  1. Past hour
  2. Hi, I did sign up and haven't heard anything so far. Do you know roughly when you'll be in touch, so I know when to check things haven't landed in my junk mail etc?
  3. Spurs have recalled Dorrington just six months into his loan spell, having only been given a handful of starts in the Scottish Premiership, as well as some minutes across Europe.
  4. @M_B would you mind having a look at the quoted post and adding your thoughts. You seem like a good alternative person to ask.
  5. Last thing we need is a loan CB, we already have enough young guys from academy there. If we do get a CB it has to be an experienced guy with impeccable fitness record, ideally some international games.... Someone like that Wrexham Captain Dom Hyam....
  6. I've been in the he's had a tough hand camp, but the lads on the Blackburn End podcast today made some great points about VI and I'm edging towards the he needs to go camp.
  7. I'll definitely be attending, and everyone I've asked, and there's been a few, is also going. That's not to say I'm happy with what is happening at the club. The way this has been organised has become extremely divisive, it's being portrayed as some do or die cliff edge moment when we all know it's anything but, and the ridiculous rhetoric will only be ramped up even more as next weekend approaches. It should be obvious to anyone that most will still attend, a lot won't even know about the "boycott". Rather than attempt to drive a wedge between the two factions, which was an obvious consequence of the whole idea, if there was a visual protest inside the ground to run alongside the number staying away, it would have been a way to unite the whole thing, holding up a red card at a certain time for example. The whole boycott thing is riddled with contractions, but I could get on board with showing frustrations within the ground.
  8. 6 ft 4 , won the Scottish cup and made premier league debut last season, not sure he’s a little boy.
  9. I do back boycotts etc.. but A poker player, crypto bro and a relative of the Jordanian royal family all walk into a bar…
  10. Hope not we have little boys who can play cb already, need experience
  11. Yep. and the game is now run entirely for the benefit of those with the most.
  12. behind a certain Ashley Phillips in the pecking order for centre backs at Spurs
  13. Alfie Dorrington may be one to watch, recalled by Spurs, likely to be going back out to the championship
  14. Quite a lot of noise that Arsenal are still looking to sign Tyjon. Also saw a claim that one of the offers we rejected for him in the summer was 2.2 million, which is far higher than I'd seen before, and that he's now available for about 1 mill. If that's the case (as long as the 2.2 wasn't 80% in add ons) you have to question why we would turn that down. Which means we probably didn't, but assuming it's true for a second you'd surely go straight to the player and say 'look is there any way you're signing this deal or not?'. And if the answer is no you flog him. Keeping him, refusing to play him cos he won't sign, and seeing his market value halve 6 months later is just fucking dumb.
  15. It was never a kids programme. It's rated as a 15. Contains swearing, violence, horror and gore. It just has kids in the main roles - well, it did when it started, they're all adults now. Lots of 80s nostalgia. It recalls a lot of films from around then in various ways, and I think that's part of why they chose to have the main cast be kids. Because the writers probably grew up themselves in that era, and saw films like The Goonies, Gremlins etc as well as the adult stuff. For the first three seasons, I thought it was good but not worth the huge level of hype. But the fourth season was truly excellent. The fifth somewhere inbetween.
  16. Today
  17. Start this evening for Edmondson - score/update
  18. The battle for who gets sacked first tonight? Anything but a West Ham win and surely Nuno is gone and rumours that Dyche already under some pressure
  19. Hope Forest win tonight to push West Ham 7 points from safety and Burnley 9 points from safety.
  20. Both Maresca and Amorim left/sacked because of disagreements with higher ups. I have read plenty on both with the overarching summary being that the powers that be directly or indirectly infringed on the first team boss's independent authority over team tactics and selection. Man U haven't won the league since 2013, Chelsea 2017. If both owners carry on as they are it will be a long time before either does so again. Chelsea's owners goals looks to be making money from player sales (I'm sure this plan was put to Venkys in the past) so will only buy young and aim to profit later. It does seem strange though as Chelsea are one of world football's biggest spenders so the market for sales is small, or to league rivals. Ratcliffe and his merry band of analysts running the show for the Glazers want to recreate the Ferguson years by stamping a "philosophy" and "playing the Man U way" onto the club. Good luck doing that whilst changing managers every 15 months, buying sub standard players, and isolating academy lads who made it to the first team.
  21. The way things are going, we will be all getting misty-eyed and nostalgic for the days of K & G when we could at least attract international players to East Lancashire, instead of scrambling for crumbs from Chorley & Morecambe's meagre tables... Pointless (adj: having little or no sense, use or purpose) "retaining ownership of a once successful football club, whilst refusing to undertake any meaningful basic action in support of its operations, current position or future potential." e.g. Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd. /Blackburn Rovers Oxford English Dictionary
  22. Some might say they've been increasingly far more interested in the corporate coin than those on the terraces. Again you reap what you sow and if they've invested time, money and thinking into all that then about time they did the same with regular fans. However when you have an over promoted grifter suddenly deciding who he wants in the already sparse stadium and where he wants them you realise the issues we are up against. SELF serving, self protecting, career first ladder climbers and wage takers.
  23. Kargbo and Gueye being number 7 and 9 for former premier league champions tells you all you need to know about how bad we’ve become under these lot
  24. Just watched one of your tunes on YT in the Napia lol
  25. It's mental considering the players that have worn those shirts....
