  2. The former Rovers players scoring the goals in Brighton vs Liverpool. Elliott and Ayari with the goals.
  3. Or JDT, Eustace and Ismael really rated him alot more than others do on this forum
  4. Great post. Plus there are numerous players who have played a decent amount at this level, including for us (Lowe isnt the only one) who have done so whilst not necessarily warranting it.
  5. McFly - Where Did All The Guitars Go?
  6. back to all this standards bollocks, boring pal. So can fans make the wrong decisions.
  7. To be fair Chaddy, that would only tell us something if they were picking him over decent players. The reason why he has played so much has had far more to do with the him having no decent competition - not his fault admittedly - than him deserving the shirt through his own form. Hedges has aspects to his game which are fine. His attitude is good. He's is reasonably athletic and a decent size which is more than you can say for most of our other attackers, and that helps in and out of possession. Him being left footed can balance the team etc. But his attacking output is abysmal for an attacking player. Really poor. I don't hate the idea of keeping him as a squaddie, but there will have been players in his position with as many goal involvements in a single game last season as Hedges managed in 42. Not acceptable I'm afraid.
  8. Correct. I do wonder if Hedges was angling for a bit of a payrise, as we've been unable to agree terms on a new contract with him? Figured a new contract, on the same terms would have been a pretty straightforward new contract signing for both parties.
  9. Hatred? Dont be a child. I just am not keen on substandard players playing for the club. It comes down to standards. We have had years of cost cutting so we havent had much choice but to play him. Everyone has been calling for us to sign pacy wingers for ages and our constant inability to do that has made those calls a running joke. Plus managers can make wrong decisions. Jason Lowe must have been a good Championship midfielder considering how he kept getting picked.
  10. That doesnt really make sense. Any potential fee would have minimal anyway and you then risk him staying or having to subsidise his wage, if he even would have considered a new deal.
  11. 2 out of his 3 contributions for the season? Well done mate.
  12. hopefully the judge will have a hangover, be in a foul mood ,sentence them all to jail and have their assets liquidated😁
  13. Buffalo Springfield - Expecting to Fly
  14. iv`e never seen a more lazy footballer in all my years watching the game,he literally has no assets whatsoever
  15. Your hatred for Hedges which I think is clear to see is baffling. 3 head coaches had mostly picked him as a regular which tell you alot and maybe they see what you can't or won't see was the pass to Ohashi to score the winner at Luton an easy one or the pass to Woodrow at Sunderland for Dolan's winner?
  16. what the issue with given Weimann a new deal? he is goal threat, can play a different attacking positions. another good squad player option
  17. To be fair, I was going to say the first goal against Watford, said at the time, Hedges did well there.
  18. Personally see it as cost cutting, they could have triggered an extension and tried to sell for money, yet letting him leave for free.
  19. At least they have seen the obvious in Vale. Not good enough by a long way.
  20. Markanday shouldn't have a problem finding a club in league 1/2. Did well at Chesterfield and not breaking into a team fighting for promotion in league 1 doesn't necessarily mean he can't cut it at that level. Surprised we didn't try getting Β£100k or so for him.
  21. Hang on a minute, thought Markanday, as the better player, was going to be the Dolan replacement?
  22. Today
  23. 100%. Don't care what anyone does, but I'd still poke at my friends if they'd 'diehard' supporters of one club but throw on a shirt from another in the same country. My nephew lives in London, 'supports' City, but also has a soft spot for United, Liverpool, and Arsenal...πŸ™„ Taking him to watch Portsmouth v Rovers this season didn't do a lot to convert him.
  24. I suspect Weimann’s new contract will be a reduced-wage token gesture.
