  1. there is a report about stating Bruce will get 10m to spend as a result of ht elatest sales at st andrews. I wonder who wil go there for championship football ? Its a very strong league this year and i dont think brum will feature top 6
  2. just so typical of Rovers the ending of a good week on a bad note
  3. the drummer has won finally moved to the upper tier of the Sir Jack Walker Stand. It was a real wrench to leave my seat in the Lower Blackburn End but there are a number of reasons as well as the drummeer(s). Nobs who repeatedly berate the team Nobs who repeatedly moan about the beer Nobs who repeatedly moan about the weird and wonderful smells coming from Jordans area ! Nobs who are the drummer(s) Nob of a lad who repeatedly manages to purchase the seat next to where we sat and then comes in half cut, cant stand, cant sing in fact the only thing he does is wind everyone up includign the kids Nob of a match leader in the steward department the three Nobs from Intack who sit in front of us who between them have less than 5 years service who claim to have seen every football match since time began. So there you have it, my mates and I have flitted upstairs to sit with the Gentry. I just hope there are not too many Nobs sitting around us up there
  4. I was in Rubery last night, that is near Bournville in the midlands. Whilst having a lovely chinese meal, I spoke to the original fatboy Mickey Quinn. Just a quick hello led to a few more exchanges of conversation about football. I had bumped into him in Germany whilst he was with the talksport team. He was telling me about J Pennant going to Liverpool which I found out was true on arriving home in the early hours. he also mentioned there were other departures on the cards from Brum due to a major fall out between Bruce and some of the senior players. I mentioned DD and he indicated that he may be next on the exit bus, he didnt indicate where to or which vlubs may be looking at him but he has just been fined 2 weeks wages for internal disciplinary problems. Am I right in saying someone on here said he may be a Christmas signing ?
  5. Duff went to Newcastle simply out of bad advising and poor management. its as simple as that, how can a player who has just won a few Premiership medals and a few cups suddenyl give all that up and fo and play for a medicore yes MEDIOCRE team like Newcastle ? Newcastle have a great manager ? Newcastle have a great chairman ? What planet is this young Irish lad on ? These are not the words of the "Duffer" I spoke to when he was signing for Chelsea. Just what ambition Newcastle have now that "god" has long gone remains to be seen. For me they are among the relegation favourites. They must have a massive backer financing them as they need to spend at least another $20m on strikers to have any chance of European glory or domestic honours. I feel that he has been led down that garden path so lovingly tendered by fat freddy and his brothel haunting friends. What a sad ending for a pure footballing prodigy or should that be fickle THICKHEAD
  6. kenyon is now on record saying the Chelsea will try and allow 3 players out on loan for the season whislt bringing 2 new signings in. Del Horno is off, Duff likewise. Others could be Geremi, Huth and SWP. inbound, Carlos and Cole = total #19M should appear on skysports news after 10pm BRover Premiership rules business rules both have rules, you just cannot write of that amount of debt in one foul swoop, there are issues such as money laundering to consider, not to mention numerous false acounting, over inflated figures, dodgy payments et al. The Chelsea PLC or whatever they are will be severely scrutinised and puncished if they did that. the only real way, and please feel free to elaborate more if you know the real answef, is to raise moeny through either selling the club or share issues. I am pretty certain you just cannot write off that amount of debt by simply paying in a lump sum from sugar daddy. Premiership rules will almost certainly have an impact.
