to tonight’s poor showing on Saturday. I’m not going and I’ve been something of a bad luck charm with only one win from seven visits! COYB!
  16. Re some of the comments, we are a newly promoted side and the side we are playing, last season set the standard for newly promoted sides. That’s what we should be aiming for. Don’t think we will go down, or overly struggle this season, but we’ve really not been good tonight.
  17. Absolutely outclassed this second half.
  18. Arrogant bastards! The size of their catchment area in comparison to most!
  19. If they end up promoted, I’m sure they’ll accept it!
  20. Hmmm, I wouldn't be so sure of that on either count. The concerns I've seen from their fans after a quick scan at their messageboard seem to be with the team selection and style of play, I didn't see a single mention of his BCFC past. Similarly with Coyle for us, to be fair. If he'd won games and been a competent manager, his past employment down the wrong end of the M65 would have been forgotten. I'm sure any of us would accept Dyche or Howe with open arms if we ever needed a new manager, wouldn't we?
  21. The same Steve Bruce that's achieved promotion from The Championship four times as a manager?
  22. Cut Copy- Hearts on fire
  23. There were some funny comments on the Villa message board in relation to him being a salad dodger and that they should have thrown processed meats at him instead! I'm not sure if it usurps a live chicken being smuggled into Ewood, as to be fair, there is a Tesco very close to Villa Park.....
  24. What kind of whopper takes a cabbage to the footy?
  25. Two Door Cinema Club- I can talk
