  1. The four eyed drummer sat in front of me at Pompy an after the first half I told him to move or wear the drum between the cheeks of his anal region. He moved, god that lad must love his drum
  2. reported joint consortium valued at 100 million makes it a big one IMo
  3. Sounds like ajoint bid will oust Big deadly Doug, they will be worth millions like pompy tho noone will want to join them !
  4. take em to Yorkshire, I listed the sights on yorkshire day
  5. There is nothing anti amercian about me you two yankee members. I have stood toe to toe with the yanks on many occasions, worked very closely with them and laughed and joked with them. I just have an opinion that you two dont agree with. Simple really ! As for macdonalds making me fat, no its the 10 pints a night syndrome that got me
  6. Speedie Wembley is a money issue caused by soime clown giving a contract to an Australian firm. Sven simply was mistaken if he ever thought he could win the World Cup with the squad he picked and TFFT he didnt take over at Ewood. USA v England ? only one winner and aint the Yankee football wannabees. Yes we had a poor World Cup but not half as bad as the USA. The remark wasnt a dig more of an observation. Big fat Bruce doesnt know what he is doing like the people in the background of the USA football system. And in any case, back over here, I would rather have our failures than Americas
  7. That part of the post sums up the state of American Football at this present time.
  8. Jason is currently on a course to finish his coaching badges and he will then move to Leicester City as a coach. Nathan Blake is currently on trial at Stoke although he picked up a hamstring injury recently and missed 2 pre season matches. Ashley is property developer on 'tmoors Sherwood has just pioneered a new magazine for professional eyes only along with Gary Flitcroft, it specialises in high quality gear and is not available to the general public.
  9. The altest installment of claret humour 1959/60 Series - Game Fourteen Blackburn Rovers v Burnley Saturday 17th October 1959 Well here we are, the match every Rovers and Clarets supporter looks forward to. It's the BIG ONE the first encounter of the season against local rivals Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. Referee: Mr.N.N.Hough (Macclesfield) Linesmen: Mr. W. E. Haynes and MR. G. Stevenson. Crowd: 33,316 Teams Blackburn: Leyland, Bray, Pickering, Smith, Woods, McGrath, Douglas, Dobing, Dougan, Vernon, McLeod. Burnley: Blacklaw, Angus, Elder, Adamson, Seith, Miller, Pilkington, McIlroy, Pointer, White, Harris. Burnley were going into this game just one point and one place above Rovers, so the Clarets fans were hoping beyond hope that their heroes could pull this one out of the bag and stay ahead of their rivals, but it was not to be, as Rovers picked up both points and became the second team in as many games to put one over on their near neighbours. It is mid October and the stand pipes are still prominent on the streets of Burnley as the long drought continues. Due to England playing a full International at Cardiff this afternoon, both teams will be without key players, Ronnie Clayton for Rovers who today is having his first game as captain of his country and John Connelly who is making his England debut. 10. I can tell you that a lot of fans hav emoved into the JW Upper this time as there are not many seats available together in block 11 or 12, especially towrds the centre. Can the drummer boys not realise what they have done ? My personal suggestion is that they bugger off to the Walkersteel side and raise the dead
  11. now then Ozz after all the work I have done for you as well ! we could talk about Olive and the French classes lol
  12. there is a report about stating Bruce will get 10m to spend as a result of ht elatest sales at st andrews. I wonder who wil go there for championship football ? Its a very strong league this year and i dont think brum will feature top 6
  13. just so typical of Rovers the ending of a good week on a bad note
  14. the drummer has won finally moved to the upper tier of the Sir Jack Walker Stand. It was a real wrench to leave my seat in the Lower Blackburn End but there are a number of reasons as well as the drummeer(s). Nobs who repeatedly berate the team Nobs who repeatedly moan about the beer Nobs who repeatedly moan about the weird and wonderful smells coming from Jordans area ! Nobs who are the drummer(s) Nob of a lad who repeatedly manages to purchase the seat next to where we sat and then comes in half cut, cant stand, cant sing in fact the only thing he does is wind everyone up includign the kids Nob of a match leader in the steward department the three Nobs from Intack who sit in front of us who between them have less than 5 years service who claim to have seen every football match since time began. So there you have it, my mates and I have flitted upstairs to sit with the Gentry. I just hope there are not too many Nobs sitting around us up there
  15. I was in Rubery last night, that is near Bournville in the midlands. Whilst having a lovely chinese meal, I spoke to the original fatboy Mickey Quinn. Just a quick hello led to a few more exchanges of conversation about football. I had bumped into him in Germany whilst he was with the talksport team. He was telling me about J Pennant going to Liverpool which I found out was true on arriving home in the early hours. he also mentioned there were other departures on the cards from Brum due to a major fall out between Bruce and some of the senior players. I mentioned DD and he indicated that he may be next on the exit bus, he didnt indicate where to or which vlubs may be looking at him but he has just been fined 2 weeks wages for internal disciplinary problems. Am I right in saying someone on here said he may be a Christmas signing ?
