  1. Past hour
  2. I'm sure Phillips is quite happy with his pay packet since that, in football, is what's important to him. This is such a distasteful "rule". As if the big boys needs more help rounding up (stealing) talent.
  3. Hinshelwood looked like a midfielder playing fullback.Fair play to him for playing in an unaccustomed position. Regarding Cresswell, he’s a very good stopper style centre half but I’m not sure he has the ball playing ability top Premier League clubs like in their centre halves. It’ ll be interesting to see if he signs for one. Quansah is a class act, if Liverpool had any sense they’d be holding on to him.
  4. Lee Carsley should have been given the full England job.
  5. Raise them to cock up their contracts and lose em for nowt.
  6. Livramento is a natural a right back who played sometimes at left back. Hinshelwood who played left back is centre midfielder by trade. Cresswell is being linked with PL clubs today. Quansah is off to Bayer Leverkusen
  7. I notice that another affidavit was submitted on Thursday and some 'documents' submitted on Friday. So it is not following the usual or expected pattern. Maybe the first affidavit was not accepted ? No official news from the club or evidence on companies house that funds have been received as recently. A job for @wilsdenrover to investigate ?
  8. Would the dressing-room interviews be carried out in the womens game as well ?
  9. Today
  10. A lot of people seem to think it would be a good thing for Rovers if we got £1 million+ as a sell on fee for Phillips I'm struggling to see any positive. It certainly won't provide a material benefit to Rovers.
  11. Nixon talking about Phillips being whored out again - this time to Sheffield United. Everyone could see it coming when he went to Spurs.
  12. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c33514nryy1 That's hate filled in my book 'son'...has no place in a Music festival.
  13. 80 people killed in Gaza yesterday trying to get food. . The majority of them will be civilians, women and children. But don’t get excited about that, get excited about some chanting at a pop festival !
  14. Hate filled rhetoric? Give your head a wobble son you're making yourself look like a complete turnip.
  15. We are relying on no competitors coming in for Kapuadi. Could be this summer’s De Lange. He seems to have good pedigree and if he’s interested in coming to us we need to get it sorted.
  16. Yes, right footed, right back, although has played left back on occasions (from memory mainly when Tripper has played right back)
  17. Mm, “ several clubs “. When did we last sign a player when “ several clubs “ were interested ? Rovers are a shambles behind the scenes at the moment, even the football dogs in the street know that. The only reason a player would come here instead of another club is for more money and that won’t be happening.
  18. Cameras in the dressing room? That'll go down well when we've just lost 2-0 to home on a Tuesday night in January. Designed purely for the supposed benefit of the Sky fraternity. Gimmickry nonsense.
  19. Nobody coming off during the game will give away much. It’s just the usual banal platitudes.
  20. I don’t think Cresswell is at that level yet but going off last nights Quansah could well be. Him and Anderson were the stand outs for me. I was disapointed with McAtee, he’s not in the game enough in my opinion. He hardly had a kick in the second half. The same applies to Elliot but he looked to be suffering from the after effects of the knee slide against the Dutch. He had huge ice pack on it when he came off. Stupid thing to do. Scott was looking decent until he got fouled out of the game. Livramento ? Is he a right back ? I thought he favoured the left side. The guy actually playing at left back reminded me of Pickering, steady but lacking pace.
  21. New ideas of innovations should only be done when there is a tangible benefit. I don't see any upside at all in this. Your view is your choice but for the majority of football supporters it's unnecessary and gimmicky.
  22. Anderson and Livramento should be in the next squad. As should Lewis Hall. Also Cresswell and Quansah will get England call ups. Both set for good moves this from reports
  23. Truly shocking that Kneecap and some other pillocks called Bob Vylan were allowed to politicise a Music event with hate filled retoric. The irony of their action's?... Young Isrealis were murdered in cold blood at a MUSIC FESTIVAL. Have those in the Glastonbury crowd no Consience/Brain's either? I was as ever enjoying the event coverage but that was horrible to hear about..that's me done with it.
  24. Agree on Kapaudi point. But you also need to created more chances in games whether its being abit more attacking or having more pace in team. Still need 4 or 5 in. Centre back and right winger are the main ones at the moment but we need some out who aren't going to regular starters or not willing to be number 2 all season
  25. Brilliant that they won it. What a good header by Rowe. Delighted for Carsley and those players. Come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Elliott Anderson should be in that next England squad along with Tino Livramento
  26. You witness the reaction of fans up and down England when 6 PL, 3 Italian and 3 Spanish tried to set up an European Super League Promotion and relegation is part and parcel of football Probably cos I open to new ideas and trying these things out. Plus I seen it for years in NBA players/head coaches during a game or showing locker room footage during Rugby league games or speaking to F1 team principles during F1 qualifying sessions and races. Other sports have done so why not football. Let's be honest it going a small bit of dressing room footage and nothing more probably about 10 to 15 seconds clips of what is happening in the dressing room and a couple of interviews with players who have been sub. Not that much of a change isn't it. Still the game can be stopped for a number of minutes, no communication to the fans. In International Rugby Union you can hear what the ref and VAR person are saying. So why can't Football do that
  27. It wasn't the football authorities in England who wanted VAR. The clubs wanted it and fund it. Had it not been for Covid it would have been in the Championship a few seasons ago. It has it's bad points but has also righted many wrongs which is the main purpose of it. Reading through these posts it appears that you are the only one who likes the idea of pitch side interviews and dressing room cameras. I think that ratio would be reflected throughout football as I believe the vast majority will see it for what it is - an unnecessary, superfluous sales gimmick.
