  1. Past hour
  2. Experience and know how. Could do a lot worse Looked more like the Forshaw we knew about towards the end of the season. Usual crew in hysterics - in effect, it’s another part of what was a good squad staying. Can’t complain
  3. Wow......well, that's one way of spinning it. Chaddy would be proud of you for that one. Simon Garner had better fetch his boots down out of the attic. VI might fancy sprucing up the attack as well.
  4. The only positive about the Forshaw signing is that he adds experience. However, Tronstad and Travis have plenty of experience and they are basically captain and vice captain, so there is enough between them to help younger players. Clubs that sign Squad fillers aren't ever going to achieve anything. At best, they'll stand still. A much better plan would have been getting Tronstad and Travis onto new contracts 6 months ago, selling Buckley, signing 2 new players (probably from abroad), one with a reasonable amount of experience and the other a bit younger, who can challenge and develop. You've then got the likes of Montgomery also involved and pushing the rest/getting minutes. As it stands, Travis, Tronstad and Forshaw all walk for nothing in 12 months and we need to spend a lot money on a huge problem that could have been avoided well in advance.
  5. Mate my pants are already down and I'm handing my money over as we speak
  6. Forshaw signing is OK for me if he's an "as well as ..." but not if he's an "instead of ...". So if we sign others (of quality) and keep hold of Trav/Tron then his dressing room presence/experience will be useful. The reality is of course that we don't sign quality and we lose Trav so if that was to be the case then this is another low water mark moment. As an aside I like Garrett, he has attitude. Hope he has an impressive pre season and breaks through (oh and he's free so in the current climate what the heck).
  7. No doubt next signing will be Woodrow πŸ˜”
  8. Doesn't even make sense on a pay to play contract - where he is paying us to play.
  9. Spot on, if he's first or second replacement, then OK signing. If he's a starter, then obviously not. As you say, the longer the season went on, the better he got, which shouldn't be a surprise given he hadn't been playing at Plymouth. It also looks like a signing with Ismael's blessing to me, which bodes well going forward.
  10. It would be fair assessment, but clearly not one you agree with. Then again, CM’s aren’t your strong point so maybe young Chadster’s presumed assessment is accurate πŸ˜‰
  11. Fucking annoying isn’t it!
  12. Today
  13. It will be "Ismael wanted the signing" and then questioning anyone by saying "dont you want Ismael to have final say." Not realising or purposefully missing the fact that you can believe that the manager should have final say AND sometimes disagree with his choices.
  14. Smacks of mates rates by Gestede too, giving his crocked Boro teammate another year for god know what reason.
  15. Pathetic decision and shows exactly how far we've gone. We can't even resign Batth but Forshaw presumably costs peanuts in comparison.
  16. Chaddy must be locked in his war bunker discussing furiously with his Press Secretary how to spin this signing. I'm Predicting: "Pleased with this signing. A good dollop of experience to help the younger players". πŸ™‚
  17. Look at that pitch. Like Blackpool beach.
  18. We all said he'd be back. Most people just thought they would leave it till the end of the window before sneaking him in. You know, after a semi-positive signing. But no. The fact he's being touted as a a 'signing' is hilarious. They're openly taking the piss at Ewood.
  19. "He's just a back up" "He's just a squad player" "He's cheap" "He won't be playing much" A signing that shows nothing but a real lack of ambition or forward planning and just further evidence of cost cutting.
  20. According to some they did offer him a deal but he wanted to see if there was anything else. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
  21. Also on Forshaw. Its telling that we didnt give him a new deal straight away. An act of desperation to then go back.
  22. Charlton, Bolton even Reading will catch up then pass us in the coming years the way it's going.
  23. I disagree on the Eustace stance. Out dirty laundry was aired publicly for all to see regarding the court case / struggling finances etc well before Eustace too the role. A quick search that any person can do would show the failed windows we have had, the failure of duty of care for some players we messed about all on top of what was already obvious re venkys so ANY manager taking us they should have done their due diligence and if they have and still accept the role then they can’t be surprised
  24. I dont get this idea that its fine as long as he isnt for the first team. We repeatedly have issues in the second half of the season with squad depth. Our squad players are massive downgrades and when they have prolonged periods in the team, which will likely happen at some stage, results drop off. Its all well and good thinking he will be useful to see games out etc but thats assuming everyone is fit 46 games a season.
  25. The most concerning part of the Forshaw signing is he very well could be here to take the place of Travis when he’s shipped off to Wrexham
  26. Was only a joke mate, don’t take it so hard.
