  1. Past hour
  2. Chansiri is at least prepared to engage with the Press and Supporter groups...what the feck have we got other than complete silence?
  3. Bullshit and you know it is πŸ˜‰ He never applied for the Preston Job either, more nonsence.
  4. I wonder how far away we are from this? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/jun/28/sheffield-wednesday-financial-crisis-football-championship-dejphon-chansiri
  5. Yep it wasn't the fans or lack of them, it wasn't to be closer to home although no doubt that was a handy bonus, it wasn't the group of players they loved him and he loved them. So i wonder what it was ?
  6. So if the club said we are aligned with your ambitions and within reason we will provide the backing trying to achieve those ambitions then they didn't, there were basically lied to.
  7. Shows how intolerable it must have been working for the 3 stooges. What manager worth his salt would actually want to bob along indefinitely, never aiming for or achieving any success, but maybe developing and selling on a player or two if we're lucky?
  8. I am told he even applied for the Plymouth job when Rooney left - if correct, and the source is a respected journalist, that does not align to moving for family reasons!
  9. Eustace came out within days of moving there seeing that it had been claimed that he moved for those reasons, and that it wasn't true.
  10. I know we get the "it's not 1995 anymore" jibes thrown our way occasionally by opposing fans, the rather strange section of our support who are still supportive of Venky's or Tony Mowbray, but I disagree strongly we should play down the Jack Walker era. With all due respect to winning the League in 1911 and 1913 the 1995 Title win is probably the jewel in the crown of our illustrious history and should be celebrated as such. That said, we all know that the Footballing Authorities have shifted the goalposts since Jack's time in order to preserve the status quo for the biggest Clubs and prevent smaller ones from realistically competing for the top honours but with astute management and proper support from fully invested owners there is no real reason why we couldn't one day be a well run Premier League Club along the lines of Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton, Fulham etc. Whilst we had a financial advantage for a short time back in Jack's day, that was no absolute guarantee of success, he could quite easily have chucked a load of money at it and not got anywhere. It was all about getting the right people in on and off the pitch and creating the right environment for them to succeed. Financial advantage or not, what he achieved was phenomenal and is something to be celebrated not played down. It's a beacon of hope to the sorts of things that can actually be achieved if you get things right.
  11. The halved sleeves can be changed every now and again no bother but if the halves are not reversed on the back then it isn't a Rovers shirt.
  12. Well not Eustace he wanted to move closer to his family by all accounts. That’s what he has said in all his interviews Iv stated many times on this forum if your taking the rovers job you should have done your research……..the transfer failings / the excuses / the lies / the finances is all there in the public eye and even for a month JDT played it out publicly. So knowing this information and taking the rovers job that’s on them (lies should never be told but it happens often)
  13. That still doesn't change the fact that it's a load of shit. American sports are a complete pile of wank and their coverage of them is even worse. Won't be long until we get the five minutes multiball.
  14. of course they were lied to ,jdt over the budget (which they took away in his second season) and eustace over the transfer policy, both of them would have stayed if the club was normal and well run
  15. I don't think they were lied to, I just don't think the coaches and club were aligned properly, not helped by constantly changing staff behind the scenes.
  16. He's looking a lot better than when I last saw him.
  17. My tickets for the Accrington game came yesterday. Not long now before we get to see all our new signings.
  18. Sense and Rovers in the same article ? That’s not something you see very often.
  19. Today
  20. As he ambles over there, running like he's carrying a piano on his back...
  21. Both managers overdelivered and then were lied to. Both said "sod this for a game of soldiers".
  22. Because, (according to one or two accounts on here) they went back on promises made to Eustace after he kept us up and he even had to be talked out of leaving and sweetened up with some last minute transfer activity as early as last summer. The fault does not lie with either manager although I would say JDT threw the towel in in very disappointing fashion towards the end of his tenure.
  23. garrett to be loaned out next shirley
  24. duncan mcguireπŸ™‚the non signing american
  25. Bit like whatever that lad from Orlando was called.
  26. How on earth will it develop and grow the game? If might well a few more Sky subscriptions in Philadelphia but it adds absolutely nothing to the game. I want to watch a game of football not feel closer to the players. It achieves nothing in my view. VAR gets a lot right too but I agree with your wider point.