  7. not exactly transfer madness but relates to chelsea they are about to produce their accounts for auditors as part of the investigation into RA financial activity - to show and disprove any irregularities and have managed somehow to compel a judiciary to stop the full results being made public. In other words someone may have taken a vey big pay off ! it would seem that at this present time some 450 MILLION POUNDS has been through the chelsea financial doors and that their accounts stand currently at a loss of around 195 MILLION POUNDS, all this before their full accounts in November. They are hoping that with the new sponsors, a champions league win and massive corporate sponsorship will go a long way to negating their debt. Now then for the life of me I can not equate how winning everything for the next 4 years will allow them to overturn that much debt due to the exhorborant wages they are currently paying. Cash turnover is currently in a negative bracket against wages paid ! so much for the 65% turnover/ratio against income
  8. They have let go Sutton/Melchiot/Lazaridis/Anderton/Vaesen/Kuqi/Clapham/Butt and Cunningham. Izzet has retired. They have also released several reserve team players. They have sold Heskey. They have bought Jerome and the right back from Spuds. Thats a fair turnover of staff. They are linked with a 3m move for Collins John, the sale of emille will fund that. On average relegation will have cost them 15-20m. They will receive a parachute payment for going down but at the very least they will HAVE to get back up first time of asking. I cannot see brum surviving another season in the Championship and with the likes of Leeds/Sunderland/WBA/Ipswich/Preston/Palace/Leicester/Hull/Stoke/Norwich/Wolves/Coventry/Southampton and Derby it is not going tobe easy getting back. I dont think we will see them top flight for a few years at best.
  9. it sll depends on what strain of STI you have picked up on yr blow out in good old Amsterdam ??
  10. its all in the last line Swish ! "second to none"
  11. so yr an ex Sailor Fife Rover ? An exclusive club, served my time for Queen and Country mainly in the darklands of Rosyth !!! The women of Inverkeithing and Dunfermline ? Second to NONE
  12. brum news reporting Kenna offered a pay as you play deal for 3 months
  13. yes he is replacing heskey the dollop with bruno n'gotty anf jeff kenna ! top transfers
  14. jarosik now plays for celtic !
  15. there is a word........ B O T T L E Our English superstars didnt have it hows that for #80k a week and the rest
  16. Waggy you were not alone I am aware that about 15 supporters suffered the same scenario. I know tht whilst I was outside the stadium 2 fans were arrested after @abusing@ the ticket staff, they were later charged and kept in overnight, both came back to the Uk with me and were rightly annoyed. There is apparently a system in place for compensation so I suggest you contact fifa helpline. Did anyone who had the pleasure of being out there notice exactly how many empty corporate seats wee available ? I am aware one of the German banks had 50 tickets a game (every game that is) and tht they very rarely used them. Now thats annoying.
  17. what a crock of crud Rovers will complete another striker deal later today or tomorrow THE BIG DEAL WILL SHORTLY FOLLOW NOW THE TRANSFER WINDOW IS OPEN
  18. give the wee lad a chance. JHC soem of you are beyond belief. The pre season is just about to start so give him bit of leeway. Alright he aint gonna set the pulses racing but we dont yet know just what is around the corner. He may just yet discover how to score goals at the top level and BRFC may just b the spark needed to help him. The next 20 days or so will no doubt see BRFC mould a squad together as we start the season and forage into European competition. What e need is belief NOT idiots gobbing about how sad it is that we aint signed so and so. we are all on a downer oafter our World Cup Exit, get over it and put your thoughts back to BRFC. 56 days and counting
  19. Froma birds eye working point of view i can offer the follow information. The English fans have been the best behaved out of the supporters present in Germany. I have been involved heavily in the operation to monitor supporters and can vouch that the arreests per country is highly dominated by the Germans, the Dutch and the Polish supporters. Yes the England supports have been drunk and had their sing songs. yes some of the and it is a very few number wise that have issued the anti nazi songs and yes there have been some right furking idiots. The arrests of 300 supporters was simply a preventative matter which the local Police failed to obtain a detention order as NOT ONE of those supporters had any tickets to any game. As I have said, I have watched and observed first hand the behaviour of the fans attending. I have been int he England camp and I have moved around Germany where the English appear everywhere. 99% of them are enjoying themselves to the full. There have been over 5400 arrests so far. In total, approximately 300 have been charged with a variety of offences ranging from fighting, sexual assault, theft and forgery offences not too mention drunkeness related offences. To date 260 England fans have been deported, I returned home with 28 the other day. All those that have been deported have all been issued with Football banning orders that will run for 3 years. There are NO Blackburn fans involved as far as I am aware. in the main they are southerners/brummies and the odd northerner. So there you are, an up to date view from someone involved in the operation itself
  20. Wheelton Blues were onboard Ozz, none injured only pride. I remember Paul Astley very well a top bloke. I wonder if he remembers when the coach from Chorley to Shrewsbury broke down and I jumped in the drivers seat whilst they all had their heads under the front end and I turned the ignition key ? Got a pasting for my troubles but eventually we got the game at half time !!!
