Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

Can John Textor please enquire about Blackburn? -
Absolutely it is semantics, but for some reason it’s an obsession for IraC. This thread is littered with him trying to score points on the back of that word. It’s strange behaviour, not least because saying there’s a genuine impediment gives Venky’s an excuse for not funding the club and instead selling all the best players to keep the lights on. Very odd.
-
There’s an irony in you telling me that I don’t know what an impediment is, then telling me it’s a ‘condition’🥹 An impediment is a serious obstruction to doing something. That’s a literal definition. There is no serious obstruction to Venky’s sending Rovers money, just a choice. So when Waggott said there were no impediments, he was right. There are just ‘conditions’ that Venky’s have to agree to, which are in no way onerous. So as I’ve always said, it is Venkys choice whether they send the money. There is no impediment, legal or otherwise.

Nothing wrong with the one you used.

2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂
Tomphil2 replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Well all the indications are he did. This has all the hallmarks and exactly the same pattern as with Lenihen and Nyambe and it's clear when our home raised players have become established first teamers the people running the show do not want to pay them a salary reflecting that. Similar with Brereton, they papped on about the 'flex' big fee low wages because it was an investment sigining. Then they failed to renegotiate along the way to try and protect that investment so in the end he walks for nothing when he would certainly have commanded some sort of fee. This is the central reason this keeps happening i think it's rather obvious. -

I wouldn't consider them all to be first team players but as it stands you'll have Travis, Tronstad, Tavares, Montgomery and Forshaw all classed as 1st team players by the club, and the extra one you wanted to sign gives you 6. By Centre mid, I mean players who will play as one of the two, in a 4-2-3-1 formation which we usually play. Of course, Ismael might try and adopt a different formation for the coming season. Buckley & Garrett probably being moved on but currently they are part of the pre-season squad. -

I'm not one to argue the clubs point of view, but if he's only on 2K a week then its entirely of his own doing. He could have demanded a contract on much more money 18 months ago, but clearly thinks leaving on a free is going to be better for him in the long run - and is probably right. -

Sad if true if Dolan currently has a salary of merely 2K / week given he's a regular starter. Contract situation should've been sorted long time ago as he quickly broke into first team since arriving and has been playing over 1 700 minutes in the Championship for the past four seasons (according to Transfermarkt). Like you said, a weekly salary of around 10K / week is more than reasonable given his current status which could've enabled us getting a relatively large fee this summer instead of (probably) having him leave on a free. Club is getting punished for being cheap. -

Yeah, I get that and mentioned it in my post. But we need a MUCH larger squad. We need strength in depth in virtually every position, and I will not complain about any signing that is made. Yes, and we dropped out of the playoff places when they got injured. There's a solid chance that they be injured or suspended for a decent percentage of the upcoming season. We need more cover in central midifeld. Who are these 8 that we would consider real first team players? And are you throwing someone like Buckley in? Who is typically played further up the pitch? 'CM' can be a pretty broad category, but I don't think we have many viable options for players who can sit in front of the back four, break up play, turn, and get the ball moving forward. -

It's not that people don't want good back-ups, it is a lack of faith in the owners/Suhail/Gestede to create a situation where we actually have the depth we need. In an ideal world a sensible team would renew Trav and Tronstad, have De Keersmaecker as the 3rd 1st choice so to speak, Tavares as 4th option and I guess Forshaw as the 5th choice player-coach type. But it is so against the evidence of Venky's entire reign that they would seek to achieve this. -
I’d have gone with ad nauseam.

If Blackburn is playing a 3-5-2 or a 4-3-3 you need at least 5, maybe 6. Not some players that can play midfield and 3 other positions. You have to have specialists. - Today

It’s all semantics really isn’t it. I think the important thing is they shouldn’t be allowed to use these hindrances as an excuse for not funding the club properly. Yes, as you say, they exist, but no they do not prevent them from fulfilling their obligations to the club. If they don’t want to do this properly they should just fuck off.

This is what iv'e been saying all along so i'm glad someone else has mentioned it, true or not. Some have really odd takes on the wages this club is now paying they seem to assume everyone is on 10-20k a week and if someone rejects a contract offer or doesn't get one it's because they are a greedy so and so. They really haven't been paying attention to what has been going on over the last 3 years that has led us to this point. Even if he's on 5-7k a week Dolan has every right to ask for double that and i think he should be on a reasonable Championship salary it would be an investment. There is no way on earth at this club he went from £300 or so a week to 7-10k but it's ok football manager style estimates say he did 🤪 So if he was indeed offered a double his money deal 18 months ago and he said no then now we know why. -
I can see where @Forever Blue is coming from with this because, whilst there are restrictions, it is not outside of Venky’s’ control to meet them. Yes they’ve hoops to jump through but it is entirely within their hands as to whether they do so or not. Re the court permission, for reasons I’ve set out before, I don’t think they need this anymore unless they’re wanting to try and get the conditions changed as well.

That would give us 8 centre mids, you just can't keep that many players happy for 2 places. -
Just in case anyone is interested (oh and hello Elliott 🙋♂️😁) During the course of the court proceedings the Venkys attorney has filed 5 affidavits. The first was on the 20th June 2023 and I believe was in relation to them setting out their initial case for funds to be sent. The second was on the 15th November 2023 - 15 days after a court order gave them permission to send £11 million (subject, amongst other things, to such an affidavit being lodged confirming the intended use of the funds) The third was on the 2nd January 2024 - I cannot explain this one. The fourth was on the 11th March 2024 - just one day before a No Objection Certificate was issued (without a court date but presumably in light of the Venkys meeting the court’s conditions, including the filing of an affidavit). The final one was on the 16th June - 21 days after the court agreed to funds being sent with the bond reduced (but the affidavit requirement remaining). Anyone still reading??😁 In relation to the allotting of shares with regards to these monies… The first sum authorised by the court (before the requirement to file an affidavit was added) was £3.54 million on the 23rd June 2023. On 14th October 2024 £3.685 million of shares were allotted in Venkateshwara London a limited (the company which owns the training ground). The second sum authorised by the court was on 31st October 2023 for £11 Million. On the 19th March 2024 £11 million of shares were allotted in Venkys London Limited. I believe, but clearly can’t be certain, these two payments and share allotments are related. That would leave the £15 million from March 2024 and the more recent £4.85 million to be turned into shares at some stage** ** or perhaps it could be left as a debt owed by Venkys London to Venkys Hatcheries but I consider this unlikely. Well done to anyone who got this far 😁😁- I’m more than happy for people to point out where any assumptions I’ve made are (or could be) incorrect.
