  1. Past hour
  2. There was a photo showing various players supporting the player liason lady who left, be interesting to see who was on the photo.
  3. Might need some snakes for Watford away too! If Hyam leaves πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  4. I struggle to see how Buckley has been treated awfully by the club. Hasn't been good enough, nor shown the right attitude, for years.
  5. I'm not sure they have a strong squad, they have made (as you say) some very strong signings for their first team, but the squad players (Elliott Lee, O'Connell etc) are good League One players to me, not Championship players. Obviously if they make another 10 signings this week, then that changes
  6. It does appear as though they want a clean slate, anyone who came through the previous regime or questions the current one, is out on their arse.
  7. If Buckley, Pears, Gueye and now Hyam go this week then that's virtually a clean sweep. Perhaps that's what Rudy mean when he said it would be an exciting window - he's selling the whole damn team! Foreign owners, foreign board, foreign head of football operations, foreign manager, foreign players - you're damn right it doesn't feel like "Blackburn" Rovers any more. I'm sticking with Inter Rovers.
  8. Travis certainly has. To have Ismael repeatedly calling him out in the press and worse still, to have someone internal hiding behind that anonymous privy twitter account tweeting about him (and Brittain) is just totally lacking class. He happily played against West Brom despite rumours and we know what this club is like. Still, attempts to make him seem the villain seem to have partly worked and some idiots will be ordering one more inflatable snake for the Derby game.
  9. Are you over 6ft tall? Are you at a relatively unknown middling 2nd rate European club? Are you open to less than 10k a week? Step forward, now is your time!
  10. When he went through, his attempts or lack of to remain offside were really poor.
  11. Whatever you think if they β€œfit val’s system” they’ve both served (Bucko been here since he was a kid and Trav for a decade) they’ve been treat awfully by the club and I hope they open up about it.
  12. I would suspect that the club may think they have enough in Tronstad, Baradji, Tavares, Montgomery & Forshaw, depending upon the fitness/injury status of Baradji & Forshaw Or at least they may feel that other positions are more important. I would suspect if we do get another one in, it will be a teenager on loan to tide us over until January, probably on deadline day
  13. I wouldn't go anywhere near Dennis again he's clearly a spent player just hanging around for the money, what he did years ago is irrelevant it's what he's done recently he needs judging on. As for Gueye it's a tricky one as i think a squad needs a player like that in it who can come on and put it about physically but yesterday showed the other side to him. You'd back Leonard over him 9 times out of 10 when put through on goal and although offside he still fluffed a chance he should be burying, tangled his feet up on another then head down straight away and starts moaning. He's definitely replaceable but will they and with what ? We need a good striker not another might do might not winger or midfielder.
  14. We badly need a striker. Regardless of sales, but I would happily let Gueye go. No excuse not to get one. We wanted one at the start of the summer, and nothing has happened to reduce that need.
  15. Buckley and Travis have both left Rovers by the looks of it given their Instagram following. Do we want another centre midfielder? Maybe so. We need right winger in. Pears will go. Probably Derby. Can't see him staying now he is 4th/5th. Whatever has actually happened there. Plenty of rumours tho what has actually. Maybe find out after he gone. I would loan Leonard out. Not sure if he has been told to leave as rumours suggest or why this is the case
  16. I wonder whether Wrexham get rid of Parkinson assuming results continue. Some of their signings are really good and they certainly have a very strong squad at this level. They keep conceding late on and also the choice to start Ward in net will keep costing them. Parkinson has proven before that he often struggles at this level, and although he has a very strong Championship squad likely to be strengthened further, one a good manager could really push on, they arent levels above most of the league like they have been in the past so it requires better management. That being said, its hard to read their owners. Theyve obviously transformed that club but I wonder if their achilles heel will be being too loyal.
  17. That's why they are unrealistic, Rovers do not pay the wages that a top level Championship player such as Adam Armstrong or Rak-Sakyi would want. This is why we are looking for "unpolished gems" (Im being positive after yesterday) from the european lower leagues
  18. There would be absolutely no viable reason to go for Dennis. He had one good season quite a while ago and has had various poor loan spells, was dreadul for us and is on massive wages.
  19. I dont think Gueye will leave but I would happy to move him on and replace him as he isnt good enough. Ismael has mentioned only signing 1 and replacing any outgoings but I wonder quite how that applies. For example, will Travis still be replaced as we are still one light especially with Baradji injured, or is he considered the replacement? I suspect the latter. And will players like Buckley and Leonard be replaced considering that they arent in the first team squad to begin with? We need more players but I suspect they wont be with that being the rationale. Maybe even Pears too. Hyam would surely be replaced but very difficult to get someone as good, especially when we cant offer competitive wages.
  20. New right back thankfully looks up to the task he's very Nyambeish ( you know that guy who was easy to replace for nothing but it actually cost a million quid at least). No fuss win the ball or the man and give it to someone else or get it cleared up the other end. Brittain last season was an elite Championship level performer, made a poor sideways move imo because if he signed again and bide his time a bit something better would've come along. However they know how much this club now lacks any ambition so it's hardly surprising he elected to jump to a club who doesn't first chance, plus probably a decent pay rise.
  21. Leonard has been told to find a new club, not just a loan, I think the decision has been made that he's never gonna make it.
  22. Today
  23. A psyop being used to flush out both sides before he goes back on frequent holiday jail time. Either way he's naff all to do with Blackburn Rovers FC and he isn't going to remove the regime here.
  24. It was around the time of the late equaliser so my assumption would be that we 'over celebrated' and wound up the cavemen. A friend said Wonstencroft is a Blackburn lad so he will know what it really means when we play that lot πŸ˜‚. Or perhaps something after the final whistle.
  25. A really good day for Rovers supporters particularly the 1000 at Hull who gave the team excellent backing. Yesterday was so reminiscent of West Brom last season when, almost against the odds Rovers players seemed to galvanise and show some solidarity despite the shenanigans behind the scenes. It was the perfect away performance for me in which we looked much better than Hull. Our tactics and game plan was really important and Ismael and his staff should take credit for this. Toth in great form, so solid defensively, industrious and skilful in midfield and up front which gave us the platform to achieve the result. Giving Cantwell the captaincy could well be a masterstroke from Ismael. He seemed to thrive on the responsibility and put in by far his best performance in a Rovers shirt. Hull tried every dirty trick in the book to stop him but simply couldn't. We looked a proper Championship team yesterday and the challenge for the staff and players going forward is to build on this and gain some momentum.
  26. I'm going to put Afolayan in the.same boat as Miyoshi. Nearly 28 and Β£2m, with other clubs interested. I just don't see it happening at all.
