  1. Past hour
  2. Oh I don't know. They were a struggling Championship club when he turned up 10 years ago and still are. We were a top 10 Premier League club when our lot took over and look where we are now. Granted they are having all sorts of issues at the moment but I expect they will be rid of him and under better ownership in the not-too-distant future whilst our owners continue to leave us to decay.
  3. Yea hibs manager said it’s nothing too serious and he’s back out on the pitch already - Nixon 2 months was well off the mark who’d have guessed
  4. Hopefully he’ll be as good as our last Aussie full back 🙂
  5. So so weird...I have YouTube on as I'm scrolling down here, and an ad was playing as I got to this...a Fosters ad!
  6. Interview with Hibs manager 3 days ago says it's a couple of weeks...But yeh probably end of September before we see him up to speed.
  7. Isnt he injured? Which seems to be a requirement when we try to sign players at the moment.
  8. £750,000 plus extras apparently, good deal if so.
  9. Lewis Miller, 750k according to Nixon. Sounds like good value - although clearly won’t be same standard as Brittain. Any Scots know much about him?
  10. Is it just me or do potential fees seem to be getting leaked more often this window?
  11. I hope you let their tyres down as an appropriate gesture on your way out, to give them an exciting journey home. It is high time some of these nuovo lumpen petit bourgoisie pillocks were instructed to stuff socks in their mouths before uttering any simpering drivel like that to good folk like you.
  12. Lewis Miller is the Aussie apparently - Fee approx £1.5m and can play RB and RCB - big, powerful and highly rated. Seems a good signing if it happens.
  13. Miller, who is out for two months.
  14. Thought he was injured 😂 any players on their last year currently injured...You are not safe.
  15. More likely Fraser Foster allowing hair transplant boy to leave😃
  16. A manager of mine once told me (with a straight face) that being made redundant at 45, having not long moved house to take the job, was “an exciting opportunity for me…”
  17. Improving isn’t the goal. Cost cutting is the prime objective…hopefully whilst avoiding relegation. But…
  18. He’s just been mentioned on Guardian Weekly podcast as one to watch…
  19. There aren’t many lower division clubs that break even…our role model now therefore is possibly Rotherham Utd. Roll up…buy your season tickets now…
  20. Just been reading about Sheffield Wednesday, on 20th December 2024 with no notice their early bird season tickets went on sale and they had until 4th January 2025 to buy before the prices went up. The cheapest ticket was £460 but the rest at least £570. Currently in their South stand it is £701 for a season ticket. Some of their games this season the cheapest matchday price is £45. One of their stands has now been shut down through lack of upkeep. 17 players have left this summer, no arrivals. . Their owner is probably worse than ours ......... just.
  21. I made a breakdown of the numbers earlier in this thread regarding wage cuts. My figures are based on a few assumptions but I think it's fair to say the wages were slashed in the region of 100K pounds per week at least. We don't know if the transfer fees were paid upfront in full or if they're made in instalments but nothing suggests that the entirety of these payments couldn't have been made directly as a result of said wage cuts. It's entirely possible that a player like McLoughlin commanded a decent sign-on fee but the other three are young players with less experience and coming from smaller clubs than ours relatively speaking. We are looking in the bargain basement for players on the cheap and desperate for a move. Hull are under a transfer embargo and Kortrijk got relegated. Baradji, who we are after, got relegated with Yverdon Sport as well. Don't think it's all a coincidence.
  22. What a preposterous notion! That will never be sustainable 😉
  23. According to pretty much all sources reporting the Brittain to boro move, they are all saying it’s his preferred destination. And of course that would make sense also Derby aren’t going to pay near 4million no chance
