  1. Past hour
  2. If we can keep hyam and complete Hickman then it’s a decent window but of course we’ve lost important players and replaced them with unproven players. High risk but potential high reward let’s hope it pays off
  3. We won't be hiring him, we'll just be giving him work experience to keep him busy and try to get a job done on the cheap. Meanwhile almost 4 months on and still no replacement CEO for Waggott. Who is picking up 'the slack' that he was covering last year? The work that required a Β£400k a year salary seems to have just fallen into the cracks between those that remain. Interesting.
  4. Under two hours left. Allowing for Pasha obfuscation and dysfunctional send buttons, we are probably already too late for whatever may or may not have hoped to happen. so no Garner-Hickman No Hyam to Hollywood No Gueye to Aberdeen No Leonard to Peterborough No Tyjon to Arsenal No Pears to a hairdresser.
  5. Be honest was anyone shocked at the Hyam news? I wasn’t at all
  6. Absolutely drowning in contract extensions.
  7. can’t wait for this exciting summer.
  8. They need to β€˜defend’ themselves to the Adjudicating Authority but them saying they intend to do so (if indeed they do*) may well get brought up on Wednesday. * I think we all know they will. Re your new show analogy - do you think we’re at the stage where we know it will be shit but we’re sticking with it anyways 😁😁
  9. You are still trolling then. How very sad.
  10. Erm...I'd take him as a striker coach tbh, given what his strengths were I think he could pass a lot on. But I don't see what he can bring to transfer dealings. And an odd time to hire him if true, on the day the window closes.
  11. His tongue is firmly in cheek, believe me.
  12. Fist pumps go a long way in this era.
  13. I'm not convinced Hyam will go,but there is no doubt, for better or worse, that this is definitely not a continuation of Waggott's tenure, as was eluded to in the summer.
  14. Looks like Hickman is primarily a right back so if Hyam is sold then the plan is to move Miller into the centre and backfill at right back. This is cheaper than signing an actual proven centre back (or keeping the one we already have) so fits with the cost cutting exercise that’s been happening all summer. Meanwhile our central midfield options are horrendous, options on the wings are mediocre at best and our 3 strikers are unlikely to conjure 15 goals between them. The heart and soul that has sustained this club since Mowbray rebuilt it have finally been ripped out this summer and replaced with a random mish mash of nobodies from Europes lower leagues.
  15. Gestede is certainly doing his best to shoot our club in the foot...
  16. Where would he play? He's a poor CB and I'd rather play Alebiosu at RB.
  17. You havent said anything whatsoever - that's why Im asking. All you've said is Mercer is bullshitting. Id like to know WHY you think that's the case. e.g. I know a man who knows a man and "He doesn't want to leave" "This hasnt been brewing at all" "There's nothing in it" Whatever it may be.
  18. He will earn is money if he does a job in Makhtar.
  19. Incredible summer. A side that was 1 point and 45 min from being in the playoffs is unrecognizable today.
  20. If Hyam wasn't keen to get out of here asap, especially if a club with ambition is sniffing, then I'd be questioning his sanity. If he has a choice between sticking here for 6-12 months until his contract expires trying to lead a collection of foreign signings to enough points to survive, or heading off somewhere to collect a pay rise and get a 3-4 year contract at a club that actually wants to get somewhere and do something, it is a no brainer.
