Unfortunately, I can imagine Tronstad's agent being quite active or desperate now. This is all due to Tronstad wanting to move closer to home, of course. Nothing to do with the Venky stooges. -

β Based on what he contributes to the team β Β£250 a week should just about do it then. Sorry, read Hyam as Hedges. I must get my cataracts done when I get back to the UK -

Just catching up on this. Pesky LT pay wall- what did Ismael say about Travis exactly? No surprise of course that Hyam is the latest one to have contract talks stall just a few weeks after Elliott and the LT helpfully announced on behalf of the Club that agreement on him was "close" to try and soften the blow of the news about Brittain's impending departure. Brittain, Dolan, Travis, Hyam. Almost a full set. HOUSE! -

Another thing to look at are the wages other teams are offering for players that aren't "difference makers", when you do you realise how far Rovers are sinking. It's now become very clear that Rovers are completely incapable of renewing current first team players contracts. This is the future under the direction of Suhail Pasha and Venky's and it isn't a sustainable one in the Championship. Any decent owner would sack all involved in the laughable number of players down to 1 year left on their deal. Total incompetence. List the club for sale!! It's time to go. Venky's and Pasha OUT! -

Obviously the first half of last season he and his teammates were loving life doing well at the top end of the league and playing under a manager they gave everything for and had galvanised the club in the space of a few months, The time for new contracts was then and had that been done I'm sure that most of Travis, Batth, Weimann, Brittain and Dolan would have signed up and we would have secured our foundations for years to come, perhaps even more importantly it would probably have persuaded Eustace and his team to stick around and keep going. But the people at the top of this club - with their questionable links, backgrounds and no reason to believe any of them have a clue about running football clubs - know better. This is what makes it even more difficult to accept - that we had what we needed in the palm of our hand and they have dismantled it in 6 short months for no real reason. -

Expected Hyam to the next one as will have suitors, Tronstad seems to go under the radar and anyone wanting Hedges must be batshit mental. Managed decline. -

"The 29-year-old, who played every minute of Rovers' Championship season in 2024/25, has been offered a new two-year contract on the same terms as the deal he signed in 2021 when he arrived from Coventry City." So in other words, a pay drop taking into account inflation etc -

I don't think Hyam should get much of a bump. Adjust his wages for inflation and I think it's a decent offer based on what he contributes to the team. -

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25389814.dom-hyam-contract-deadlock-blackburn-rovers-offer/ And another one Dom Hyam's long-term future at Blackburn Rovers is in doubt after unresolved contract talks between club and player. The Lancashire Telegraph can exclusively reveal details of negotiations that has led to uncertainty over whether he will be at Ewood Park before the summer transfer window shuts. Hyam is one of four first-team players out of contract at Rovers this summer. Lewis Travis, Sondre Tronstad and Ryan Hedges are the others with Adam Forshaw also signing up to a new one-year deal in the summer. The 29-year-old, who played every minute of Rovers' Championship season in 2024/25, has been offered a new two-year contract on the same terms as the deal he signed in 2021 when he arrived from Coventry City. READ MORE: Lewis Travis' Blackburn Rovers wish, contract stand-off and inside messy divorce That would extend his stay at Rovers until 2027, so a further 12 months on his current deal, which expires next summer. Hyam is not at the top of Rovers' wage list but, equally, as a senior player, is not at the bottom either. After three successful seasons at Blackburn, the deal on offer is not one that is likely to be signed at the time of writing. Sources have reiterated to the LT that Hyam is happy at Rovers and has no interest in leaving the club this summer. If Blackburn want to move in a different direction, he is happy to see out the final year of his deal or sign a new deal if the offer is improved. However, Rovers are open to a sale if the defender is unwilling to commit his future. Club sources claim that there were indications that this level of contract would be accepted. That is disputed by sources close to the player. Blackburn do not want to risk losing any more players on free transfers after Tyrhys Dolan's exit. As a result, Hyam's future is up in the air and it's possible he could leave the club this month if an acceptable offer arrives. At the time of writing, The LT is not aware of any formal offers to the club or player from rival teams. He remains a key player for Valerien Ismael and despite this stand-off, there is no suggestion he won't continue to be involved. Rovers have also verbally communicated that they're open to discussions with Ryan Hedges but no formal contract offer has been tabled. The club opened talks with the Welshman last December but nothing materialised with a change of head coach, a chaotic end to the season and Chief Executive Steve Waggott leaving. In the last month, Rovers have again intimated a willingness to resolve his expiring contract but the structure of their proposal has been unclear and no agreement is close. -

On Tuesday we played a kid keeper and another youngster in Montgomery. There's an argument the rest are generally first team or in close contention. The only real excuse is a few of them are new to English football this summer. I think most of us will admit that there wasn't a ton of changes we could make that would make us significantly stronger. Keeper obviously. We expect a long old season. I'll not type it again but you can see the reasons why in my post here on another thread. Good luck at Stoke. -

As poor a Rovers side as I have seen in many a year tbh. Will the home crowd manage a grumble if we lose again?