  16. Duff went to Newcastle simply out of bad advising and poor management. its as simple as that, how can a player who has just won a few Premiership medals and a few cups suddenyl give all that up and fo and play for a medicore yes MEDIOCRE team like Newcastle ? Newcastle have a great manager ? Newcastle have a great chairman ? What planet is this young Irish lad on ? These are not the words of the "Duffer" I spoke to when he was signing for Chelsea. Just what ambition Newcastle have now that "god" has long gone remains to be seen. For me they are among the relegation favourites. They must have a massive backer financing them as they need to spend at least another $20m on strikers to have any chance of European glory or domestic honours. I feel that he has been led down that garden path so lovingly tendered by fat freddy and his brothel haunting friends. What a sad ending for a pure footballing prodigy or should that be fickle THICKHEAD
  17. kenyon is now on record saying the Chelsea will try and allow 3 players out on loan for the season whislt bringing 2 new signings in. Del Horno is off, Duff likewise. Others could be Geremi, Huth and SWP. inbound, Carlos and Cole = total #19M should appear on skysports news after 10pm BRover Premiership rules business rules both have rules, you just cannot write of that amount of debt in one foul swoop, there are issues such as money laundering to consider, not to mention numerous false acounting, over inflated figures, dodgy payments et al. The Chelsea PLC or whatever they are will be severely scrutinised and puncished if they did that. the only real way, and please feel free to elaborate more if you know the real answef, is to raise moeny through either selling the club or share issues. I am pretty certain you just cannot write off that amount of debt by simply paying in a lump sum from sugar daddy. Premiership rules will almost certainly have an impact.
  18. not exactly transfer madness but relates to chelsea they are about to produce their accounts for auditors as part of the investigation into RA financial activity - to show and disprove any irregularities and have managed somehow to compel a judiciary to stop the full results being made public. In other words someone may have taken a vey big pay off ! it would seem that at this present time some 450 MILLION POUNDS has been through the chelsea financial doors and that their accounts stand currently at a loss of around 195 MILLION POUNDS, all this before their full accounts in November. They are hoping that with the new sponsors, a champions league win and massive corporate sponsorship will go a long way to negating their debt. Now then for the life of me I can not equate how winning everything for the next 4 years will allow them to overturn that much debt due to the exhorborant wages they are currently paying. Cash turnover is currently in a negative bracket against wages paid ! so much for the 65% turnover/ratio against income
  19. They have let go Sutton/Melchiot/Lazaridis/Anderton/Vaesen/Kuqi/Clapham/Butt and Cunningham. Izzet has retired. They have also released several reserve team players. They have sold Heskey. They have bought Jerome and the right back from Spuds. Thats a fair turnover of staff. They are linked with a 3m move for Collins John, the sale of emille will fund that. On average relegation will have cost them 15-20m. They will receive a parachute payment for going down but at the very least they will HAVE to get back up first time of asking. I cannot see brum surviving another season in the Championship and with the likes of Leeds/Sunderland/WBA/Ipswich/Preston/Palace/Leicester/Hull/Stoke/Norwich/Wolves/Coventry/Southampton and Derby it is not going tobe easy getting back. I dont think we will see them top flight for a few years at best.
  20. it sll depends on what strain of STI you have picked up on yr blow out in good old Amsterdam ??
  21. its all in the last line Swish ! "second to none"
