Aren't Saturday nights grand now?! More money from the bookies but wine stocks dwindling fast! I'll keep saying it - confidence and momentum are everything in this league and Rovers will go into the WC break in the top two. Venky's, this might be your best chance ever to get huge parts of your money back - JUST FECKIN BACK JDT IN THE JANUARY WINDOW. Time to uncork another bottle.................. -

No ifs, no buts, fully expect 3 points today. At a shade over 2/1 for Rovers' win, good money to be earned. No surprise about Hirst and Buckley not even making the bench. -

Ten wins is fantastic at this stage of the season - more than any other team in the Championship. Just think where we'll be when the penny fully drops with JDT and the team. This game at 2/1 for Rovers' win is a licence to print money. Fill yer Christmas boots and go big! -

Three points is three points - yes we could have played better and we have Kaminski to thank but that's the job of the goalkeeper - Cloughie knew a goalie's worth hence the huge fee then for Peter Shilton. We are in an unbelievable position and we haven't got out of third gear. As I've posted, think we will go into the World Cup in the top two. Automatic promotion is ours to lose - JDT needs to get a bit more savvy about the Championship and Venky's need to put their balls on the block come January's window. It's been a good day worthy of a bottle or two of fine red tonight. -

I think many will agree, at times, JDT has made some bizarre decisions in selection of tactics and players. Maybe some naivety about Championship football, maybe not. IF he is learning and putting into practice his learnings from his previous mistakes then I think we have a great chance of going up from what I think is a p1ss poor league. IF, however, he continues to get it wrong in some matches to come then who wouldn't have great concerns? As Einstein defined insanity "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” -

Nailed on 3 points. Brum's 3rd game in 6 days - will be on their knees by half time. With our run of fixtures, confident we'll go into the World Cup either top or second. -
Aye - to me, never came across as the sharpest knife in the the drawer. He lost Beale to QPR and all down hill since. Think Dyche would love this one!
-
Keep saying it but this league is p1ss poor and I think Rovers can achieve anything they want to this season providing JDT puts into practice his learnings from the season so far and he is backed in the Jan. window. Confidence and momentum are everything in the Championship. There is no team to fear. Rovers need to be bold and brave from the top of the organisation to the bottom. We may never have a better chance of going up.

I hope he gets a very loud feck off. IMO, we owe him absolutely nothing. I think Rovers rescued him from the scrap heap and handsomely swelled his pension fund. Humbleness and integrity are not words I associate with dinosaurial Mowbray. I hope we feckin spank them 5-0. -

Been tied up all day so been oblivious to the world of football. Delighted with Rovers' win.....the bizarre sequence continues. For feck's sake, let it end on Tuesday as I don't wont to see, IMO, the smug b@st@rd Mowbray leaving with a win. We've an unbelievable opportunity this season in a p1ss poor league. Come on JDT and Rovers, grab it with both hands. -

Feckin hell Chaddy - Hirst! I think an empty dustbin would be more useful! -
How good is Brereton really? Would he really cut it in the PL? Is he really more suited to a mid table La Liga side? I certainly think he's an excellent Championship player and a far better footballer than Armstrong. At a time when goal scorers are scarce and worth a a fortune, you would have thought some PL team would have taken a punt at £15millon irrespective of his contract situation. I think the fact Rovers received offers reportedly in the £8m to £10m range tells its own story - PL clubs are far from convinced Brereton has what it takes to seriously make an impact in the PL. I am not convinced he has the intensity or dynamism to make an impact in the PL. On a 'free' some PL clubs might take him as a 'squad' player. In my view, Brereton's best move would be to a mid table La Liga team - where there would be far less pressure on him in a far less intense league and it would suit his style of play much better.

Not a bad shout. However, I think Travis is so sh1te I would question if Edun could be any worse!? I would be surprised if we see Ayala again this calendar year Think it was unnecessary madness for JDT to play Ayala for 4 games in 12 days given his injury record. Surely Carter could have slotted in for at least 1 game. IMO, Szmodics and Hirst should be well away from the starting 11. In fact, Hirst should not even be in the match 19 as I would go with either Vale (and I don't rate him) or Leonard before Hirst. Dack simply has to start. As for match outcome, our bizarre sequence says we should win, however, M'boro may well have their new manager at least sat in the stands which may well fire them up enough to see us off. Another freebie if I wanted but after Wigan, no thank you! -

What a superb job Leam Richardson has done with Wigan under the most difficult circumstances. Ably assisted by other former Roverites in Rob Kelly and James Beattie (would take these two in a heart beat over the likes of Johnson, Lowe and Benson) Think several clubs looking for new managers could do much worse. -

