Can only be positive IF managed properly. I would appoint a wise old head experienced in the commercial, administration and CEO aspects of football to work alongside him, mentoring and developing the lad. I would certainly be looking at someone other than Waggott!!! A younger Tom Finn like figure would be ideal.

You really think Sharpe and Bayes are close to the club and know what's going on?! If you think potential managerial candidates being shown around the STC and Academy is clearly bullsh1t then it is your prerogative. I have good reason to think otherwise. IMO, the recruitment of a new manager/head coach is further down the line than many think and I think this will soon become evident. Let's not have an argument over it but simply wait and see. If I'm wrong I will hold my hand up.

Think this is very similar to what Sharpe wrote. IMO, Bayes and Sharpe two of a kind - little insight and wont rock the boat, gave Mowbray an easy ride. Bayes expects the majority of backroom staff to stay in place - has the guy got any intelligence? Who would want to work with, IMO, fifth raters like Lowe and Benson.

Agree. I find some of the responses to speculation on this MB incredulous. IMO, history under current ownership and their various senior managers tells us that all is far from joined up at Rovers where planning, execution and decision making are concerned - if Carlsberg did indecision and flip-flopping! Take Coyle's appointment - did Chesterton not go away on holiday thinking Warnock's appointment was in the bag only for all to change whilst he was away??? Take April 2021 when there was speculation Mowbray was about to head for the exit door. I think his body language at the time suggested he thought he was going and according to at least one poster on here, his staff also thought the same. Again, it was speculated (including some well known / respected posters on this MB) alternative managers were sounded out . Who was pulling the Ewood strings then and why an apparent change of mind? I think you could ask Rovers Senior Executive Management the same question and I think there's a high probability you would get several different answers! As for Sharpe, I have little confidence in his understanding of what's going on - I take his scribblings with a pinch of salt. As for prospective managers not visiting Brockhall - any prospective manager who hadn't seen the facilities down there would, IMO, most certainly want to see what set-up he had to work with. My personal view is Rovers are further down the line in their search for a new manager than Sharpe and some others on here think.

I don't think Sharpe has an insight like the lads on Liverpool Echo and Manchester Evening News have about their teams, moreover, I think Sharpe writes what he's allowed to! I understand interviews/discussions have now taken place with at least two candidates. I have little reason to doubt the credibility of the source.

Mention of Dyche relates to a posting I made last Tuesday when my lad spotted him in his car when we were driving through Dinckley. I posted about an hour ago that I was told at least one managerial candidate was being shown around Brockhall today (and I saw one arrive at The Academy) and I understand Carvalhal was one. Others have since posted about hearing interviews were taking place today at Brockhall.

Not sure where you get £25million from - read somewhere that during Hughton's fairly brief reign, £19million was spent and £16million brought in from sales. Interestingly, same report said Forest had a net spend of just £2million over last 5 seasons. Sadly, Mowbray's spent around £20million on new players and they haven't helped! Yep, he's recouped some through sales of Armstrong and Raya. I guess if you look at the respective transfer spends over Mowbray's tenure they are very similar but i think you have to agree Forest are much better placed to move forward as evidenced by what's happened since Cooper went. To me, it's pretty clear Cooper is streets ahead of Mowbray and the difference is managerial ability and not monies spent.

I think you have to be very open minded about it all. In my experience, football is not the only industry where things are seemingly done unethically. Rovers are hardly likely to come out, at any point in time, and say they were considering / interviewing candidates when a manager was already in situ.. To think clubs act with integrity and honour is one helluva stretch and, IMO, naive - you only need to see what has happened at Watford recently.

I would disagree with you. I think at least two candidates have been seen. A number of posters on this MB are of the opinion Rovers were interviewing prospective managers last April (2021) even when Mowbray was in post; Wilder and Neil are two of the names speculated upon - I think (and posted at the time) Wilder thought he had bigger fish to fry whilst I think Neil (and those links go back almost 18 months) came as close to being appointed manager as Warnock did prior to Coyle's appointment - one day, the facts might emerge. Similarly, I think Warburton came close to being Rovers' manager prior to joining Glasgow Rangers.

Sea Bass on a Thursday night, wow! Seriously, one of my favourite fishes. Because Sea Bass has a mild/delicate flavour, I'd go for a Sauvignon Blanc with fresh juicy gooseberry/grapefruit flavours with a lingering finish. You should be able to pick up a very decent bottle for about a tenner. Usually, Booths / Waitrose have some terrific offers on for this type of wine.
