I think, in the main, our football under Mowbray has been awful. I read and hear, in my opinion, far too much contradictory stuff from both Mowbray and Waggott. Personally, I do not trust them. In my opinion, they do not 'bleed blue'. To me, it's similar to a restaurant, if you don't like, or trust, the owner(s) / management then you vote with your feet / wallet. As for promotion to the PL, I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell of that happening under Mowbray / Waggott. If we do get promoted, I would only get back to buying season tickets if I thought we had a progressive management who, in my opinion, had the best interests of the the club at heart and the product on the field of play was good. IMO, @Tyrone Shoelaces is spot on, many, many 'diehards' have been sickened and I think there will need to be seismic changes in management and attitudes at Ewood to entice them back.

If you no longer enjoying doing something, you stop doing it! I go to only to a fraction of games I previously attended. Too many times, I've sat there during a match thinking what the feck am I doing here and that includes when we are winning! I want to be entertained and watch attractive and in the main winning football. Under Mowbray's tenure, in the main, I've found our football to be awful and some on here had the temerity to attack Big Sam who changed us from relegation certainties to a comfortable top half Premier League team. I also think Mowbray and Waggott are both incapable of getting us back to the PL and also insincere. I take anything they say with a pinch of salt. In my opinion, Mowbray lost huge credibility after what he said in Blues back in February and what has since happened.

We are not playing Liverpool, City, Barca or Real but feckin Millwall at our place and they are a mere 2 points in front us. Result shouldn't be in doubt and in my mind it's a banker home win with a 2 goal margin. If we can't see off Millwall having splashed almost £15million+ on Brereton, Gallagher and Armstrong then we have problems.

If Mike had had Fergie's heart and mental toughness then you could have said £135million!!! Almost a latter day Ronaldo - very similar in terms of build, pace and attributes. Best penalty taker I've ever seen as well.

One of my all time favourites. Tremendously skilled and on his day, a top class act. A player with an edge and an aggression - could, and frequently did, mix it with anyone. Just loved his directness and the way he attacked the defender(s) with the ball. Thanks for the memories Fergie and R.I.P.

Over at least the last 15 years, I think Thwaites mismanged their core beer business so badly that is has now virtually disappeared - it is a crying shame .

Know full well what succession planning is! Surely, the club knew two months ago whether Barr and Sheron were ready to step up. If they were confident the pair were ready to step up then it should have been done and dusted in days. I have never been involved in any organisation (excluding public sector organisations such as schools where vacancies have to also be advertised externally) where personnel has been earmarked as ready/capable for/of promotion only for the job to be advertised outside and then given to the internals some significant time down the line! IMO, it's just farcical.

Two clean sheets and wins on the bounce should have provided an enormous shot of confidence. A stuttering start for Cardiff, Has age finally doused Warnock's drive, hunger and passion. Maybe, it only works for so long with the players and it gets too familar and boring. It's a home banker for me and I'm going to bang last night's win winnings on Rovers at 11/8. I'd go: Walton, Nyambe, Lenihan, Williams, Hart, Travis, Johnson, Downing, Dack, Rothwell, Graham: Nyambe for Bennett - IMO, Bennett will never be an effective right back. For my liking, time and time again, he is beaten too easily and if Mowbray perseveres with him then I think there will be more roastings to come for our hapless skipper It would be folly to break up Lenihan and Williams as the two centre backs and surely Hart is better defensively than Bell Rothwell for Armstrong - IMO, Armstrong offers virtually nothing other than his pace (don't think the lad has it and certainly hasn't a football brain) Graham for Gallagher - not impressed with Gallagher when he was here before and, IMO, will never be the player Graham has been and still is. An incredible Sky statistic that our £5million man hadn't netted in his previous 20 league games (now 21 games after Hull). I think Mowbray has wasted the best part of £14million on Armstrong, Brereton and Gallagher and for that reason alone, should no longer be our manager. Is Brereton injured or is Mowbray's £7million+ man so ineffective that he can't even make the bench now!?
-
Two clean sheets and league wins on the bounce is a start but Mowbray still has a long way to go to convince. Let's keep some perspective - we've defeated two very ordinary teams in M'boro and Hull. I also think Mowbray has spunked £14million up the wall on Armstrong, Brereton and Gallagher - couldn't believe the stat that Gallagher has now gone some 21 league games without a goal!
-
Very good performance and deserved win. Confidence and momentum all important in this league. IMO, Bennett still a big liability, Gallagher a big waste of money and Armstrong showed again, no football brain and very limited skill. Big plusses tonight, Williams and Downing whilst Cunningham a big upgrade on Bell. Now for a glass or two or three to celebrate.
-
Should be winning this game - chances missed. Doubt Hull will be as ineffective in 2nd half. A couple of ours already blowing hard. £5million for Gallagher - what really is the point!?
-
Don't start nicking my forecasts!
-
Feckin hell - two months to decide that! Good and well managed organisations have something known as 'succession planning' - it isn't rocket science. Seems like we've gone for the cheapest options with little or no creative thinking shown. An input of new blood and 'fresh eyes' works wonders in most organisations.

