  2. So Nixon says 'substantial' six figure bid rejected for the Barnsley lad. I know he's partly employed to put a shine on all things Rovers under the rotten regime but is there such thing as a a 'substantial' six figure bid in modern day Championship terms? The most it could possibly be is £999,999 which would not be a substantial sum for a Championship football club, especially not one used to selling players for 10x that amount every transfer window.
  3. But its a club signing not his choice of signing by reading that article.
  4. Ricky, The past is the past. Nothing we can do about that. No-one has said everything is all roses. Reading things that aren't being said by myself the biggest clue was last week when Ismael revealed he had spoken to the owners on the phone, Neither JDT and Eustace did that. I see that as a key difference between our situation now and then. Nicko has posted a story we have a bid rejected for Reyes Clearly who played for Barnsley and can play anywhere across the front line. He also said we want Ben Gibson. All the best for New Year Ricky

  6. Is Eustace being linked with other clubs yet?
  7. Set to make their first signing - yet Sanderson is their first signing as stated above he hasn’t signed or been made official will be an interesting one a lot of Derby fans stating it’s a club signing not a Eustace one - we’ve seen that before

  9. Fraulo by all accounts isn’t a Eustace signing - he also hasn’t signed
  10. You don’t help yourself Chaddy mate. All the evidence points to us being pretty abysmal when it comes to January windows, so much so that it’s basically led to our last two managers leaving. Yet because Nicko has said we’re getting a bid in for a winger (a position which we don’t actually use) you think it’s all roses. I do wonder if VI is using the media to push the board a bit. He’s aware that he is trying to compete with a bang average squad and knows he needs more quality. He’s playing a dangerous game trying to push this lot into actually signing someone decent. He’ll be out of the door by mid February.
  11. even if its not, there is nothing to stop deals being done and announced ahead of time Case in point....
  12. He gets the bit of the corporation he runs - allegedly - on the front of the shirts and flashed around the stadium and on tv etc. His mates run the show and no doubt often have to follow his and his sons whims as well as deal with certain agency 'advisers'. Above that sits Mr & Mrs who obviously control the level of budget allowed but otherwise probably take no notice of anything. Third wheel is still confused from 2012 and probably doesn't even know they still own it. So yeah i'd say he IS the main problem and if anyone is benefiting from it it's him and his pals, also if anyone has anything to hide ..it's him and his pals imo.
  13. Remember....without Venkys we'd 'Do a Derby'. Sounds good to me.
  14. danish midfielder fraulo also joins from borussia muenchengladbach, eustace not hanging around
  15. You have seen the Nixon story, gets plenty correct. If you don't want to believe him then fine.
  16. Derby acting quick. Sanderson joins on a permanent deal.
  17. Sick of hearing that and the window hasnt opened yet.
  18. Nobody who has 200 million knocking about will buy us. Will not happen.

  20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cp9jr79m4v2o Piece on Derby under Eustace. A club making progress.
  21. Given how good Alebiosu has been I suspect they will be encouraged to spend any money on younger players with resale potential. The profit they get from Alebiosu is likely to offset any losses made by signing a few duds like De Neve and Tavares. Reyes Cleary would fit this model and it sounds like he has decent potential. I wonder if we will go back in the Bailey Cadamarteri at Sheffield Wednesday for similar reasons. I have no issues with signing promising youngsters, but I do worry that our current predicament is crying out for Championship experience and in terms of helping us avoid relegation I sense the money would be better spent on this. Of course ideally we would spend on both, but that's not going to happen.
  22. Think we are more likely to sign players NOT wanted by their championship clubs
  23. If we sign someone, who is wanted by other championship clubs, I will be amazed!
