  1. JDT seems to have a knack of churning out a result when least expected. See nothing to fear - Rovers by a single goal.
  2. We will see! I have offered my thoughts and observations and having very good contacts in the legal field, I feel confident in what I've written.
  3. Disagree with your legal perspective. Law is either statute or case (established by precedent and there always has to be a first case which becomes a precedent and this could be it!). Feel certain Forest or O'Brien or both will have a pop at us. All parties had signed contracts and execution was only frustrated by one body failing to meet the timely requirements of its regulatory body. I think negligence could be construed to have caused financial and other loss. Only the next few days / weeks will tell but I strongly suspect Rovers haven't heard the last of this.
  4. You would think our owners and Pasha would want to know why we keep losing 'legal' cases, Berg, Shaw etc and now EFL. Both costly and embarrassing.
  5. The contract could not be fulfilled owing to Rovers' established mismanagement of the process. I don't think we have a leg to stand on.
  6. The contract was frustrated by Rovers negligence / incompetence as evidenced by the arbitration appeal report headed by KC. It's that simple.
  7. Well for starters, Forest are now paying wages and employer's NI at 13/14% that they wouldn't have been doing should he have joined Rovers on loan. Seemingly, Rovers were meeting O'Brien's wages in full so that's at least £500k over the loan period. If Rovers get promoted, Forest would have pocketed a £10million fee and would have freed themselves of the remaining obligations on O'Brien's contract - that's likely to be no less than £5million. Then you have what O'Brien might want for Rovers stalling his career and maybe putting it into regression. Should Rovers narrowly miss promotion when O'Brien might have given them an edge then that's perhaps a £500million opportunity cost including parachute payments in the event of relegation. What a sorry and potentially huge financial mess. Wake up and smell the coffee.
  8. I posted the same on here at the time but one or two posters thought it was ludicrous. Well I think the chickens are about to come home to well and truly roost. I think the report is damning and the Rovers haven't a leg to stand on. Very much doubt this will end up in court but I would think there will be very, very substantial compensatory settlements.
  9. Have read the report in full. I think it's an absolute embarrassment for Rovers. Almost certainly costs will be awarded against Rovers and given widespread use of KC in addition to other legals, would think cost of this will run into six figures. It's damming and, IMO, both Waggott and Silvester have to go for such a farce, it's indefensible.
  10. To me, it's written in the stars. Home draw against Burnley in the quarters. And yes, we are going up through the play offs. Something has changed over the last half dozen games or so.. Absolutely loved last night and it's years and years since I felt like this about Rovers.
  11. Still buzzing after last night. Our best performance in years. The benchmark has been set. Maintain that performance level and many fans will return.
  12. Almost speechless. Just bloody brilliant. Had £25 on Rovers at 11/1! Just opened a Veuve Clicquot. Like the days of old!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Not a chance tomorrow. Threadbare squad at breaking point and too many key players missing. The Ainsworth factor...........!!! Gone for QPR at 6/5 and more than 2.5 goals at 13/10. At least recent winnings have ensured I have copious quantities of fine reds to dull the pain of a Rovers' loss.
  14. and Wales' manager for good measure!
  15. Another profitable night and another case of fine reds ordered - thanks Rovers! We are getting some very good results despite a threadbare squad - I really hope we don't come to regret our abysmal window. Against all the odds, now back up to 4th - where will it all end - can go to bed and dream tonight! Rovers a very difficult watch at times under JDT but to be 4th when he's got his hands tied behind his back! I do like the fact he is prepared to leave 'big name' players out. An Ainsworth inspired QPR is going to be one big test on Saturday - just hope we've something left in the tank.
  16. Think we'll have too much much for Blackpool tonight - they are really, really poor - think they'll struggle to cope with likes of Dolan, Thomas and even Szmodics. Lumped on at marginally better than evens and gone for £10 each on Thomas and Dolan as anytime scorers at 7/1 and 3/1 respectively. More quality reds to come! Tonight's 'quaffer' is a Douro Valley Reserva from Waitrose - highly recommended and terrific value at about £12.
  17. I'll bet you £50 this is all futile nonsense and nothing will come of it. Loser pays £50 to charity of winner's choice. Just what have you got to lose given your certainty over the issue?
  18. Who says we are pursuing it? We are almost 3 weeks post transfer window closure and seemingly zilch has been reported. Btw, when I referred to KC in an earlier post, it referred to 'Kings Counsel' and not a firm of lawyers! You keep believing Chaddy but, IMO, this one ran out of legs almost before the starting gun was fired!
  19. IMO, not a chance BBD will accept this offer. In comparison to last season, this season has been moderate and he can't afford a repeat of this season next season otherwise the offers he gets for 2024/25 will be significantly less attractive financially. If I was Brereton's agent I'd be advising him to strike whilst the iron is relatively hot and secure a big signing on fee and a lucrative contract for 3 years or more.
  20. IMO, EFL didn't blink and we did because we didn't really have a leg to stand on. I think all smoke and mirrors in an attempt to placate some of the fans who naively swallow the bullsh1t that I think spews out of Ewood.
  21. Unbelievable. Just imagine where we'd be if we played well!!! Off to order my case of reds with the winnings. Thanks Ayala.
  22. Are Rovers still fighting and says who? EFL will not blink - as custodians / governing body they have to be seen to be strong. Speed is of the essence in instances such as these. IF Rovers are serious about this then presumably they will be represented by KC and the cost for KC is feckin mega bucks (circa £2,000 / hour). I feckin wish Rovers would start doing things both right and well and I would then be at the front of the queue to praise them. Sadly, IMO, our club is shambolic and seem to make a dog's breakfast out of most things.
  23. Unless we get a blow by blow account, which Broughton has promised!!!!, then we may never know with certainty. How many transfers do the EFL handle over the course of a season - I'm guessing at 750+ How many transfers do Rovers execute over the course of a season - 10 at most! I know where my money would be placed re the fault factor. IMO, the stench from Ewood is nauseating.
