Neil had him for breakfast. PNE have had so many players coming and going over recent weeks yet Neil still had them very organised - they looked streets ahead of Rovers who, IMO, were utterly shambolic and clueless. The buck stops at the manager's door.

Sorry but I think you are wrong. I think you could put Mowbray in charge of Man City and he would still make a dog's breakfast of it. IMO, we have a crap CEO and a crap manager. Get those two roles wrong and you are well and truly bollocksed.

I think Mowbray has destroyed Nyambe's confidence. IMO, the lad has been treated with contempt and always seems the target when things go wrong for Mowbray. If Lenihan had not been out of position forcing Nyambe to cover for him and Gallagher understood the role of a wide man (would have dropped back to cover for Nyambe), Cunningham would not have found himself in a different post code to the Rovers' defence. If I was Nyambe's agent, I would be advising him to get as far away from Mowbray as possible. I think Mowbray has form for hanging the younger, easier targets out to dry and also for ruining the confidence of younger players by playing them out of position - Reed, Gallagher, Brereton etc all spring to mind. There's a feeling with some fans that after almost four years there, maybe both Neil and PNE need a change and that Neil would jump at an opportunity with Rovers. Surely, Friday's sh1t show and Mowbray's attitude has convinced even you that it's time for a change. FFS, Gallagher at right back has to be a defining moment. See my comments to RoversClitheroe re Neil. At 39, he's still young and hungry and he's proven in recent times he's got what it takes to get a team into the PL. You would think it would be very appealing to the Raos. Wouldn't be my choice but, IMO, would be a HUGE improvement on Mowbray as Neil has shown he can VERY QUICKLY organise a team. For what it's worth, I think Mowbray will be gone soon and even by the end of the month.

It's quite amusing. Relative of mine who told me he thought Neil would be appointed Rovers' manager before end of Jan. is even more convinced that it will happen sooner rather than later - PNE's win on Friday demonstrating Neil can get results quickly (no slow build or evolution for him) despite wholesale changes. He does have good PNE connections and is employed in what is deemed to be a profession of sobriety! He doesn't bullsh1t and when he speaks I tend to listen! Whilst Neil wouldn't be my choice, I think he's miles ahead of Mowbray.

Generally, curries and wine don't match. However, based on your starter and fish based curry (with garlic and chilli), I'd go for an off-dry Riesling which is very slightly sweet. Ask them to recommend a bottle and you should be able to get something decent for ten or twelve quid.

Not as simple. It was chaotic - so many Rovers' players in or around the six yard box. Starting positions were all wrong and I honestly don't think the players knew what they were doing - school boy stuff.

Don't think the players had a clue what they were doing at the corner - disorganised chaos. When defending set pieces, every one of your 11 players should know what their responsibility is. That is basic organisation and coaching. Think Evans / Neil said post match they though Rovers were vulnerable at set pieces.

Thought Whiteman was quietly efficient and, in the main, helped to snuff out Rovers. Was very disciplined and didn't get forward anywhere near as much as he did at Donny - presumably, Neil has mapped out his role, at least when PNE away from home.
