  1. Who has said we have money to spend!? Waggott, Pasha, Gestede, Eustace - think not. Wouldn't dream of 'telling you and others what to say and think'. Merely offering my thoughts and opinions which we are all entitled to do. We haven't even closed a deal for McFadzean yet which should be the most straightforward bit of business to do. That tells you all you need to know. Lists and articles are all speculative and belong in fairy land. Most on here realise Rovers are in deep sh1te - stop dreaming and wake-up and smell the coffee.
  2. When will the penny drop!?!? I think it's pretty obvious we will not be spending money and only signing the dross no other club wants. This window is, and will continue to be, so feckin depressing
  3. It does show how desperate we were for cash but I think it also shows how desperately poor Waggott and Pasha are in both their judgement, knowledge and negotiation skills. Wee Dougie had them for breakfast!!!
  4. As a few have already recognised and posted as such, this statement is cleverly worded (use of should), however, also be very aware of other content in the statement: only to technical and procedural issues - different countries have their own variation on rules, regulations and nuances covering companies and their financial governance (financial transactions, operations, compliance and disclosures etc.). IMO, the word only vastly downplays the potential gravity of the offence(s) and implications.
  5. It's simple. All that needs saying is 'we have a budget to work to and we will be endeavouring to improve the depth and quality of the squad' You only say nothing when you have nothing to work with! Not all the fans are gullible fools.
  6. Let's get this clear. IMO, the Blackburn Rovers business, even for a football club, defies all conventional logic in terms of funding, operational management and decision making. Eventually, the deck of cards will collapse and if my thoughts and feelings are correct, there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth when the facts emerge.
  7. When a business is struggling financially, there are warning signs. The contracts for youngsters and the McFadzean issue are, to me, just two of a number of warning signs. I think the alarm bells are ringing and the warning lights are flashing. Sadly, those expecting Rovers to spend £7million, or even £1 or 2million, are living in a fools' paradise. IMO, all the signs continue to point to a need to 'sell to survive'. I think there is far more to the Indian court hearing in late August than meets the eye and it is a very serious existential threat to Rovers.
  8. Think we will see lots of these stories 'beaten off interest from Blackburn', 'Blackburn lost out etc'. The cynic inside me thinks the 'interest from Blackburn' etc is all fuelled from Ewood and is meant purely to make the happy clappers and gullible think things are happening and we are actually trying to sign players! As the window comes to an end, we will be choosing from the unwanted dross remaining on the shelves.
  9. Prepare to be disappointed! There are reasons both are employed by Rovers
  10. The art of affective communication is simplicity. If you do not think Rovers are feeding their supporters feckin bullsh1t by the barrow load then that is your perogative. Certain I know what I think!
  11. It's all feckin bullsh1t IMO. Keeps @chaddyrovershappy so hey ho.
  12. Don't know what's worse watching Rovers or watching England. Gallagher was ineffective exactly as I thought he would be and posted as such. A glorified Robble Savage. As for Rice, what's he doing that Travis couldn't!? He's that ineffective. For feck sake Southgate, show some balls and make Wharton your midfield playmaker. Boring and frustrating stuff from our over hyped, overrated prima donnas. Get the buggers home.
  13. Don't give a monkey's toss what other Championship clubs do or don't do. Arguably, we escaped relegation on the last day with a win only because Leicester had nothing to play for and had, probably, been out on the p1ss for several days and nights following them sealing their season at PNE on the Monday night. I think under Eustace we were dire and got lucky. If you think that squad does not need major surgery then I think you are dreaming. To not have at least one new face in by now is I repeat both shocking and inexcusable given last season's traumas - as things stand. I think we are nailed on certainties for the drop.
  14. There can be NO EXCUSES - that's Eustace's so called modus operandi! Changes in recruitment team don't wash. No one can tell me Eustace hasn't got his own list of players he would like to bring in - Waggott could have actioned at least one or two just as he seemed to do in the Jan. window. Unless of course there is no funding.......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Whether this Facebook posting is correct or merely nonsense, I think it just sums up where we now are as a club. First day of pre season training today and not a single new face for the first team. It's shocking and inexcusable - simple as that.
  16. Because Rovers nationally are nothing.
  17. We will see Rovers linked with many but none of note will come to fruition - think it's all part of a cynical plan to help keep the more gullible excited!
  18. You contradict yourself. Since Sir Alf, we have backed about 15 English managers and none delivered a tournament. Reportedly, Southgate is on £5million / year - that is some feckin backing and for what!?!? Capello failed because his disciplined Italian approach was too harsh for our namby-pamby overrated and overpaid 'stars'. Whilst conversely, I would suggest Sven was as dynamic as a wet blanket and he was too soft on our prima donnas. I am pretty certain we would get Klopp for £5million a year and he would deliver passion, excitement and most probably success. We have had just 2 foreign managers and I think it's time we rolled the dice again. I want an England team that exudes passion, excitement and success and not, IMO, the stale, fecked-up mess we are witnessing.
  19. Think we only have 5 English managers in the PL now, Howe, Dyche, Cooper, O'Neil and Martin - that's a mere 25%. If we could get Kopp, or even Pep if he fancies international management when his contract finishes at City next year, then it would be very foolish, short sighted and short minded to go down the 'English only' route.
  20. What have we won since 1966? The answer is nothing. Simple as that. Pretty sure you are in the minority. Get a poll going on here and let's see who is right!
  21. Absolutely agree. Attwell has 'form' though doesn't he!?
  22. Your list is utterly depressing. Howe would be an outsider, the rest would be nowhere. You say we tried two foreign managers and no more you say. However, you neglect to say since Sir Alf we've had about 15 English managers and achieved what!?!? Football is about opinions but I think you would find your opinions are very much in the minority where the nationality of the national team manager is concerned.
