  1. Past hour
  2. De Neve reminds me of the period when we signed a load of random Portuguese lads, played a few games, and were never heard of again. I do not understand the signing at all. Henricksson and Tavares have more pedigree, Henricksson in particular seemed to be a fan favourite with great scoring stats for a midfielder. Hopeful that both will come good when they've adjusted to the league.
  3. I suspect you know the following and are purposely twisting my point. My issue is not with a policy of selling players with a year to go. Although when we didnt, you also defended the club on that. My issue is with the total inability and unwillingness to offer competitive contracts. Its with one contract being sorted in 2 years. The wage structure is clearly too low. And on your other points. Yes, Gestede is a prick. And why is it when a signing looks good based on very few games, its deemed a good signing. But when one looks poor, its because hes not had enough time? Surely it works both ways? Based on what we have seen before, some are better than others, although things may change in the future. We conceded 2 really poor goals. Not unlucky, not bad decisions made out of control. Fully of our own making. Got what we deserved.
  4. The Tractor Boys plough their way to Ewood…a return for Sammie of course. Some recent meetings…
  5. Your BRFCS POTM is Scott Wharton… MOTM template.mp4
  6. Its early days but been impressed with all the signings except De Neve, Henricksson and Tavares. Plus obviously Baraji is injured. De Neve and Henricksson are a bit strange as its hard really to see where they fit in as there are so many players ahead of them. I guess once the game frequency picks up theyll get a game. Mori, McCloughlin, Alebiouso, Miller all look the part. Only seen a tiny amount of Gudjonsen and TGH but signs are promising. If we did manage to keep the squad quality similar to last season it would be incredible recruitment work considering we have no loans and no short term experienced players.
  7. My grandson is a bit like that, however he has seen us win occasionally.
  8. For someone that "agrees" you might want to get out of that E Lancs bubble.
  9. Burnley Liverpool first half bore fest The dive by Kerkez is stupid as hell, deserved a yellow card.
  10. Weird, but you do you I guess. It's just the people who want to bang on like it makes you any less of a fan or is somehow offensive to us that irritate me.
  11. Does it bollocks 'require' him to refer to us that. If we were playing Tranmere or Doncaster, sure, otherwise of course he could refer to us as Rovers if he wanted. Like it's gonna stipulate in his contract he has to call us Blackburn! He calls us whatever he feels like because it doesn't matter for shit. Blackburn, Rovers, we are both. All I agree with is he is a proper Rover and loves the club.
  12. My son won't be there you'll be glad to hear. He's a jinx. He gets the very odd game in when he visits. Norwich last home game. Previously Hull City a couple of years ago.....we lost. Before that Doncaster Rovers in the league cup......again we lost. He cannot remember seeing them win at Ewood. Here's hoping for our first home win of the season.
  13. First non-Rovers Championship football I have seen this season. Watched from my sick bed and now feel worse. Couldn't believe how bad it was. Of course both will be inspired playing against us but that was abysmal.
  14. By the sounds of it he left on good terms, and he's obviously a Sheff Utd man, so from his pov he got a nicely paid holiday and likely a decent raise to return. Less pressure on him to get promotion now too, as he's got to try and clear up the mess that's been left behind. Ultimately it's the owners who will have egg on their face no matter what happens.
  15. Today
  16. He was on Radio Lancs and just like Kevin Gallacher has no requirement to call us Blackburn. He always refers to us as Blackburn whatever environment he’s in, if that makes me strangely obsessed, so be it, but I think it matters whatever bluebruce might think
  17. Sensible and Rovers, parted company many years ago.
  18. An ex-workmate of my wife’s has invited us to the restaurant at The Midland Hotel in Manchester for the 12 course taster menu this coming Friday. It’s not really my style, I’m not a big eater these days. I’ll let you know how I go on.
  19. I’m hoping to be there now I’m back in the UK. Maybe with my grandson in tow.
  20. We need to make it fortress Ewood next Saturday, let's follow the Watford result with a home win, and get some momentum going.
  21. Anybody watch the Southampton v Poersmouth derby ? Zzzzzzzzz. Like watching the Bay Horse v the Red Lion.
  22. Last thing I heard he was planning a comeback, now this. The boxing world has lost a real character.
  23. Great performance yesterday particularly the defence but I do feel that we are one body light in the centre. I know Rudy has ruled out another signing but can’t help thinking a change of mind would be sensible.
  24. I can understand your points here I totally agreed with your last point As I said before the owners made a bad decision getting rid of Wilder, no surprise they have panic already and got back to Wilder, more surprised Wilder has even entertain their approach
  25. As long as it is wins he is talking about, I don't care what Dunny calls us.
  26. I listened to the post match hour long show yesterday and I did find it very weird how he always just calls us 'Blackburn' and I really don't like it at all. Maybe he is trying not to sound biased, but that shouldn't be a problem as every pundit on there is picked for their affinity to the local clubs. You would think someone local who played here almost his entire career would know different.
