  2. We have 3 CBs, we simply do not have the option of playing 3 at the back. We've hamstrung ourselves. Can't see a win at Watford. Maybe a draw.
  3. He is shite. But mental to get rid outside our window
  4. The lights are on, but no-one is at home.
  5. We aren't winning this one either GK: Toth DC: Carter DC: Wharton DC: Miller LWB: Morishita RWB: Alesiou MC: Trondstadt MC: Cantwell MC: Anyone other than Tavares ST: Ohashi ST: Gudjohnsen I wonder if Hedges could do a job in the middle?
  6. ok, how about this one then? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68301522 It is obviously newsworthy, any attempt to pretend it is not, is misguided It can also be spin, and probably is... member Rudy & Jordan playing up front together? But still newsworthy nonetheless
  7. With transfer window now closed, I decided to summarize our activities this 'exciting' summer: Ins: Gudjohnsen - £ 1.9 million Morishita - £ 1.8 million Tavares - £ 1.7 million Henriksson - £ 750 K Miller - £ 750 K De Neve - £ 650 K Alebiosu - £ 500 K McLoughlin - £ 500 K Baradji - Loan Gardner-Hickman - Loan Total transfer expenditure: £ 8.55 million Outs: Hyam - £ 2.7 million Buckley - £ 1 million JRC - £ 750 K Travis - £ 3 million (reportedly) Brittain - £ 3.5 million (reportedly) Leonard - £ 1 million (reportedly) Dolan, Batth, Weimann, Markanday - all free transfers Total transfer income: £ 11.95 million Balance: + £ 3.4 million As usual, the owners refuse to put any money into the transfer budget, hence our dependency on selling players for a fee and getting rid of wages before making any purchases. Number of minutes in Championship from season 2024-25 added to the squad: 3 215 (1 player) Number of minutes in Championship from season 2024-25 removed from the squad: 19 870 (9 players) Stats comparison on incomings from season 2024-25 (sources: fotmob.com, globalfootballrankings.com). Anything below 6.5 is considered below average for the league: Gudjohnsen: 6.5 (32 matches / 1 515 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 6 Morishita: 7.0 (31 matches / 2 371 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 9 Tavares: 6.4 (29 matches / 1293 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 8 Henriksson (2024): 7.1 (26 matches / 1 574 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 14 Miller: 7.2 (32 matches / 2 057 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 21 De Neve: 6.6 (30 matches / 1 936 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 6 Alebiosu; with St Mirren: 7.0 (13 matches / 993 minutes), with Kortrijk: 6.5 (13 matches / 612 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 21 / 6 McLoughlin: 7.0 (37 matches / 3 215 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 7 Baradji: 7.4 (27 matches / 2 104 minutes). League ranking (UEFA): 18 Stats comparison on outgoings from season 2024-25 (source: fotmob.com): Hyam: 7.0 (46 matches / 4 140 minutes). Note: played every single minute last season Buckley: 6.7 (23 matches / 847 minutes) JRC: 6.6 (29 matches / 1 237 minutes) Travis: 7.0 (38 matches / 3 225 minutes) Brittain: 7.2 (33 matches / 2 659 minutes) Leonard: 6.1 (9 matches / 140 minutes) Dolan: 7.0 (44 matches / 3 202 minutes) Batth: 7.0 (37 matches / 3 011 minutes) Weimann: 6.7 (30 matches / 1 409 minutes) Notable players who performed mostly well last season and contributed to our seventh-placed finish: Hyam, Travis, Brittain, Dolan and Batth. Regarding the incomings, one could argue that based on above stats, players like McLoughlin and Morishita are most likely to perform well given their relative high ratings (7.0) while playing in a top ten league in Europe. Players like Gudjohnsen, Tavares and De Neve are gambles given they didn't show anything last season. Baradji, Henriksson, Alebiosu and Miller performed well but in lower-ranked leagues and are thus question marks as to whether they can make the step up to Championship. Alebiosu looks good so far at least despite lacking a bit of an end product when compared to Brittain. Summary: club is taking a gamble on foreign players to replace a vast amount of Championship experience. We have lost our entire back four from last season (Beck included) which poses a big risk defensively. Team will probably struggle to find any rhythm at the beginning and it will take some time to integrate all players, getting them accustomed to the tactics and adapt to the league. By the looks of it, we're gonna need to win some matches the 'ugly' way to make sure we aren't dragged into a relegation fight this season.
