  1. Past hour
  2. So we have to watch Gueye in a Rovers shirt again. Wonderful.
  3. Well that is the plan. Try to maintain or not lose too much overall quality while substantially cutting costs; alongside creating "saleable assets" for the future. It's a very very tricky plan to pull off. I will be very impressed with the recruitment team if we manage to steer clear of a relegation battle.
  4. Staying at home is a better night out.. There is nothing attractive about Blackburn town centre at night time, and those days are long consigned to history and a few memories.
  5. With all due respect Tugay to Hickman. This is what 15 years of venkys does to a club
  6. I remember coach trips coming to Blackburn for a night-out. Now I have been told that Darwen is a better night-out.
  7. Blackburn Rovers are worried about letting striker Makhtar Gueye leave - and may block a switch to Turkish side Kocealispor. The forward has been unsettled by his lack of game time and would welcome a chance to play with a transfer. However the loan switch is now unlikely as Rovers would be left with just two senior central forwards and young Igor Tyjon. Both of their first choice attackers will have international duty in the coming months to add to the risk. And Tyjon is also playing for England youth sides as he is regarded as the best young forward around. However he is yet to start a Championship match and it would be too much to have him as a regular sub who comes on to save the day.
  8. eh? what are you going on about now? I've never said he was the best in the league but one of the best which my comments says. The best one is Coventry's right back but Brittain is one of the best in the championship
  9. One for those who love squad numbers Taylor Gardner-Hickman is our new number 5, & Andri Gudjohnsen is 11 https://www.rovers.co.uk/teams
  10. β€˜Chelsea do not want to spend the money and then risk being snubbed by the Government’. Why don’t they just pay the standard compo figure then before taking their chances re the visa?? Very odd.
  11. Even Montgomery before O'Grady Macken who doesn't seem to be in the management's thoughts anymore.
  12. Which of course would make sense But if that is the case, then they should have said when. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/may/22/club-statement--steve-waggott/ And also, if he wasn't working his notice period, then who would be performing his role whilst he is on gardening leave As ever, communication & clarity from the club is 4th rate at best
  13. We have a history of those , see where he ends up , when fit ?
  14. We shouldn’t have to guess, they should have been clearer.
  15. Today
  16. I don't live in the town, but I worked in Blackburn as a youngster during my college years, went to Blackburn college and went out around Blackburn almost twice a week for drinks (do I ever miss Barzooka). I've visited twice in the past 12 months to see a contractor and left immediately afterwards. Sadly the town is a mirror of the club as it stands.
  17. Outside of Roberts and Bogle now both in prem dunne ranked highest in rbs standout performer and getting better won’t be at qpr much longer but he’s the overall picture is we will def miss Brittain
  18. Have a look at Blackburn Market to how badly the town is run. The bakers have just left and we are very soon to be left with only one butcher when Tom Woods goes to Colne High St at a rent of 70% less than he pays at the market. I come to Blackburn for 3 things: the butcher in the market; the fish stall in the market; and Rovers. I never come to Ewood anymore outside of a game as the club shop is never open at the times I can make it. To be honest Blackburn as a town and a council is a complete and utter mess. It is about time the Council started to see how they can make it easier for folk to attend Ewood Park rather than penalising them.
  19. I always assumed it was at the end of his notice period. I guess at his level he was on 6 months notice rather than 3.
  20. Roughly translated as look we can only really pick shirt sellers so get yourself to a higher profile club so the FA can sell more England shirts with your name on the back.
  21. Van Ewijk yes but jimmy dunne I don’t think he is and Pereira unfortunately for him is past his best due to injuries but was a top right back a few years ago
  22. 1000% the real problem lies at the feet of the owners, pasha and gestede and no manager can succeed under this regime but he’s seems a poor manager in my opinion. i also certainly won’t fall for the narratives from them I just don’t think he’s very good
  23. Country Joe And The Fish - Here I Go Again
  24. RE Pereira, he may be first choice now that James Justin is plying his trade at Leeds. Although Choudhury has been ok there. Pereira missed the first couple of games of the season, but did come off the bench in the 2 games  before the international break, so maybe given the couple of weeks before their next game, he will be back in the side then? Too early to say that he isn't their first choice if/when he is fully fit In terms of pedigree, I would have Pereira above Brittain, it depends if his body holds out and lets him get back to where he was
