What mark out of 10 would you give Waggott and Gestede for their management of this window? To help you, I'll give you my mark based upon what's happened so far in 30 odd days with just 12 hours or so to go. And my mark is 1 out of 10. IMO, a p1ss poor performance and I would put money on even you doing better.

An immense battle for the play-offs with all clubs down to 13th placed Millwall in with a shout. Some are giving their prospects a 'real go' whilst we seem to be p1ssing about on the periphery. IMO, yet another great play-off chance set to be blown by both our highly incompetent owners and management. The resultant I think will be the almost certain loss of Eustace this summer, if not before.

This screams a home banker and a great opportunity to top up your Christmas kitty with a Rovers' win at 3/4. Perspective - Pompey 23rd in table, most goals conceded in Championship. Rovers to win by at least 2 clear goals. When we play Pompey at Ewood, two games from the memory bank come flooding back. FA Cup 3rd round win at Ewood back in 1969 with a Malcolm Darling hat trick which landed us a home tie against Mercer / Alison's Man City. Delirium on the BE that day. Then there was the 'infamous' Jimmy Hill match some 15 years later which we lost 1-0 against Alan Ball's Pompey - how Jim Brannigan didn't get arrested for gbh, let alone finish the match is beyond me and the running battle between 'Killer' Keeley and the Pompey c/f (can't recall his name) with both dismissed for an early bath. When men were men - Travis is a teddy bear!

Think there's little doubt that of those involved in Rovers' player recruitment, Park by far had the widest range of contacts and player knowledge. Looks another classic piece of Rovers' mismangement. Rovers still floundering and looking a million miles away from a club with a credible plan.

Rovers don't seem to be able to handle the 3 games in 8 days' cycle. A long journey to Cardiff in Waggott's glorified charabanc wont help either. Offensively we are impotent and it's difficult to see us scoring let alone netting more than one goal. We are struggling big time and in 'freefall' and are now just 4 points away from the bottom 3 - let that sink in. We are in another relegation fight. Cardiff by at least 2 goals but even a fourth consecutive loss wont deter the 'happy clappers' and their plethora of hard luck stories and blue sky scenarios.

Didn't say he was. My point is Johansson showed the value of having a very, very good goalie between the sticks. Pears is not and has cost us time and time again just as he did last Saturday when he parried the shot straight back to a SU player for their 2nd goal - how many times have we seen that happen!? Good goalies push their saves as far wide as possible and not straight back into the danger zone.

Tonight has underlined the value of a very good goalie. Pears is a liability, always has been always will. Cost us our second goal on Sauturday by saving and pushing the ball directly in front of him - contrast to how Stoke's keeper deals with such saves and pushes the ball to the sides. The time for Toth is overdue.

I like football, however, sadly, watching Rovers is not enjoyable. We are a very hard watch even when in the comfort of your own home with your feet up and a nice drink.

You simply have to score after a relatively decent first half like that. Cantwell again our lone quality offensive threat though Ohashi looking more lively. Again, Hedges anonymous with Weimann not too far behind in the anonymity stakes. Hope I'm wrong but game has a familiar tone - 1-0 Stoke through a set piece.

Dolan is a legend in his own mind - the little upstart thought he could replace Sammie in the 10 role, utterly deluded. Hedges is finished, any pace has gone and contributes nothing. Neither Ohashi nor Gueye can play the lone striker role, Eustace has to change formation and try them as dual strikers and hope Gueye wreaks some havoc and Ohashi picks up the pieces. Cantwell is our only offensive player with quality. Forget all the feckin bolloocks about 'drifting from the left'. He has to play centre 10 and be allowed to pull all the strings. Simple as. Sadly, unless - Eustace sees sense, we might just have entered a death spiral. We need oodles more of Beck's strength, determination, leave nothing on the pitch attitude and competence to match and oodles more of Cantwell's vision, technique and quality. The writing is on the wall.

Eustace has got his selections and tactics wrong, yet again. We are going backwards at a rate of knots now. The persistent selection of both Dolan and Hedges is beyond comprehension. Neither offer anything Well beaten today and deservedly so.

You miss the point I'm making. Yes, different teams, players and styles but Pep utilises his most potent force where he works best and not shunted out left or right. Cantwell is our most potent force and he should play where he is on the ball as often as possible in order to pull the strings and that is central 10 and not on the feckin left! Simple as!

Cantwell is our most creative force. You want him where he will be on the ball the most and where he will pull the strings. That is in the central number 10 role. Your thoughts are akin to City playing Haaland out wide on the left or right! What do you not get?

Hirst - come on Chaddy, think 9 out of 10 of supporters thought he was a donkey! Looked a different player at Ipswich which you have to put down to the manager and coaches there. Identifying potential is part of the art of good recruitment. Again, full credit to the the manager and coaches there who are developing his talent and getting the best out of him. 5 goals in the PL already this season. To think your mate Mowbray allegedly said 'no' to City's offer of Delap on loan in Mowbray's last January window says it all!!!

Did you actually watch the match or are you regaling your dream from last night! In the main, we are awful to watch and punchless. Carter out for up to 3 months is going to be one big miss - Hyam, Batth and Mcfad wont be enough to see us through. Can't play the 2 T's together in midfield. Offensively, only Cantwell offers something of quality - IMO, Hedges just not up to it, Weimann finished, Dolan headless chicken, Siggy can't be arsed, Ohashi flash in the pan and can't play lone striker and Gueye, someone please take him to Blackpool beach. Good job we have some decent points already on the board as it's going to be one long hard, hard winter

Yep I'd go with that other than Ohashi instead of Dolan. Ohashi can't play the lone striker role but with Gueye there to do the heavy lifting, his finishing skills get him a huge nod over Dolan. Someone was telling me last night that Dolan has only 2 goals and 2 assists in 11 games - that is dreadful for any forward but having played mainly in his favoured 10 role, it's a diabolical return and further evidence, IMO, that he's grossly overrated and flatters to deceive. Cantwell has to be the focal point of our offensive threat. He is different class to our other offensive players and he did some excellent stuff last night. He must be nearing full fitness now and we need him pulling the strings in our offensive play as much as possible.

Reminds me of John O'Mara and Johnny Price back in the early 1970's. Big John, all 6 feet 4 inches of him was getting no service into the box, if O'Mara had anything, it was a usefulness in the air. The crowd wanted the wee winger Johnny Price on to provide some service. You guessed it, Price came on and O'Mara was taken off!

Dolan needs to do better in all aspects of his game. Apart from one half decent cross in the 2nd half, just wtf has he done!? Overrated on an industrial scale.
