  2. Wolves 1 nil down to dingles
  3. Looks about 6-700 Dingles at Molineux...ppfftt!
  4. Saturday 3pm kick off. Not on TV. That hardocre of fans they are now just trying to screw every penny out of is even dwindling.
  5. supposedly doing very well on loan Its a point I have made plenty recently that you got to allow new players time to settle and imagine yourself moving to a new country where you know nobody mainly. on Tronstad, I think its was more down to fatigue of 3 games in 7 days Both are performing and making chances for our front line.
  6. Great effort by Wednesday fans. We live in hope our lot stop putting the bare minimum in, then we can step up as a fanbase and move this club forward.
  7. Re: Carter- I agree he could help us- if healthy. But, he’s out of order about 2/3 of the time. that isn’t helpful.
  8. I would be looking to sign 1 more striker(whilst selling Gueye) and either recalling O'Riordan or buying another centre back plus I would look at another right wing back player in January. Maybe more but decide later in the year Gudjohnsen's improved came from the start of the second half, his link up better, hold up play and he got the chance he want and got the winner, throughly delighted for him, His confidence will be through the roof now on your comment on the back 3 balance, changing so much is massive part that from last season but developing partnership takes time, Balance looks fine for me and Wharton wouldn't push up so much like McLoughlin did second half. Why aren't you having Miller? same as I did 2 games ago when I answered the same bloody question RF99, are you going to ask me every game now? he got his subs right yesterday and sticking with 3 at the back plus half time kick up the arse clearly worked given we won. He has alot to prove yet here and wins is what is need from him and the players. I have told you MORE than once when I will give my view whether its time for a change post Derby game.
  9. Still was definitely considered a bright prospect before joining Southampton. Huge risk to hire a 32-year-old, though. Rohl and McKenna were 34 & 35 respectively when they joined Sheff Weds and Ipswich, and were at the time considered young and risky appointments. That's at clubs with players who would have been on a much more modest wage than the likes of Southampton. Still had left Reims by mutual consent after a dismal end to the 23/24 season and at Lens finished one place lower than the previous season - debateable that such performance in Ligue 1 merits a three-year deal at a club just relegated from the PL. Not complaining mind - could be a decision that helps us keep our heads above water come the season's end, although sadly I imagine he won't last too much longer.
  10. player manager maybe Although I think that's another exaggerated one, he had Rovers in a football manager save once, hardly his fave football manager team. He has also managed Arsenal & Newcastle apparently
  11. They're all bookmarked as developed assets to sell - that was the entire point of the summer transfer window.
  12. To me the much more interesting football manager trivia is that we are Antoine Griezmann's favourite football manager team. Wonder if he fancies a loan in Jan!
  13. Supporters will be able to drink alcohol in their seats for the Legends match. Has anyone seen this announced by the club yet? https://www.lancs.live/news/lancashire-news/blackburn-rovers-ewood-park-alcohol-32730810
  14. yes, that is the story, but that story is a little exaggerated The below is a closer to reality, from his wiki Still has stated that playing the Football Manager and Championship Manager video game series helped him to decide to switch focus from playing at the age of 17, and move to England to start studying to become a coach at Myerscough College in Preston
  15. I think he joined a french team (Reims maybe) as assistant then caretaker without having the qualifications. They didn't lose for about 10 on the bounce so they kept paying the fine. He's joked about playing football manager growing up but unsure if he is that 'data-y' - he might just be ginger without being a nerd
  16. Is Will Still the lad that got his break from being good at data and championship manager or something like that?
  17. Today
  18. Agree on O'Riordan. Feels strange that he's hardly had a look in at Rovers, but unless we're planning to splash some cash in January (doubtful) then recalling him in January is essential. Even then I'd be tempted to bring in a CB on loan as well if Ismael wants to persist with 3 CB's. Seen the script with Toth before. They likely won't give him what he wants. Tronstad is certainly not performing as he was last season. I suspect its due to a multitude of reasons...some of which may be personal to him and his family. We forget footballers are human beings sometimes. His performances last season give him enough credit in the bank for me, but its sad knowing that he's likely leaving at the end of the season and he probably already knows it. You can appear fine on the outside celebrating a win like he was yesterday, but who knows what's going through his head. De Neve and Hedges are players that will never pull up any trees, but they're hard workers for sure. You do need players like that around the squad, but Rovers problem is they're reliant on them and there isn't enough technical quality to balance things out. Pleased to see De Neve has improved a touch though.
  19. It would not be a surprise at all if Manning and Still both lost their jobs this week. I suspect a Championship job came too soon for Still. Certainly Southampton as well given their record for the last 12 months, it's very hard to turn a ship like that around. As for Ismael...well regardless of yesterday's win I still think he is out of his depth.
  20. I would be recalling O'Riordan in January. If not we need another centre back signing. Toth deserved a new contract and wage rise. Get on with it Gestede Or maybe given that he has played 3 games in a week he is just tired. He is deffo interested and if you watched him post game his reaction to Gudjohnsen its shows he is interested Its a great point but thought Hedges did very well yesterday there. Both playing well
  21. A lot of managers who you'd think will likely already be very concerned, despite it being quite early in the season. Marti Cifuentes is seeing things go from average to outright poor at Leicester. They have us next so will likely get some reprieve, but it's been a rough start for a team expected to go straight back up. Javi Gracia has lost two of his first three matches, so he'll soon be given the chop at Watford, one imagines. I only partially kid. Birmingham's owners may have expected a better start, considering the money spent there. Really inconsistent form for them so far. It remains to be seen how much time Brady and co are willing to give before deciding to change things. It's possible they'll have learned from their first season the dangers of being trigger-happy. Wrexham kind of similar to Brum, but I get the feeling they'll have patience with Parkinson for now. I don't think there's quite the same level of expectation there, owing to Wrexham's smaller overall stature. I assume consolidation would be enough for them, this season at least. Will Still has had an awful start at Southampton, and without much history in his CV to point to, he might be vulnerable to a swift sacking. If a team had finished 7th the season before and was now struggling at the wrong end of the table you'd assume their manager would have concerns over his job. Not at Rovers though, so not even going to bother including Ismael. Wilder will obviously be given time at Sheff Utd but it hasn't exactly been the start he'd have wanted. Probably the most concerning thing there is that they still can't at least save a point, even if they're unable to win. It's three points or nothing. Liam Manning - surely must be under pressure? That Norwich team should not be 23rd. I read recently that the players are still "very happy" with Manning and "really enjoying" things. I am not sure that's what I would want to hear as a Norwich fan right now.
  22. My son watched it yesterday too, said it was very good, emotional at times. We are going midweek.
  23. I've had dead legs and at the time it doesn't really affect you. The day after was when soreness and stiffness appeared.