Agree. Start with the strongest eleven irrespective of 2 games in 4 days. Goodness me, these are professional athletes. Compare to a top tennis player (eg Federer 38 years old, Nadal 33 years old) who might spend a minimum of 18 hours on court over a fortnight (equivalent to 12 games of football!!!). Can't see anything to fear here. Get on the front foot and be feckin positive. 3-1 to Rovers.

Came across Sodexho and Compass a good number of years ago in a work capacity and I wasn't overly impressed with their approach. Have also experienced their event catering etc on numerous occasions and although I recognise event catering at big events isn't easy, generally unimpressed with both their product and service. At the end of the day, the buck stops with Waggott on this one as presumably he signed off on the deal with Sodexho and a key part of the deal should be to provide a quality product and service at a reasonable price for the supporters. Supporters can and should vote with their wallets and support the many local businesses in the area that can provide good quality and value in their pre match refreshments whether it be a bag of chips, a pie, a sandwich, a lunch, a pint or even a nice glass of red!

I don't think either will be 'fit' for tomorrow.

Depends how you look at it. Think Wigan signed 3 players for about £2million or more in transfer fees. So, you spend £2million on a fee and pay the player say £10k / week minimum over a 3 year contract. Add employers' NI and over 3 years you have a cost of at least £3.76million equating to at least £1.254million / year. So coughing up for Charlies' wages for 10/11 months at say £1.1million is not so far fetched at all!
-
You always get last minute deals. However, there seems something different about the Mulgrew departure: It's not as though some club stumped up an offer with a transfer fee we couldn't refuse It's not as though we were blessed with competent centre backs and could afford to let someone go Surely, Mowbray would have taken the captaincy away from Charlie if he wasn't in his short term plans I think it boils down to either, or both, of two issues. 1) There was a bust up and Mowbray wanted him out as he would be a clear threat to his authority. 2) We were desperate to save Charlie's wages and ancillary costs (eg employers' NI at about 13/14%) which I think would be a minimum of £1.25million
-
Think was all done a tad unceremoniously. The manner of Charlie's exit would resonate in the wider dressing room. Bottom line is you simply don't treat your personnel in such a fashion, least of all your leader in the dressing room. Think Mowbray may well have lost the dressing room now and you don't get spilt milk back in the bottle!
-
Very much doubt he will resign. This, most probably, is his last pay day in football. Think it will cost a minimum of £1million to sack him. Would you walk?
-
Mowbray arrived in Jan. 2017 when we were bottom of the Championship. 32 months later, we are bottom of the Championship again. During this time, Venky's have issued approx £48million of shares (an average of £1.5million/month) through VLL in order to keep the ship afloat !!! There will come a tipping point for both Mowbray and, sadly, our club. Sobering thoughts.
-
If I'd coughed up £7million+ and commensurate wages, I feckin would! Remember, they have 'their' man (Suhail) giving them the inside track.
-
I've posted on more than one occasion recently that I think there is a points' target for August, our owners are miffed about the Brereton debacle and Mowbray had to give assurances Gallagher would play. I don't think I'm far wrong.
-
M'boro have almost been as dire as Rovers in 2019. Can't believe Gibson appointed Woodgate. Two struggling sides suggests a draw. However, if Mowbray picks the right side, I see a Rovers win by at least one goal. Assuming Lenihan and Tosin injured, I'd go: Walton / JRC, Nyambe, Williams, Cunningham / Johnson, Travis / Downing, Dack, Rothwell / Graham That means we'd have Mowbray's £13 to £14million strikers (Armstrong, Brereton, Gallagher) on the bench and just shows, IMO, Mowbray's poor player judgement and inability to spend wisely. Unfortunately, I think we will see Captain Bennett at right back and Gallagher out wide, again.

Good. The lad needs 90 minutes under his belt. Let's see what he has. Seems like he's been wrapped in cotton wool for 6 months and has just been a drain on resources.
