JDT has 15 minutes to save our season. Two of BBD, Dolan and Hedges MUST be hooked now. We need Leonard and Dack on - they know the way to goal. We have absolutely feckin nothing to lose. Absolute insanity from JDT. -

If Dolan doesn't get hooked soon, we lose. Total crap. -

Nail on head - the lad simply doesn't have a striker's instinct. You either have an eye / nose for goal or you don't. Leonard has shown he has - unlucky not to come away with 3 goals from 2 cameo performances. -

Love those sort of quirks. So often turn out right! -

Think the use of City facilities only recent. My understanding is some medicals were carried out at Brockhall for the August window. Please understand that any Duly Authorised Signatory can sign off the paperwork (would think given background of @philipl he would be aware of this) and for the life of me I can't understand why Broughton wouldn't or shouldn't do this.
-
Are we such a small time club that we now have to use Man City's training facility? If so, unbelievable and nonsense. Broughton IS IN CHARGE OF FOOTBALL - he is the DOF with specific responsibility FOR ALL FOOTBALL MATTERS - if that does not include the signing of players then feck me! Who on earth said they were partying or at a Chinese buffet!?! Didn't Broughton himself not say they went out in Manchester to water and feed O'Brien? Feck me, I can tell you off at least half a dozen places very close to Brockhall where they could have gone for food!!! You are wrong about Waggott and Silvester. Transfer documentation can be signed off by any DULY APPOINTED SIGNATORY so why the feck that can't be our highly paid DOF is beyond comprehension. Chaddy - stop trying to defend the indefensible and all things Rovers. Be objective!!!
-
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Broughton is the DOF. Footballing matters are his responsibility. When time is of the essence and you are working to a strict and defined schedule, you should ensure that ALL key personnel are under one roof for the day including Waggott and any medical personnel required for a medical or medicals. Additionally, wasn't Broughton watering and feeding O'Brien in Manchester? - IMO, what feckin nonsense if correct.

Cometh the hour cometh the man!!!! It's a no feckin brainer. We have absolutely nothing to lose, we are drinking in the last chance saloon. -
TBH after our recent run of results, I don't think we could ask for anything other than it being back in our hands. We are on our way!
-
I'll add another one pertinent to me and that's 'gut feel' and that is not down to last night's curry which was terrific! Can't explain it or rationalise it but my 'gut feel' is we are going up. To me reminiscent of 1991/1992 season when we scraped into the play-offs in sixth place on the last day of the season and we were then staring down the barrel at 2 down to Derby in the semi final first leg at Ewood after some 20 minutes - the rest is history! The 'fun' starts on Monday: Rovers 3 - Luton 1. Hope springs eternal. Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend.
-
IF, and it's an enormous feckin IF, Rovers somehow manage two wins, I think it would be enough. My forecast: Coventry 70 points Sunderland 69 points Millwall 68 points WBA 67 points PNE 65 points They say it's the hope that kills you............................!!!

It only takes one mindless idiot to permanently damage a person's life and that of their family - that could be on the way to the ground, in the ground or coming away from the ground. At my age, I am far more circumspect about the situations I put myself in. If you and others do not recognise, respect or understand that then maybe you should question your own commonsense and intelligence or more likely lack of. Your comparison is utter tosh. -

Good stuff! Don't be so sanctimonious Chaddy. Watching Rovers is NOT MANDATORY but A CHOICE. Football is a competing entertainments' industry. Supporters want to be entertained, they want value for money - some 10,000 have 'opted out' over recent times. What do you do socially? The UK's wine market is worth about £25BILLION annually - we aren't all wrong! Football is about opinions - our fathers and grandfathers fought in two World Wars to allow us to openly express our opinions. You might not agree with my opinion but others do. Just about to leave the house for a good walk followed by a lovely lunch and a glass or two or three or four of wine - is that ok? Matter of opinion. Not all share your opinion(s). Nail on head! -

A cheap, cheap shot. I will chose to watch Rovers' games any way I wish whether that be at a live match or on television. Eight of us had a wonderful evening despite the result for four of us. Yes we did 'bottle it' - a dozen empty wine bottles and over a dozen empty beer bottles landed in the recycle bin this morning. Hope you enjoyed your night. -

