Don't think a decision will be taken until the window has closed or almost closed on Tuesday 2 Feb - and we know why! Think there's so much dross that needs removing including Forshaw, Henriksson and probably Baradji. Problem is that's almost a full team and illustrates, IMO, just how abysmal our signings have been. Further problem is who will buy such players!?!? Still think one or more of Alebiosu, Cantwell and Tronstad will go through the exit door. In most likelihood, this season's calamitous player trading will at worse relegate us or at best set us back 2 or 3 seasons. -

Think we've had half a dozen with 'three thousand and odd for a League game'. Remember a league game in Bobby Saxton's reign against Cardiff where we just about scraped over 3,000 - think it was our last home game of the season and ended in a draw. I was there!!!!! -

It's remarkable how Hughes seems to have lost so much of his 'touch'. In reality, done nothing remarkable since leaving Rovers (how he must rue the day) and some would say he has 'bombed' in a number of his jobs. Would take him over Ismael but feel he's very much yesterday's man. -

Think virtually anyone would be an upgrade on Ismael. As for Mowbray and his mate Venus, personally wouldn't touch them with a sh1tty stick. How much did these two know about Waggot's plan to flog part of Brockhall and downsize our wonderful facility there? IMO, Mowbray is selfish and in it for what he can get and he is not the affable 'uncle' type character he likes to portray. Failed to save us from relegation, got us back up on by far and away League 1's biggest budget and then trod water for 4 years, allegedly turning down an offer from City to take Liam Delap on loan in a Jan. window when we had a great chance of play-offs. No thanks.- 5165 replies

Even with our stooges Pasha and Gestede, there will be a breaking point that causes them to act. I expect Rovers to lose on Saturday therefore, for impact, it might well be better if Watford do a 'Norwich' (as they did at WBA) on us. if that doesn't do the trick, I think another defeat in the next match to Hull will. The window will then be about to close and a good time, from the stooges' perspective, to part company with Ismael but not before we see the departure of one or more from Alebiosu, Tronstad and Cantwell.

Hi Gav Hope you and yours are well too! Trust you eventually found Sean Dyche in La Manga and therefore back on board! Corrected your posting! Keep up old boy - 2/3 correct revelations in last week alone! You are right on one thing 'Venky's out and that's all that matters'! Fingers crossed, it might be sooner than folk think! KR M -

Genuine question @glen9mullan, and apologies if I have missed in the thread, do the Raos know about Saturday's boycott and have you been in touch with them directly? -

I do indeed! If I recall correctly, signed from Grimsby for £10k and drove over to Blackburn to sign in a hire car as he didn't have his own car! He got 2 of the goals against Plymouth at Ewood and that might have even been his debut (51 years ago so having to dig deep into the memory bank for the smaller detail). -

Think Gordon Lee used the proceeds to rebuild - his first four signings were all instrumental in our success: Graham Hawkins was the key one - stole from PNE for circa £20k Andy Burgin a class act at full back from Halifax - think his fee was less than £10k Graham Oates - so influential in midfield and chipped in with goals - circa £15k Ken Beamish - did what he needed as a number 9 for us in the Third Division - circa £25k Happy days - who will ever forget the Ewood promotion clash with Plymouth when Rovers fought back from 2-0 down to run out winners at 5-2. 1975 - promotion was our aim to crown a centenary of fame! 2025 - 150 years on, wonder what the 2025/26 epitaph will be!!!!!!!!!! -

Think under Ismael we have just about averaged a point per league game. That will not keep us up this season - looking at the table, I think at least 50 points will be required. -

Recall Gordon Lee being appointed around Christmas 1973 (?) and he sold Tony Field to SU just before deadline day in March 1974 - think the fee was circa £90k. -

May well have done but quite some time AFTER my post at 13:18 yesterday. If you can find anything anywhere prior to my posting yesterday about surprise selections and Cantwell's absence then I would be amazed. For the good of this MB, I think it's time you stopped your constant sniping and antagonistic comments. -

Two positives for me tonight . Powell's performance and the lovely Sauvignon Blanc I bought. -

They are! There's something in this match for us - the ball isn't 'breaking' for Swa sea in the box and seen it many times when you are destined to miss out. Terrific stuff from Powell for the goal and he LOOKS the footballer De Neve will never be. Shambolic defending for Swansea's goal. Back your instincts- in play bets for Rovers' win at 4/1 with a 2-1 scoreline at 7/1. -

Well there you go. Was told about this yesterday including the fact Cantwell would not even be travelling - heading for the exit door? Check the timing of my post yesterday @roversfan99 and tell me if you read about it anywhere prior to my post! Surely not another "stab in the dark"!!! -

and neither did I!!! "If I get the impression that the likes of you and @roversfan99are NOT in a minority of folk disliking these types of post then I will simply stop posting". As you seem to have difficulty understanding, let me clarify - if it was clear there was a big number of posters (ie "NOT in a minority") who disliked or rubbished my postings then I would simply stop posting. I do not need the aggravation and I only post in good faith and try to make a contribution to this MB community. -

Why Rovers? A short term deal, 'guaranteed' game time thereby gaining invaluable experience and becoming 'battle hardened' in a challenging and competitive league, we have something of a track record with promising young loan players (Elliott and Van Hecke to name but two) and as @islander200 points out, the parent club may prefer the young lad to be loaned to a club close to home for clear reasons. This would not be about money (loan fee, savings on wages etc) for the parent club but would be about hastening the development of a real young talent. Why not Rovers? -

You can't have it every way! Folk moaning that all seemingly quiet on the transfer front. Isn't a purpose of a MB to share information etc with like minded fans across the MB community? If I get the impression that the likes of you and @roversfan99are NOT in a minority of folk disliking these types of post then I will simply stop posting. -

Surely, you understand the sensitivities around naming players and that then spreading around social media and alerting other potential suitors. How many players have Rovers signed over last 18 months and name only known when deal done with posters on here then commenting 'that's how to do your business'!!! I named Daniel Oyegoke earlier in the window - difference being good possibility only Rovers might be interested in him and therefore much smaller risk in him being snared by some other club. It's certainly not a stab in the dark!!! Are you for real!? Pretty sure Rovers' fans on this MB would be very interested to know that an exciting young forward talent with a leading PL club is on Rovers' radar. This lad would be a real coup. You are always at me and trying to diss me. Just put me on ignore if you think I post rubbish. -
