Apparently there is a story about Hull having to play the club cat against us because of an injury crisis behind a paywall somewhere... -
Not surprised he is more suited to La Liga than the Championship although his tricks are perhaps more likely to result in a career ending tackle cum gbh assault. At least Ramos has retired...

You stick your right leg in, your right leg out, trip a Brum defender and you shake it all about.

The Aynsley Pears depreciation thread.
Upside Down replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
When it comes to shot stopping and quick reaction saves Pears is pretty good. That's his strength. Where he's really really poor is decision making, positioning and ability to read things as they unfold. Last season our defence was rock solid and took a lot of the decision making away from him so that all ge really had to do was make the odd save, which he did well. When the defence started to pick up injuries he was left mith more to do and it all turned to custard. Personally, after that Sheffield Wednesday game I was completely done with him. He nearly got the club relegated single handedly with his sheer incompetence. - Yesterday

Hes an 18 year old who in his first senior game made an error as bad as youll see leading to a goal 4 minutes in, 2 minutes after letting a shot go under him. He also got fortunate again spilling a simple shot back into danger. Pears is poor but you have lost all sense of balance with him. He is still an actual senior goalkeeper who is a far safer bet than Michalski. He is very much a bad number 2 keeper, as he is today, at this level. -

The two most recent I was referring to. It seems a running theme with venky fc to have a shit goalkeeper. -

That would be my take on it. They've tried to pin racism on our fans before ie we hate Venkys because they are Indian. We don't, we hate them for what they truly are. -

I think it was reported we were paying £10k p.w. at the time but your point is still perfectly valid, it was ridiculous. -

Ian Poveda the lad they sign on loan from Leeds for 12 months for 20 grand a week then fail to insert any clause relating to what happens if he gets injured. He does, so he has to go back to Leeds for treatment as per contract but Rovers still have to pay 20k a week for a year ! Incompetence doesn't even begin to cover it and that was under Venus and Mowbrays watch. No wonder we never went anywhere under them i dread to think what money was spaffed on loans and wages for next to nothing in return. -

In fairness, his regular howlers and general incompetence at goalkeeping probably played a part. Just his error in the Sheffield Weds home game alone; you wouldn't expect a non-league GK to do that. I like to believe that VI came in, assessed what he saw and quickly came to the realisation that he had to get the waste of space out of the building as quickly as possible. An England Youth GK is not a bad number 2, on balance. -

Predictions: - Hull scores first, & last; - wins will be few & far between this season; - Rovers lose at least 2 more players who transfer out; - the players who replace them, aren’t as good; - this is all before we get our typical 7 or 8 debilitating injuries to 1st teamers. -

Thanks. Appalling behaviour. Where is the podcast? -
Cheers Does make me wonder what their angle is. Removing the guarantee would certainly make it harder to claim the court case prevents correct funding of the club, which they seem to have been doing so far (unless they have next to no liquidity the guarantee ought not to present an issue to billionaires). I guess it could just be spite/pride, and unwillingness to pay into a guarantee if they are already in dispute with the bank Do we know does the Indian Gov is block transfer of funds for investment in playing staff (i.e. transfer fees), and only allow "day-to-day" costs to be serviced as part of the 'NOCs'? Given the investigation is into the mis-use of investment funds could this be part of the issue? A fear that "transfer money" would be used in other ways or siphoned to agents?

the last meeting of the fan group coalition and the rovers hierarchy ended in acrimony and the club attempted to disguise the minutes of the meeting and put out a censored version of it,couple of the fans group coalition wer`nt having any of it(fair play to them) and in a podcast it was explained what really went on,the podcast is actually on the this forum.makes an interesting listen,it illustrates what the fans are up against, the club behind the scenes is a toxic mix of poison.apathy and incompetence -