The club most needed my support when they were almost rock bottom of the old Third Division playing in front of only a few thousand and at times when coaching staff were helping too pay the electricity bills. I was there standing loud and proud, home and away. I don't need lectures from you. -

By and large last night was men against boys. Burnley did all they needed and one sensed they could easily step up a gear if needed. Let's be honest, if we won an away match like Burnley did last night, most would be saying 'a classic away performance, soaked up the pressure, they huffed and they puffed but never threatened, they didn't create a note worthy chance, our keeper hadn't a save to make and we showed them how it's done with a superb finish'. Make no mistake, IMO, JDT has been found out big time in this last few matches. His selections and tactics have been wrong. How many times has he changed things and we've seen a second half improvement. We were excellent at Huddersfield in the 2nd half but instead of keeping the same team and momentum for the Hull match he pisses about and we saw the result of that! Adam Wharton is a superlative talent. He showed this at Blackpool but instead of building on that, JDT jettisoned him until very recently. My God that seems crass and awful management. That lad could have had us in the play offs or even pressing for automatic promotion if Broughton had managed to find a half decent striker in one of his two windows. Obviously, we needed goals but mysteriously JDT has failed to give our most natural goalscorer (Leonard) a chance despite two impressive cameos where he was unlucky not to come away with 3 goals. The lad has an eye and a nose for goal and can be found in the right place at the right time. IMO, horrible mismanagement of resource and talent, again (as with Adam Wharton) by JDT. The perseverance with Dolan is absolutely mystifying - IMO, a schoolboy masquerading as a headless chicken. Besides Wharton, a big plus from last night was JRC's new found aggression. The lad has been superb since he fought his way back and I salute him. Get his feckin contract done Broughton. Some are blaming Pickering for allowing Benson inside for Burnley's goal which is partially right, however, the trouble started with Carter p1ssing about and giving the ball away thinking he was Franz Beckenbauer. A very, very disappointing finish to a season. Another excellent opportunity spurned - they wont keep coming along. And why? Firstly, IMO, Broughton's mismanagement of two windows - failure to land a half decent striker and failure to close the O'Brien deal (Broughton is our DOF and it's his responsibility to ensure things get done as they should, SIMPLE AS THAT AND NO EXCUSES. What a difference another striker and O'Brien would have made. And secondly, I think JDT has bottled it with his team selections and tactics - fortune favours the bold and brave and not the safe and timid. Prior to the New Year, we had more than our fair share of luck gathering points we didn't deserve - over recent games, we've found our lucky at the bank to be overdrawn; these things tend to balance out over the season so unlucky is not an adjective I would use. -

Our season fizzles out. Carter pissing about cost us the goal. How the feck do you expect to score if you don't shoot? Don't think their keeper had a save to make. We never threatened. Set pieces appalling. Why the feck is Dolan on the field - totally out of his depth. Hedges flatters to deceive, Brereton can't be arsed. Travis's limitations in evidence again - not a Championship player. Bringing Leonard on with 5 minutes to go - dreadful decision, far too late. Adam Wharton best player on the field by a country mile - we'll be lucky if he's still here next season. JDT not good enough - found sadly wanting at the business end of the season. Burnley guests gone home happy - they never felt threatened, just couldn't believe how punchless we were. -

Too late our evening sorted. Eight of us for an early dinner (4 Roverites, 4 Clarets) with both claret and blue wine for starters (a glass of each is obligatory). Once the game starts, the drinks really will flow - it will be lively but all good natured. Let's hope we are all celebrating in our own way! -

Good one! Seriously, when I was 'a lad', I got caught up in some situations I shouldn't have - some 50 years on, not quite as 'handy' as I once was! -

Firstly, I think limiting Burnley to just 2,000 tickets will back fire as it's very likely many of their fans will have sought to get tickets for other parts of the ground. Secondly, allowing Burnley fans to make their own way to the ground?! Thirdly, think some Burnley fans will make their way to Blackburn without tickets and occupy pubs showing the game. Stay safe those Rovers' fans attending. I along with a good number of others I know have reluctantly opted to watch the match from our own safe environments. It's a sad day when football has come to this and I think it's time those Rovers and Burnley fans who harbour a moronic and imbecilic hatred came to their senses.