  21. Have been to a meeting for pre world cup fan security today and wow are England fans in for a surprise. Friends and fellow Roves supporters BEWARE. The message is very clear England fans unruly behaviour will not be tolerated. if you are drunk and found by Police or security staff you will be deported after 24 hrs in a cell if you fight and get arrested you will be deported after 36 hours in a cell a court appearance and a fine if you are arrested for any serious offences you go straight to gaol, a trial will be held the same week and if found guilty you will be imprisoned then deported if you have forged tickets then it is a straight 2yr sentence in gaol if you have tickets that are found to be black market issue, you will be fined $2000 (euro) and deported UNLESS you testify against the seller ! Any supporter found to be fighting with Police or security staff will be instantly gaoled for 18 months - no fines or petty treatment if you SELL a ticket as a tout and are arrested - 18 months gaol any supporter arrested on public transport inc plane, bus or boat will be detained at the pleasure of the local governer and subjected to trial or deportation the briefing kind of centred on the English and Dutch, nomention of the Italian troublemakers or other countries. I got quite irate when I questionned the rationale of just how good true English supporters were to be responded by "English are all the same". The local commander was taken aback when I uttered the fact that we were voted the best supporters in Japan and the best overall and that his views were stereotypical of a country where they had more than their own fair share of problems to be quickly gagged by a southern based governor ! Yes the basic message they sent out despite the over the top media frenzy is that if your English and misbehave or even enjoy yourself a little too much then beware
  22. surprised this one hasnt surfaced after some time. The night Matt Jansen headed us back into the big time. Me and my mates and family had access to 9 PNE season tickets in their family stand as they had just gone on holiday to Turkey earlier that day. So we are in the stand and me mand my mate under orders not to jump around or cause any aggravation. Suddenly Rovers score in teh first half but alas its disallowed, I didnt notice as me and my mate danced with glee under the gaze of numpty ###### pne nobbenders who were a little miffed Rovers supporters had infiltrated @their@ end. The first half flew by as I cosntantly had to give the verbals back to nobbenders and to defelct any attention to the wife and daughter who were sitting close by. Half time see the entrance of the Old Bill, mates of mine. A swift exit follows as me and my pal are escorted around the pitch and deposited in the Rovers end in what is the tattiest little stand ever. A series of texts follow from the wife, all remained unanswered. The second half begins with Rovers again the better team until Sir Matt send the ball goalwards and the net bulges. 1-0 Rovers rejoice in the blue and white shirt. The rest of the game is a blur, the only thing that I really remember is the chance right at the end when nobbend nearly scored. Final whistle was fantastic. 2000 Rovers fans erupt, the nobbenders go home deflated whilst we are left to celebrate. Flitty, Matt, Shorty and co join in, Dunny and Duff as well as Souey are ecstatic. I managed to grab a tshirt off Dunny as I went for his shirt ! We had landed back in the big time and it was a fantastic feeling. Outside on deepdale Juniors school car park, a nobbender thinks its funny to accost my wife as she give me abuse for leaving them all stranded, he spits on the shirt and before he realises what it is he did a quick crack sent him flying through the windscreen of his car. Never have I seen a 5t2 bird deck a 19 stone fella with one foul swoop of a right hand So back to Leyland and the club was full of nobbenders sadly and glumly supping their pints whilst I walked in and ordered my bottle of champers which the wife had stashed in the fridge in readines for my celebration. What a night
