  1. Past hour
  2. They should be doing it as fast as they can. That doesnt mean panicking and getting someone crap. They shouldnt speed up/slow down based on each passing result. Getting a new competent manager should be the pressing priority. I dont trust them but that is what they should be doing.
  3. Additions outside of the window are subject to the EFL giving permission - I’ve no idea how often they grant this.
  4. Precisely why they won't be appointed? All the names of good managers mentioned is not in the RG plan is it -don't they just want a bland coach who does as he is told and does the best with what he gets?
  5. It should though depending on the calibre of whoever is available permanently. (Assuming Johnson can steady the ship) I dont know if they were rushed into selecting Ismael by the result in Lowe's 3rd game - I tend to believe they happened across someone who was "aligned" - but if they were panicked into it, look how badly that turned out.
  6. If whoever the new guy is wants to play a back 4 (and isn't told he has to play Cashin there), Pickering & Ribeiro may come back into consideration Probably also depends on how bad Pratts injury is, could be up to 8 weeks, so they may leave him out and then loan him to a National League team (non league loans out can still be done) for the final month or so of the season
  7. it may be boring and pragmatic, but nothing maverick and Gudjohnsen, Baradji and Pickering/Ribeiro can come on and impact appropriately
  8. We need a robbie savage , billic or Keane kind of character , someone who would scare the shit out of gestede so he stays the fuk away from team management and good performance coming from fear of the gaffer
  9. Maybe we play him second half of the season, he scores a bagful of goals to keep us up, Pasha is fired and the Venky's sell the club and we sell him in the summer for big money to pay for our squad rebuild?
  10. Cashin has been our best player in the last 2 games. And why is Tyjon suddenly starting, and Atcheson back in your team?
  11. The speed of the process shouldnt be altered depending on tonights result. Especially considering that Sheffield Wednesday are an anomoly in this league, they are nowhere near the standard and lose to nil repeatedly so beating them is strongly expected. Time is not on our side, games are ticking by. We need to make the decision as quickly and as efficiently as is reasonably possible, without rushing. Assuming the sacking was coming they should have already known who they wanted but this is Rovers. We had this with Lowe. We won 2 initially so we dallied and then all of a sudden we got battered at Swansea and it seemingly caused a rush. You cant just base this decision game by game based on each result. The urgency shouldnt vary dependant onln each result. Of course everyone wishes Johnson the best but they would wish any manager of our club well in getting us good results. I have no idea if he will, purely speculative. If he does want to get involved, he holds more power than Johnson so I suspect he would get his way.
  12. Thanks both, should be Hedges plus one other obviously. I'd go for either Pickering or Ribeiro. Wouldn't be averse to leaving another out if we thought there were any decent free agents we could land.
  13. Toth Alebiosu O'Riordan Atcheson Pickering Tronstad Baradji Cantwell Tyjon Jorgensen Gudjohnssen
  14. Slaven Bilic has the best record of the ones mentioned. He has a desire and are a very enthusiastic manager/coach. Think he could work his magic on this crop of players.
  15. 2 need to be left out (3 if we include Garrett) 7pm this eve is the deadline I think. But I think that there is a potential workaround. If Damien Johnson only names the 20 players (or less if we have some U21 players involved) who feature in tonight's squad in our 25,. then others can be added later, they just cannot be removed from the 25 man list unless they are sold or loaned elsewhere (there are still some windows open - Portugal, Netherlands, Turkey, Greece are some of the bigger ones
  16. We still need to cut 2 players from the 27. Feels like it would be Hedges and 1 other. Easy make a case for De Neve or Henriksson but I don't think it will be either of them. Henriksson was signed on a contract until 2029, so someone believes he'll come good at some point. More likely to be Picks or Ribeiro, might even just pay them off and cut them loose, whichever is cheapest.
  17. When do we have to announce who isnt being registered? Are there one or two spaces to free up?
  18. Nyambe was brilliant when he was here as the RB in a back four, his career fell off a cliff after he left here and he was briefly without a Club but there's no reason to suggest he couldn't have continued in the same vein had he stayed. Saw him on TV playing for Derby as the wing back on the right of a 3-5-2. That doesnt suit him either.
  19. Those types of tackles don't exist in professional football anymore Tyrone. It's all hand bags at dawn and tiny shin pads.
  20. There is something baffling here that could sprout any number of conspiracy theories. Maybe he is our super sub that will catapult us into mid table obscurity. Amazing what a freshly ground single source Colombian medium roast coffee squeezed through an Aeropress will do for your optimism.
  21. I'd hope not but if he does, Johnson needs to stick to his guns. Do you think he will?
  22. Midweek games for our loanees Tuesday 7:45pm kick off Edmondson - score/update Wood - score/update Wednesday 4am kick off (UK Time) Duru - score/update
  23. Is Elliot Jackson actually going to do his job and produce some rovers content in the LET? He’s banned from the ground so can’t get any interviews and now he just posts stuff we know from other places anyway (like the Mowbray non-story). I pay for the LET app purely for Rovers coverage. Last transfer window he did the live blog and updated about once every 4 hours and it was the same yesterday. I know there were no signings to talk about but what about opinion? Why isn’t he writing a piece profiling possible new managers? We lost our manager yesterday, we are looking for a new one. We have the most important game of our season tonight and he hasn’t written anything since 11 hours ago.
  24. From the original allocation (I don't what that was) Rovers have acceded to a request from Norwich to return a full block. Our sales were slow and Norwich can sell them apparently. We have now in the region of 450 tickets which have all gone. This indicates to me that on arrival anybody going will be told to sit anywhere which kind of defeats the object of picking decent seats soon after they go on sale. The same thing happened at Ipswich and there were lots of issues as some fans wanted to sit in their chosen seats.
  25. Today
  26. Managerial Hall of Shame: Berg: 10 games 10% win ratio Iley: 16 games 12.5% win ratio Pickering: 61 games 24.5% win ratio Ismael: 43 games, 25.6% win ratio 4th worst ever manager in 150 years, bravo and goodnight. (You-know-who will always be the worst and only one truly hated, but for many reasons beyond on-pitch results)