Our big problem, in addition to JDT, is midfield. I don't think we ever threaten to control a game. I like many during the window said we needed to sign an ugly hard b@st@rd who could also play a bit. I think Travis has regressed at a rapid rate of knots and has no influence on a game. Morton and Andy Wharton MUST start every game and somehow we need another body in there to beef things up - until we can sign the ugly hard b@st@rd maybe we stick Edun in there. I also think Johnson, Lowe and Benson are also a big part of the problem. If they aren't influencing things then just what the feck are they doing? Think that's just 12 points from our last 11 games. I don't buy all this project cr@p from JDT and GB. Results and visible progress are what's required. Supporters have strong reasons to be gravely annoyed and concerned. -

Shocking, shocking and shocking. Major concerns about JDT now. Any manager who gets his starting line up so wrong, so often has problems. No positives. Two shots is a joke. Wigan fans were laughing at me. Could rip almost every player to bits. In particular Travis shocking, offers nothing, needs axing. Szmodics, feck me, it's a wonder half of Posh aren't still laughing - we've really had our knickers pulled down. Hirst, feck me, feck me, feck me - possibly the worse centre forward I've EVER seen in blue and white, offers absolutely nowt. How Dack can't even get on as a meaningful sub, never mind starting a match, is totally inexplicable. Fully deserved to win did Wigan. Wanted it more and had a game plan. I think we were an embarrassment. That's me finished with all this sh1te. I do not think we are a serious team. -

Have to disagree as this season's Championship is the weakest I can recall for some times. It's almost laughable we are within 3 points of the top two The teams that fare well will be those whose managers understand the league, are well organised and are physically and mentally strong. Forget trying to be too clever tactically - it aint feckin needed in this league. If JDT can get his head around this league pretty quickly, and the evidence is that he's not quite there yet, I would put our chances of top 6 at 90% and auto promotion at 80%. If we are well placed come the WC break and we can bring 2 or 3 QUALITY players in early in Jan's window then I honestly think promotion is there for the taking. Stop fannying around at the back, play your strongest team, no square pegs in round holes and we will be in with a real shout. Betting on us breaking the bizarre wlwl........sequence at Wigan tomorrow night and at 2/1 fill yer boots. -

I don't come cheap! Scaled right back now and just do a bit here and there and it has to be something I really fancy. A case of fine reds is usually the 'tip' (on top of my invoice) from satisfied clients. -

I remember first seeing Sherwood in a Rovers' shirt - I thought wtf, we've signed a real southern poser here! Although Sherwood grew into his Rovers' career, it was clear early doors there was some real talent in there. -
Dyche - now a very wealthy man and can afford to be choosy. Unless it's a very special job, I would be amazed if he takes a job outside an hour's travel radius of his home base. Understand he topped Gibson's wish list but the geography would always make it a virtual non starter. Wilder - understand Rovers were very interested (along with Neil) when it seemed some 18/19 months ago Mowbray was heading for the exit door. Think Wilder thought he would have bigger fish to fry. Would think Middlesbrough job has done for him in terms of 'desirable' future jobs. Bruce - would think is now unemployable Edwards - like you just don't get it. Maybe just a one hit wonder!
-
Not sure Dyche would want WBA - think too much wrong with club's structure, politics etc and they are skint! Think Forest extending Cooper's contract to 2025 is utter idiocy. Rated Cooper but he seems to have lost the plot with 20+ signings at some £150m+. He simply can't buy a result. Think he'll be fired by Jan.. Would think Dyche would take either Forest or Leicester if offered.

I would love to see the assumptions and metrics behind Rovers' pricing (I'll stop short of calling it a strategy) - I suspect there are none other than a discarded fag packet! Managing your pricing strategy is a key way for any organisation, whether it be in manufacturing. retail, service or entertainment, to improve it's bottom line. Sadly, in the Ewood corridors of executive management, I think there are only vacuous and nous free zones. -
Saturday steak night! Goes down even better when Rovers win. Had an excellent red (Domaine de la Baume Elite d'Or Cab Sauv/Marselan) which was spicy and didn't half pack a punch and a great accompaniment to steak. The missus picked it up and we thought it was terrific for £12/13. And you?

PNE: Lowe was an excellent appointment - an excellent organiser and motivator and done a great job in just 10 months. Stoke: Neil an excellent manager - will be no surprise if he gets Stoke into play offs this season Watford: Doubt Bilic will make it until the WC starts. Never rated him - a busted flush now. WBA: Think they'd like to fire Bruce but can't afford to pay-off him and his mates
