  2. I think this is wrong, certainly as far as making any complaint goes. There isn't one fan group, there are many. The club would argue the FF is representative of the most diverse range of fans. Many of the attendees represent specific fan groups. An example is K-Hod represents this forum and opemly asks if any members wish any questions to be asked. Duncan represents WATR as another example. So the club will continue to comply at the most basic level (tick) whoch most of us find unacceptable. We will need to read their new Fan Engagement Plan when it gets published. My opinion is the only way to get them, is for the Fans Forum to have a vote of no confidence in the current process. Perhaps also to say they will not attend further meetings until the open, recorded, consultation meetings are reinstated. No FF meetings mean the club cannot fullfil its obligations, as it has left itself with all its eggs in the FF basket. However that won't happen because some of the attendees hold a vastly different personal opinion to the vast majority of fans. Glen, How many of the fans forum members are part of groups within the coalition or individually support it ?
  3. Sorry, but you misunderstood the point of my post completely. I was asking the question if the previous transfer windows left our squad stronger or weaker, not if the windows got us what we needed or not. We can all agree it is too early to judge the current window.
  4. Side effects from cosmetic surgery are not uncommon ranging from pretty minor stuff to much more severe stuff. For elective surgery, I certainly wouldn't be going to Turkey! Also, heard some horrendous stuff about folk who have had dental work done in Turkey.
  5. Read the post directly underneath…👀
  6. Sorry, disagree with your post completely. In January the squad was running on absolute fumes and needed a major refresh to keep us in play off contention. I'd say the window was nothing short of a disaster. The marquis signing Kargbo went down with a serious injury after 2-3 games, barely anyone else who came in was match fit, only Ribeiro made any sort of contribution whatsoever and the manager walked out on the back of it. This window we've lost Batth and Dolan who were first team staples, Weimann who was a decent squad player and Brittain is likely to go as well. Mcloughlin might be an adequate replacement for Batth, other than that the guys who have come in are completely unproven. And that's the best case scenario, assuming neither Travis or Tronstad leave. As it stands at this precise moment I'd say it's another near disaster but Im sure Tommy will be along in a minute to remind me "It's a good job it's not the end of the window then!".
  7. Hairline fracture No, apparently a big nasty rash
  8. Batth and Weimann were on low salaries, as reported by Jackson on a few occasions. They came here to prove themselves with presumably the expectation that if they did well they would get a new contract and a pay rise. Presumably Derby offered bigger contracts.
  9. Thanks. Why is he out though? Is it infected? Or he just can’t take being ridiculed so won’t play?
  10. Good question. I had a look at his Rovers goals to find any other left footed ones that weren’t tap ins. The only one i found from the video below is 9- Wimbledon away (40 seconds into video). Maybe goal number 31 (3mins42) shows why he didn’t use his left as much?
  11. To be fair it's worked out wonderfully for us. He won't get his starting job back now.
  12. From what I've read Batth and Weimann weren't on higher salaries - we were the only team in the Championship willing to give them a chance at their respective ages.
  13. 'Goal contributions' is the new fancy term. We need a RW who either scores goals themselves (thereby creating space for teammates) or creates goals for Gueye and Ohashi. We still really, really need a set piece taker too - that's worth 10 goals a season on its own.
  14. The issue I have is last summer ‘worked’ because we brought in proven experience with Batth, Weimann and Cantwell on potentially higher salaries. Ribeiro was also proven at this level. It was a change in the recruitment philosophy and it worked. So far this year we have 1 ‘proven’ champ player and 3 unproven I suspect on cheaper salaries. Plus if we were forward thinking, we would know which of Travis, Tronstadt and Brittain were likely to leave and would be looking at suitable quality replacements now. That’s how you progress. Trying to replace like for like when they leave is just bad planning.
  15. Touché. My mistake, but it doesn't weaken my argument.
  16. Hull are in quite a predicament too, although the bookies have Oxford more likely for the drop
  17. He did lose a half a yard, but seemed to get stronger and more powerful as he grew, so maybe he was a better centre forward for it during the 94,95,96? I agree, though, the pace he had early on made him more of a threat running in behind and down the channels and wings. Best attacking player I've seen. Duff deserves a mention too. My dad says it's Duggie, mind you.
  18. Ah sorry I clearly didn't read your post properly 😶
  19. Not sure if this has already been posted somewhere, but Football League World asked AI to predict the Championship table I nearly choked on my coffee, I think this is proof that we are indeed, far, far away from a terminator style future of machines ruling the earth Edit - I wonder if the AI that they asked was the Chaddybot 4000 X Series? But with the optimism dial turned up to max (sorry Chaddy 😉 )
  20. The clue is in B16'S phrase "what Gestede is thinking".
