For none X users So. Selvik's signing came off the back of him playing 100% minutes in the Band 5 Eliteserien in 2024. He signed for Udinese (Band 1) & was in 2 matchday squads. This granted him the 12 lge quality pts. Then comes the good bit. There is a clause in the regulations that reads: "If a Player is eligible for points in multiple columns of Table 2, including where: a. the Player has made an appearance in two domestic league competitions during the Reference Period; ... the Player shall be granted the higher of the points he is eligible for in Table 2. " This applied to Selvik. Therefore the 4 minutes pts he was eligible for in Band 5 added to his 12 Band 1 pts to give him 16 ✅️ They are now pulling the same trick with Kjerrumgaard. He played Band 6 last season, but 94% mins for Odense, that is enough for 2, added to the 12.. That is only 14. He needs 15 However, he won promotion with OB. Even in B6, winning promotion is enough for a single GBE pt 15 ✅️ Kjerrumgaard gets GBE, no problem. Except the regs say that a player should be registered for a matchday squad & I don't think that is planned -

No - business’s look for good investment opportunities - Rovers in its current state is not a good investment. there are a number of championship clubs who are better investments commercially. You’re not getting a mutli million pound business to sponsor Rovers currently - not happening. -

Interesting story on how Watford are exploiting multi club ownership (no shock here) In short, they sign good performers from EU countries where the league band is lower (like Scandinavia) to Udinese. Give them a few games (literally less than 5) on the bench for Udinese to move that band 5 league to a band 1 one. They (at market price for further work permit points) sign them from Udinese. -

On that basis, no-one would ever get involved with a football club or indeed any sort of business. "Nah, let's not bother. More trouble than it's worth". -

Ok - season tickets won’t get any better, even if they reduced the price I cannot see attendance rising by more then a few thousand. Only way this increases is by Venkys departing. Sponsors - which business wants to sponsor a mid table championship side with declining gates? We are not an attractive proposition for decent outside investment. -

Agreed. For fucks sake we finished 1 point off the play off position, and return everyone but Dolan and 2 journey men in Batth and Weiman. All of which in my mind are quite replaceable. There should be no need for a transition period. It should be full steam ahead. Instead we’re going to sell our right back and the entire center of the park. It was an easy summer, bring in a replacement for Batth, cover in center midfield and a winger or two. Bonus if you could get a #9. But now it’s all tits up -

What about anyone visiting the memorial garden? my late father, season ticket holder for many years, 60 cup final attendee, and the reason for my 55 yr love affair with the club (last 15 yrs not so much) has a plot in there which my 86 yr old mother visits regularly, and parks as close to it as she can, is she going to be billed every time she goes??

I think this is what a lot of people are missing when they say about staying in the Championship and it all being about selling that standard of player. If the financial issues and reduction are to continue then paying for a championship set up to produce Championship/Prem standard players and hinging everything on getting big money for them is going out the window. Cost reduction is king now and probably would be easier to balance in league 1 despite a big income drop the drop in wages, running costs of a reduced academy etc all on one site, excuse to sell the training ground finally, reduced staff, close more of the ground the list of downgrading is endless they could get away with. The pressure on producing a certain standard of player is also reduced meaning a team almost full of academy grads, frees and loans. Also the produce/polish to sell might not bring as big a fees but wouldn't need to in that league and turnover of producing and moving them in quantity could increase. Not saying they are intent on relegation but these things will do doubt have been discussed and to them it might not be the disaster it would be to fans. -

which is something we don`t have,if we do recruit them they leave sharpish,it`s downhill from here until the chicken butcherers **** off, luckily, our last 3 managers have been enlightened choices who kept us in the championship, this time, they`ve done a number on ismael and really ****** him over,i don`t expect us to be in the division next year -
I've just had an email from the club about the car park facilities at the ground. Looking at the parking info on the web site, it's £15 per game. FIFTEEN QUID!!!!! It also appears that they're going to charge on non-match days.... On non-match days, the car park will remain open to visitors. Non-match day rates apply and are displayed clearly on signage throughout the car park. Hopefully, complete madness hadn't taken over their minds, and we can still park for free for a while whilst we pop down to collect tickets, or visit the shop (assuming that it's actually open).

And presumably they could write these off by so much each year but don't ? Having one company owing the parent 130 million must somewhere somehow have some tax advantages against the profit the parent makes ? -

Brentford sold high and bought quality, not cheap tat. Some of the regular players in the side that got them promoted cost:- Raya £3mill Toney - £5mill Pinnock - £3mill Jansson - £5.75 mill Jensen - £3.25 mill Mbuemo - £6mill Canos - £2.5 Mill That’s £28.5 million spent on 7 of their starting 11 when they went up. They brought money in but invested it again by buying quality. I’m sure those players weren’t on peanuts either. They just had good , knowledgable football people running the show. -
Quite fitting for a man who literally has 'Talent ain't enough' tattooed on his neck, I suppose.
