  1. Past hour
  2. Its very unfortunate for him, he doesnt want to be injured. But he is the very definition of a waste of space to us. He is never fit to contribute, he cant go a week of a training post one injury before breaking down again.
  3. Harry Pickering out for similar reasons I’d wager (we’ll find out on that one tomorrow).
  4. It's either contractual or transfer add on / clause owed to Rangers. *purely speculation
  5. Why sell Hyam in the last few hours of the transfer window without any sort of replacement? In the general scheme of things I'd say that's a lot crazier than deciding you needed to move your top earner out despite having given him the Captaincy (if indeed that's what's happened with Cantwell)
  6. Think I agree with academy football, although the other side is for those lads who can take the workload it turns them into absolute machines Plenty of lads break down throughout their late teenage / early 20s. Unfortunately appears like Carter is one of them. Such a shame, he's a good defender and looked like he was going to be a real talent for us at one time. Maybe a step down to a lower level of football and a less onerous training regime is on the cards for him Calls of him being a waste of space are wide of the mark and frankly insulting for a chap who has worked at the club for over 10 years. Pathetic really
  7. I feel for Carter but i think this level of football and its demands are beyond what his body can cope with. Yet another of our academy products whose body breaks down constantly and i'll say it again, academy football from such a young age ruins as many kids as it makes. I also don't think modern training methods help were high level stats have to be hit all the time often over actual ability and what they can bring on match day. They get too many miles on the clock by the time they are 25, when they should be peaking they are creaking.
  8. You've just reminded me that Pears will be in goal for us tomorrow. Thanks for that.
  9. Hedges is in goal for us v Preston. Pears is up front with David May.
  10. Cantwell is with Player1st agency i think but last summer another agent became involved and was hawking him around. This came to light when he DM'd a fan by mistake. So it's not clear who did the Rovers deal but i think if you throw everything into the mix including our end of Suhail the penny grabber and Rudy the clown it's fair to assume it isn't very straightforwards.
  11. Carter needs to retire. An absolute waste of space. Absolutely unforgivable that we pushed Hyam out, didnt bother getting at least one defender in and then tried to pretend it was all part of a plan. Hard to see past a home win tomorrow especially with Hedges and a jet lagged Miller at the back.
  12. I know hes classed as "injured" but this seems really dodgy to me. What started as a knock seems to of gone on for at least a month. There never seems to be any real info on it. Any inside knowledge here? It feels like dejavu a bit from history gone by.
  13. FFS. No surprise on Carter but I thought we might get at least a handful of games out of him as he made the bench for the Derby game. Managed to pick up what must be at least a reasonably serious injury, as he has no return timeframe, during the 2 week international break. The lad is made of glass. We are constantly reminded of why every Rovers fan though the last minute sale of Hyam was a disaster wating to happen and here we are with just 2 fit centre backs vying for 3 places. Abysmal planning. Truly abysmal. He'd better not be sticking Hedges at fucking centre back again, blokes a clown (Ismael)
  14. Today
  15. Just not a serious football club… yet they expect fans to cough up as if it was one.
  16. He took a pay cut to come to us. He's played alright in the Championship for a season or so. I don't think there's any doubt some club would offer him more money than we're paying.
  17. What about Baradji? On bench? Starting? Captain?
  18. That's Cantwell off, as many of us suspected. As for Carter, f*ck me. We've finally found a player who surpasses Grella as an all timer sicknote. But final mention to the masterminds that are Venkys, Pasha and Rudy. The decision to sell Hyam on the final day of the window without bringing in a replacement. I'm just speechless.
  19. It's getting to the point with me that I'd cut my losses with Carter and get rid of him. I rate him as a player but his unreliability supersedes that by a country mile. It's almost like a competition between him and Wharton to see who can be unavailable the most. 😁 But somewhere inside me I wonder if the managers cryptic comments about Carter are rankling with him. Expect Mr Aloof then to play Hedges as a left sided centre back as he is more equipped (using Mr Aloofs Derby rationale) to deal with Nobbers aeriel threat. I feel it's going to be a long night.
  20. How can you be positive about? Why didn't it happen when he was leaving Rangers?
  21. According to Ismael.... Hayden Carter has suffered a new injury and will be out for a while. Cantwell still not "ready". What a shocker.
  22. Yeah I can sort of appreciate that there maybe is an argument there to suggest that Scholes has been overrated and overhyped post retirement. I dont agree with it but theres a discussion there. To suggest that Wharton is better is clearly a new account on here to cause a splash. No way does anyone believe that.
  23. This is one of the dumber arguments that has been used on here.
  24. Again, shows the support is there....just need this Club to stop being Lions led by utter Donkeys.
