2-0 and another humbling defeat. Yet still there won't be talk of relegation within the local media or at the club itself. Nothing to see here. -

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
RevidgeBlue replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I dont doubt if VI left that he would be replaced by someone currently out of work - the question is could another out of work Coach possibly do any worse than this one (who was also out of work when we acquired him) Im still struggling to see how anyone could. Perhaps people like winning at home 4x per season or scoring twice every six hundred and odd minutes or something. -

We'll score nil, just a question of if/how many Ipswich score "Exciting times" indeed. -

Gueye last season 2186 minutes/6 goals Gudjohnsen this season 1225 minutes/7 goals Doesn't matter at all about whether he started or came on, they are still minutes on the pitch, but for the record, of his 44 league appearances in 24/25 he started 23 and came on as sub 21. I wish him well, but he wasn't good enough for us. -

Not wishing to defend the owners but Pasha doesnt live 5000 miles away nor the Head Coach who said they could fix the pitch in lieu of signing players. The Club is rotten to the core. -

The usual. Identifying players we can't/refuse to pay for. Cracking work if you can get it. -

I imagine for this game he will go with a relative safe option in Pickering, his lack of attacking threat won't matter in this game because we will barely get out of our own half. -

Strong effort vs Hull. I feel much more confident of Rovers’ defending, than their ability to score; but not really confident of either. Yuki or Cantwell, maybe; honestly, I can’t see more than 1. tractors,2; Rovers, 1. -

I don't think anyone else is back. I think prior to the Hull defeat, Ismael said Mori and Gudjohnsen were still about 3 weeks away. So probably looking at another 2 weeks before anyone else gets back. -

2-0, we're not getting close to this lot now. We barely have a goal in us and we haven't strengthened any position we've needed to in January thus far. The defence can't hold out forever and it will crack at some point. -

The scary part s I am pretty sure his replacement is in the building Pears for next season, and then when he leaves in the summer of 2027, Michalski will still have 2 years left + an option until 2030 If they manage to offload Pears earlier for a fee (I don't think they will get an offer high enough for them to think it is worth selling, so he will stay like Hedges has done this season) then we will probably get an Ethan Horvath esc journeyman to sit on the bench and promote Michalski a year earlier Edit - for clarity - I am of the opinion that Pears is a more than capable second choice at this level -

Does anyone have a clear idea who is back from injury? We need Gudjonsen up front desperately, and it's really unclear who will play left and right wing back? I guess with Cashin coming in alongside McLoughlin and Atcheson enables Miller to move out to RWB, but no idea what we do at LWB. Powell? Or suck it up and play players we know can't do that role (Riberio, Pickering, De Neve). I guess midfield we will play Baradji, Cantwell and Tronstad. Toth should come back in. -

8.6 million including add ons. Seems a lot for a lad from the Hungarian league, must have something about him. European football will help him catch the eye. 20 years old with 9 Hungarian caps already suggests he does warrant a higher fee than our own Toth, who Rudy would probably take about 2.5 million for but I wouldn't even consider it without a quality replacement in the building. -

Henriksson looked a lot less worse in the pocket than up top. I don't understand why we don't switch the formation when we don't have the players to play 3-5-2. -

Tbf, he said he wouldn't continue with his ludicrous argument that Gueye was worse than Brown and Varney. Which he did then continue with a bit after saying that but hey. I was bored of the repetitiveness of it, and he's welcome to his opinion, so I stopped replying and he seemed to stop talking about it too. The post today is, as far as I can see, just an argument that Gueye isn't a very good striker. Which hardly anybody disagrees with and is very different to basically saying he's the worst striker to ever pull on a shirt for an extended period. So he isn't still continuing a day later in fairness. -

Especially since they're billionaires and pitch spend is exempt from FFP. Crazy that some fans don't see the failure to invest in the pitch, stadium and womens team is the ultimate proof they're not just hamstrung by FFP but actively don't want to invest. -
Nobody pays attention to the announced crowd these days. Leicester, West Ham have both had very empty grounds in recent weeks with ‘27,000’, ‘58,000’ announced or whatever.