  8. Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs - Red Hot
  9. Except these news could be interesting since it’s a player at the club retiring and taking up a new role. In Rovers case it was obly about the role. For me, seeing Gestede shaking hands with Rhodes just feels like spin—trying to frame it as some kind of partnership reunion. But hey, if others find that news exciting, who am I to say its not. Just my opinion.
  10. Possible live stream of Iceland game, Gudjohnsen starts https://www.cnfsports.com/live/World-Cup-Qualification-South-America/Iceland-vs-Azerbaijan/1757162561097 edit - it appears you have to pay But this works http://www.fawanews.sc/Iceland vs Azerbaijan.html
  11. He will get games - remember Adam didn’t play for the most of the first part of the season - the coaches won’t just play tyjon for the sake of it but the clubs plan is to sell our youth and to do that they need some games so he will just give it time

  13. Has anyone done a welfare check on Chaddy?
  14. Just got in and read some of the stuff above concerning ownership, Mr "Pasha" the "advisor" and Venkys lack of interest. Is the speculation that he is part owner backed by the Venkys. Would explain a lot. Just asking, I'veno idea.
  15. The 'What Now?' Show - It Can't Go On Like This Sadly, I think it can and will.
  16. JBiz Thinking a little more about our ‘debate.’ We both agree on SWAG. We both agree Pasha is the main spring of problems (as well as an agency). We disagree on RG. You suggest (I think) that RG doing his best and needs time –it’s down to Pasha. I think I have seen enough (even before he arrived) to have made my criticism I did above. And it is because, (amongst all the other negative stuff people have posted) I think that the relationship between RG and Pasha is not just one way (ie Pasha as the autocrat and RG/SWAG as the enforcer just carrying out orders). I don’t think you can excuse RG (like SWAG before him) of just being a puppet who does what he is told for 2 reasons: 1 I think he sold the idea/dream of the wage structure to Pasha 2 the element of pettiness and aggression in carrying out the new plan The other difference is that you are not prepared to believe (again, I think) some of the stuff suggested by glen and others as you regard it as tittle tattle. On balance, I am. Edit Perhaps, putting it another way - I'm not too keen on this idea that it's all down to Pasha (and don't think for a minute this argument is excusing him) and everyone else is just doing as they are told, carrying out orders. That could be seen as an excuse to let off people like SWAG (I know you haven't though!) or RG or VI. I guess you'll have your moment though if we end up in the top half - the new putsch or alignment will have been seen to work. 😉
  17. Think you are right about the Raos (although of course it begs the question as to why they don't just send a bit of that our way other than the supposed 10m a year). But the Raos aren't interested are they and are not told everything. Pasha and cronies want to keep the plates spinning to earn those fees.
  18. These Players live on a different Planet from the rest of us...the remuneration is simply out of this World.
  19. Gueye isn’t leaving due to performances it’s simply cost cutting that is it, there’s no replacement lined up.. Gueye is more bad than good but he’s an option and got 12 G/A last season. More awful planning from the club and no replacement, they’ve seen people want him sold and probably thought it was an opportunity to save more money.
  20. That almost sounds like “badly advised” to me…. 😂
  21. It isn't them it's the men in the middle benefiting constantly from their lack of interest and cack handed approach and they don't care. Basically third parties run this club for them by way of shadowman and his mates and every now and then they seem to get carte blanche. Probably Waggot kept a bit of a lid on it but that doesn't mean he himself and his pals didn't benefit also. That's football it's a murky world and when you have a 3 thousand mile or whatever it is void it becomes easy for the right people to sit in it.
  22. Yea sure, I mean if your businesses combined are earning you 500m annually, you definitely need that 10% a month of the probable £1k a week Oldham are paying us for a loanee. Maybe the kindred souls of BRFCS should get rid of the tin foil.
  23. At some point someone has to pay the piper - to the tune of £200m and counting, and the kickbacks from every contract and sale wouldn't pay for a single one of their extravagant parties.
  24. ding ding ding ding ...... finally a kindred soul.. ppl keep asking what do venky's get owning us ......this is thier game ... not thier money running the show while earning kickbacks on every contract and sale... penny pinching billionaires and gang
